Page 325 – De Sade
The return of Chloe De Sade! And uncharacteristically without her stablemates, Hell’s Belles. Seems she could’ve used them as this was one sneak attack too many. Sabrina’s gotten wise to this and finally flipped the script on her hated adversary. Sabrina has the upper hand and is warned by Chloe and cautioned by Jeff to walk away. I know a lot of you have been waiting for Sabrina to finally give back to Chloe. Since I just got back from Las Vegas, what are the odds that Sabrina walks away from this? She is pretty gassed after all she’s been through and continuing this with someone like De Sade might not be the smartest play.
Missing a key on key board…just to warn. Yea rig t, like t e rest of t e Belles aren’t nearby or iding. T oug enoug is enoug . I don’t t ink Damage inc will be able to stop lil’ dragon t is time, s e can only take so muc . T en again, Sabrina is gaining ot er allies. W o’s to say Xtina isn’t pissed about belles tossing Angel into t eir matc ! Yea Brina’s mad as t e weapon and is drained…I just don’t see er using it. Really going to t at poor elbow, yet s e is on top of t e game. Can’t wait till Wednesday.
I have to agree to Albone.. it’s not like Chloe De Sade, coming out without a backup.. maybe another sneak attack..
if another sneak attack, Sabrina will strike on Jennifer and Katherine using the shinai..but got blindsided, as Chloe attack Sabrina..
here’s another trick.. Sun came to help, making it a two on one against Chloe, as Sabrina accidentally hit Sun with a shinai.. (interesting)… now Damage Inc will have Sun.. and reason out that Sabrina don’t like Sun..
(payoff)
Sabrina hits Chloe here.. (Yes, I’ll be very disappointed on Sabrina) … the pay off is that.. Sabrina will lose on PPV.. not only that! maybe more.. hehehe!!
Love to see ‘White Queen’ Chloe De Sade back!!!
🙂
ah!!! hope to see the contract signing!!
M.G.C., why do you always have to suggest the worst result of every possible situation? A little positive thinking never hurt anyone.
And I don’t see Sabrina being so careless or malicious as to not try to stop if De Sade were to move, or be moved by Needles and/or Smith, as the case may be in the given situation, and Sun was in the line of fire. I mean, Sun’s no moron. Sure, she may come out, but if it came down to that, she’d be just as apt to stop the blow before it could connect as she would to not realize what happened and take it.
Of course, if Sabrina were to attack De Sade, and Needles and Smith were to come out from “nowhere,” and Sun and Xtina Carpenter come from the back as backup, the logical move would to have there be on the next week’s card a 4-0n-3 Handicap match, the real Hell’s Belles, Chloe De Sade, Jen Needles, and Kat Smith, and Angel Soprano vs. Sabrina Mancini, Sun Wong, and Xtina Carpenter. Or make it 4-on-4 and toss Marina or somebody in there on Sabrina’s team.
seeing Sabrina and Chloe in the ring fighting each others.. just like they’re sisters fighting.. hehehe!!
just funny thought!!
Whoa whoa whoa.
Why do I have the feeling that Sabrina has become more and more like John Cena of Rival Angels. He has a match which resulted in her arm got re-injured, suffer a rabbit punch, getting hit by Angel Soprano’s finishing move Killshot, but yet still able to eliminate Xtina from the match and even end up winning the match. And yet she still has the energy to cut a promo afterwards, ambushed by Chloe’s kendo stick, and yet again STILL has the energy to grab that kendo stick.
I know that next of course Jen & Kat will definitely appear and ambushing Sabrina from behind. But seriously, if Sabrina still has the energy to fend off all three at once, then Sabrina is definitely the John Cena of Rival Angels. I will be personally dissapointed because Cena sucks and I don’t want Sabrina to become like Cena.
I think M.G.C. likes to play devils advocate a bit. Not negative, just exploring possibilities…I don’t see her being like John Cena. She does train hard which pays off and she plays off her emotions (through good or bad). A human body well trained can take a lot of damage at a prime age, but the adrenaline wears off and the human crashes. Be really interesting to see how this plays out. (found the H key and taped it down)
thank you! vekara..
now sabrina train hard, but perfecting a gogoplata is much too chew with
12 weeks in a developmental territory..
and I still say.. not only sabrina train hard.. all of the angels train hard, well except brooke..
I think she should just leave, as she might risk getting a DQ
Half of me wants her to *not* sink to the Hells Belles level… the over half of me totally wants to see her go postal on de Sade! 🙂
Sabrina’s gonna kill you! Sabrina’s gonna kill you!
Oh, sorry, got caught up in all the fun! Looks like the Wicked Bitch of the West forgot to hold on to her little magic wand! Probably drank a bit too much in her private suite…
So, does this mean that Sabrina is now a fully trained Jedi?
