Page 72 – Upstarts Party Hard
Happy Friday the 13th!
Ah, to be young and ignoring doctor’s orders. The Lolipop is sure a more happening place than when we last saw it back on page 22, 50 pages ago. Looks like the place has picked up since people found out its where a certain quartet like to hang out after the matches.
And like it or not, Lady Marmalade is a crowd pleasing song, and goes well with girls singing on top of a bar to a cheering crowd. Here is the requisite YouTube link. Is it ironic that the last page had the french born Chloe De Sade and now we have the Upstarts singing Lady Marmalade?
This is the first page of many that involve a lot of background details and I’m happy with how it turned out. I especially like the fourth panel with the closeup of the Upstart girls.

What version of Lady Marmalade their’s sing? All Saints? Moulin Rouge? LeBelle? I’m not a fan of that song.

Well MGC, I’d be lying if I said that the girls haven’t been drinking. 🙂 Not a private party, just another night at the Lollipop in Chicago, but there are more people visiting than normal, as people found out that the Upstart girls go here after the matches.
So the girls are getting along, which is nice to see. 😉 Sabrina does love herself some Oasis, so maybe we’ll get a solo from her. lol

Medical Team told Sabrina to take it it easy. now I really wih Sabrina, concentrate training or on the gym, preparing her match for Loretta.
if she still ignored the doctors order, Sabrina really get hurt against Loretta. episode 21, all Loretta did is target Sabrina and neck area. if that happen on the fight, surely Sabrina will be injuried.
maybe we’ll see Sabrina, Brooke, Krystin and Sun go on training themselves a week before the match?
We’ll know on monday and the weeks to come. 😀
Just an add on.. I wish Sabrina will be serious on her next battle. knowing that Loretta is her opponent.
and kinda think, Brooke and Krystin practice their tag team and their plan how to win against the catgirls.

MGC, yeah Sabrina is partying now (against doctor’s orders) but we’ll be addressing how the girls get ready for their upcoming matches, but most likely not in the way you might expect. 😉

Yeah, I thought it was funny that De Sade is French; and then we have the Upstarts singing in French. I wonder how many versions of that song there are.
Be Careful Sabrina. don’t abuse the injury, and must take the doctors order. But I doubted that Sabrina will lose to Loretta look at her she’s Ultragirl.
Take a night rest and some R&R for the week. surely Sabrina have no problem facing Loretta.

Rasen Ghan, even Ultragirl has to unwind, but yeah, dismissing doctor’s orders is a bad idea for anyone, not saying that what Sabrina’s doing here, but just putting it out there. Big stakes are in that match between Sabrina and Loretta, so Sabrina has to bring her A-game to win it.

Hasn’t Sabrina fought Loretta before (several times?) and lost? Although I’d like her to win, I don’t think it’s guaranteed.
Glad you liked the abbreviation! lol Sabrina and Loretta fought three times before in the developmental league with Loretta winning all 3 times. You can catch the recap courtesy of Loretta on Page 21. Obviously, Sabrina is the underdog going into this match with Loretta.

I’m glad I remembered that right. Sabrina may not believe she can beat Loretta because she hasn’t yet. Or her recent wins might give her confidence. It will be interesting to see if either (or both) factor into their fight.