I think Sabrina’s gonna drop the kendo stick and walk away from this. Not because of Chloe’s warning, more because she won’t sink to that. Not to mention she’s probably running only on adrenaline and incredibly exhausted. Granted, whatever she does, I imagine the rest of the Belles won’t be far behind and Sabrina will end up a bit more worse for wear.
Just walk away, Sabrina, but Take The Stick With You. Don’t leave a weapon behind with someone that you KNOW is inclined to use it again. Granted, this doesn’t mean much when you consider that the other two Belles will most likely show up with chairs or something else. But for amusement’s sake, I’m gonna throw out another possibility – Chloe doesn’t try to take her down yet (saving that for her “hometown showdown” – still don’t believe she’s really French), but instead once Sabrina leaves the others show up and they publicly trash Angel Soprano for failing her audition.
Hey Albone! Congratulations on your two nominations at The Webcomic List Awards!
damn Chloe must be a ninja to be able to sneak up on Brina that way without even the usual ” fans yelling to the oblivious face that the heel is sneaking up from behind her” warning. maybe she was under the ring?
but ya know, considering all the talk, Chloe has been doing we haven’t actually seen her do anything in the ring other than whack someone with a weapon. would be kinda funny if Chloe was really bad in the ring but no one ever noticed before because the other two do all the work. 😉
i’m going to go with the the following scenario though for the next update- Chloe scoots between the ropes (note in the last panel she’s alredy bending her leg as if to slip between the ropes). Brina takes a wild swing at her with the stick and misses. While they jaw back and forth the other two come in from the other behind for the ambush. Chloe sneaks back into the ring and gloats about her superiority while the beatdown goes down.
Dawn needs to relax a little, seems awfully jumpy towards poor Jeff in panel 2. ;P
Vekara, sorry to see your keyboard on the fritz. Good point about Xtina possibly coming out if she needs to. You can bet that Sabrina and Xtina have some unfinished business between them. Glad you got that H key working after all! XD
MGC, those are some interesting scenarios that could play out. We’ll know a bit more on Wednesday. I find it odd that you are fine with Sabrina knowing how to do the Ultrasplash but you don’t think she could learn the Gogoplata. There actually is a small side story involving how she came to learn it (and from someone else’s POV!) but sometimes…I really don’t get you. I do get, or I should say that I did predict that you would enjoy the return of Chloe. 😉
Tarrasque, yeah, that’s definitely a more pragmatic way of breaking down what could happen. That 4 on 4 match would be a doozy, eh? XD
PS2kid, I’m not worried about comparisons to Cena. I have quite a lot of readers that never watch wrestling or even know who Cena is. Not to mention that Cena is normally in the World title picture and Sabrina isn’t even on a first name basis with the champ. But maybe to explain further…Angel’s not the best wrestler and she needs to be tricky to win her matches. She also made the mistake of mockingly antagonizing Sabrina before she got Ultrakicked. Chloe is an opportunist and a coward. The first sign of Sabrina finally fighting back and she folded like a house of cards. Of course, this could all be a trick, Horseman style. 😉 But the bit with the kendo stick came straight from Tommy Dreamer after he was in a rough match and turned the tide on his attacker. Or maybe Sabrina’s tired of being sneak attacked? The only thing I can really say is that things are going to pick up pretty quickly.
Darkmark, the match is in the books and Sabrina is officially in the finals for the TV title. No chance of a DQ now, though fines are a another story. O_o
Lora, that was definitely the kind of cliffhanger question I wanted to leave with you. 😉
GhostEraser, the crowd is eating it up, seeing De Sade on the receiving end of her own medicine. She choked after seeing that Sabrina won’t crumple. Heh, we do know that Chloe like her wine. Sabrina’s no Jedi yet, but that might not stop her from going Michael Myers on Chloe with the kendo stick.
Chris, you guessed right that Sabrina’s running on fumes but knowing Sabrina, that won’t factor into what she’ll do next. It’ll be about what she’s feeling and how she’ll deal with that. As for the Belles, they never are too far behind, are they?
Cookie Ogre, that’s a very good scenario. Could something big like that be coming? Most definitely, but I can’t really say for sure. 😛
I got Ninja’d!
ThirtySeven, thanks for letting me know! That’s very cool!! And congrats for being nominated for Best Non-traditional Art! I’m crossing my fingers for you. 😀
jpiv, that is a fine theory you got worked out. I can’t say much on it, but things are going to pick up around here. That’s also a good catch about Chloe. We actually haven’t seen her do anything on her own and/or without the kendo stick. 😛 Good catch on the almost immediate retreat from Ms De Sade.
Hmmm Maybe Sabrina has been watching me practice bo jutsu? If so then Chloe could be in for a tough time because there’s whacking and then there’s WHACKING hehee But will she go there? I’d say no. I see her walking away with the stick. I look forward to finding out!
If this stays one on one I think De Sade has biten off more than she can chew but when it comes to a stable its always about the numbers game, If I were Sabrina…I’d be watching my back right now more than worrying about who’s in front of you. Keep in mind, you’re the one with the weapon now…use it wisely!
Ah, Champ, she just might’ve been scouting and learning from some footage of you! I promise this won’t be a mystery long, what Sabrina will do.
RAWF, that was Sun’s point a while back; It’s all about the numbers game. But a good point, Sabrina is the one with the weapon. 😉
First off, I don’t think the Cena comparison is quite valid. I see where the readers would come to that conclusion, because Sabrina is shown as being very tough and hasn’t lost yet (except in the flashback.) They are both almost pure babyfaces and they both are shown taking punishment and coming out on top.
However, Cena went to the main event, the top, and was a dominant champion for a long time. We have been reading this comic for years, but in strip time Sabrina is a rookie and hasn’t had many matches in the big leagues yet. So far she has worked her way up the card and stayed undefeated, but in wrestling we have seen a lot of rookies have a hot streak before someone finally figures out how to beat them. Kurt Angle did this in WWF, Lance Storm in WCW, Umaga did this, and even the Miz for a little while had one of these pushes going. They usually wind up losing at some point and might even struggle for a while.
If this strip goes on for years and years and Sabrina never takes a pin or a beatdown, then yeah, she’s Hulk Hogan or Cena or whatever super babyface you want to name. But we’re not anywhere close to that now.
Okay, someone with more wrestling knowledge than me may need to explain. If Sabrina already won, then would it matter if she squared off against Chloe here and lost? It doesn’t count, right?
Trevor-Sabrina’s in the clear as far as the tournament goes, this is what they call “the post-match attack” where the heels (usually) jump the face after she’s had a match because she’s not at 100%. most of the time it’s not considered an actual match (sometimes the commisioner will come out and make it a match but not usually) but serves as a way to tease a confrontation between the two wrestlers feuding before their big match actually takes place. The face may do some damage to some underlings but somehow not quite get their hands on the person they’re really after. In this case to hype the PPV match it’s 99.99% unlikely this will turn into an actual match between Chloe and Brina.
results of a post match attack will usually include 1) face gets beaten down by the baddies. 2) face managed to survive the initial attack, gets a brief edge, then another baddie jumps him/her and numbers game beat them down, 3) face manages to drive them all out of the ring to the cheers of the fans, 4) another face jumps into help usually for some reason tied into either the face or the heel present and we reset to 2 or 3 again 4a) this starts a chain event where faces and/or heels come running down to the ring one at a time to help their side. once in a blue moon we’ll see 5) person coming in to help in 4 ends up turning on the person they came into help to start their own feud
Ken, you said it perfectly. It’s where I’m coming from and I agree with you if things kept going on like that for years. There’s a reason that Sabrina hasn’t lost and there’ll be a reason for her losing.
Trevor: jpiv is wise. It doesn’t count, but jpiv says it best.
jpiv, well done! Very thorough. I think the actual events coming fall into what you got listed. Maybe. 😉 It’ll be cool though, I promise. XD
Interesting turn of events. I was wondering when De Sade would show up. Sabrina’s going to be sore for a few weeks after all of these altercations. Doesn’t she have an event to host after this match?
Also, de Sade seems to be in a bit of trouble but I’m sure her lackeys are laying in wait somewhere to ambush Sabrina or appear out of thin air like Sadistic Ninja Wrestlers…
Kurt, right you are. Sabrina has to host the premiere opening of Club Redline. But yeah, she’s definitely going to be sore for a while. You got Chloe pegged correctly. She doesn’t do anything without a plan. It’s why when her plans don’t go accordingly that she begins to lose her cool.
This isn’t the first time Chloe has backed off or whinced from Sabrina. Knowing nothing of her past…her personality when plans go wrong makes you question true talent. Scheming and brains is obvious that is her perk. She can think of a million and one ways to win with a cheat. Yet without tricks does she have what it takes? Perhaps sometime an explore into the past.? jpiv really nailed all the possibilities. I know Sabrina can be cocky but I will say I loved her working clean this last fight. There were some high flys but really just clean holds. She’s shown a lot of growing up in this and her snapping with anger now, would just regress her progress. Oh and I’m not gonna lie, I would love to see Sun come in and the friendship heal. Who knows perhaps all upstarts…After Brookes last talk of wanting to be serious and train with Brina. Alas I’ll just have to wait. It’s always a great suprise. Alan’s good at keeping us guessing.
Vekara, you ask some good questions and I really hope to dedicate a chapter to the origin of Chloe De Sade. I think it will be revealing. Glad you liked Sabrina’s growing up in this fight. It started out from anger but then turned into something else, didn’t it? Getting along or not, the Upstarts are going to be interacting with each other next chapter. 😉
@jpiv: Thanks for the info.
