Page 352 – Club Redline
While it’s true that Sabrina and the Upstart girls are in attendance, expect to see other Rival Angels girls over the course of the evening. Expect anyone and everyone! Tyler’s (the owner) going to get everything he asked for by inviting the Rival Angels locker room and having Sabrina be the guest hostess! 😉
I don’t mind telling you that the middle panel took forever to draw. XD
UFC/WrestleMania!
Wow what a fun weekend for combat sports. I know some of you won’t see WrestleMania for a while still but I know the UFC did not have a tape delay so let me just say that GSP was absolutely brilliant and performed better than expected. I’m still of the opinion that Dan Hardy had nothing to lose and indeed, really gave a strong showing of himself. GSP/Hardy lived to the billing but Shane Carwin was an absolute beast as he captured the interim heavyweight title. What a strong fighter and his upcoming match with Brock Lesnar is going to be off the chain. Going to be a great year for MMA and UFC.
Voting Incentive!
Rose of Manga is doing sweet commissions dirt cheap. To see her version of Brooke, Vote!
I wonder if I could take the red line to get to Club Redline? Sabrina knows how to work the crowd, she yelled the city name, hehe. She needs to do the old Mick Foley, look at the camera and give a thumbs-up now.
club Redline..
Hmmm!! I remember Damage Inc.. even club Redline hasn’t been official open yet,.. they easy got it.. “Episode 295”
I wonder if Damage Inc are invited? and Hell’s Belles are invited? or maybe Hell’s Belles can gate crash the party..
Get crashers now that wouldn’t be nice. The club looks nice and all fun should be had. Do they serve Cherry Slushies? My favorite drink.
Chris, that would make sense if you could. 😉 Yeah, Sabrina’s definitely working the crowd though she’ll sneak in the cheap pop for now. XD
MGC, it’s a good bet that anyone who’s anyone is going to be at this opening. 😉
Snowy, you are right that party crashers are no fun. The bartenders, especially the guy who’s smitten with kittens can make you cherry slushies. 😉
Crank it up to eleven! Hope there’s no fighting – or at least none that the upstarts don’t finish.
LOL at the brina cheap pop Foley impersonation. though that always reminds me of think it was heel Christian back when always calling out the wrong city wherever they went. and i see Brooke wants to make sure she’s in any camera shots taken in panel 3. cue the Belles arrival in 3…2…1…
Smitten with kittens? Well, if Snow doesn’t get her slushie, he might be smitten *by* kittens! They have sharp teeth, you know. You know, as a business owner, I’d be slightly hesitant about inviting anyone named Damage, Inc. into my newly-refurbished building… But then, keeping them out might be more risky. 😉
Interesting that the Cheap Pop works so well, considering how infrequently the fed takes to the road. That’s like calling out to Orlando at a TNA show.
I don’t follow UFC, but last night’s Wrestlemania made me very happy. I predicted the winner of the Money in the Bank match correctly, my favorite wrestler won his match, and the wrestler I despise the most lost his. (see? No spoilers!)
And Shimmer is in less than two weeks. Life is good!
Woooooo CHICAGO!!!! 😀
Can’t wait to see what shenanigans happen at the hottest club in town… But, will it be the hottest club after the Rival Angels leave? Who knows…
As for the UFC match, I watched it. I was impressed with Hardy and you could see GSP was getting frustrated. I would watch another match between the two for sure. I was REALLY disappointed with Frank Mir vs Carwin. That was a turd of a match. Mir looked BORED being there, he bulked up so much that he was emulating Brock Lesnar. There was no action with Mir at all and really he was just waiting to be knocked out, I personally think that fight was rigged.
Cheap pop, wooooo! How hot can this club get? Well, that depends on how many sparks end up flying… of course it’d be nice if things went well for the girls for once, but what are the chances of that?
I didn’t get to see UFC, but I’ll try and see GSP/Hardy and I might try and catch a few other matches. I thought WrestleMania was a good show, save for the pointless Divas match and the too-short tag team championship match. Even Cena/Batista wasn’t awful. I was surprised by the Money in the Bank winner, but I’m interested to see where he goes now. To be honest, it would have been much the same with eight entrants – a couple of people did barely anything for the entire match. There were some great spots in it though. It amazes me how much fresh stuff can still be done with ladders after all these years! Match of the night, for me, was probably Edge/Jericho as I was expecting. They’re arguably the two best wrestlers in North America today and seeing them just get to let loose at full steam against each other was fantastic. Shawn/Taker was of course excellent, strong storytelling and very emotional as you’d expect – but personally, I thought their match last year was just a little better. Finally, given their involvement in the Bret/Vince match (I won’t say how or for whom), it’ll be interesting to see if the Hart Dynasty get a push.
GhostEraser, I don’t know about fighting but there’s definitely going to be some words between some of the girls and you have to know that it’s going to get catty in there. XD
jpiv, the imminent arrival of the Belles? You never can tell. XD Brooke is definitely a ham and needs to be in the spotlight and I’m glad you caught that bit.
Cookie Ogre, you could probably guess this but Snowy definitely has her ways. It’s kind of damed if you, damned if you don’t put Damage Inc on your guest list. All you can really do, at the end of the night is hope for the best. XD
Zodo, glad you enjoyed WrestleMania, it was a good card. With Sabrina in that last panel, I was borderline making her a goofball but since you know SHIMMER, they never go anywhere either, with an audience from around the country and Chicago still gets popped, especially if it’s followed by ‘Bears.’ XD Will you be at SHIMMER next month?
Hey Kurt! The Rival Angels girls are endeavoring to make this a night to remember! GSP/Hardy 2 would be awesome. How Hardy’s limbs didn’t break is beyond me. I actually stood up once in pain for the guy. I like Dan Hardy and I think he’s got a huge future. GSP showed why he’s the champ and I think Josh Koscheck is going to get bulldozed. You didn’t like Carwin/Mir? I think it was the only KO of the night. I’ve never liked Mir so I’m not really complaining that Carwin clobbered him with the lefts. Looking forward to Rashard/Rampage!
stygimoloch, you have to think that there’s definitely going to be some sparks flying not to mention me making good on a few promises of what to expect this chapter. 😉 Things could go well for the girls, though getting there might be kinda rough. If nothing else, last page was a good example of things ending well for the moment. I was surprised by the MIB winner myself so clearly he’s in line for a push. There were a lot of high spots and I think that’s why the guys on the outside could sell their pain giving the ring some room for less guys. Edge/Jericho was very good, though I was a tad disappointed that the crowd seemed kind of dead. I agree that they are two of the best workers today. Brett/Vince…it looked like Bret was having fun there, eh? I’m surprised that the Hart Dynasty hasn’t been used building up to the WM match. Taker/Shawn was solid and I enjoyed it.
Awesome – this should be fun =D
Amanda, you’re awesome. 🙂
Whoo! Go Sabrina with your bad hostess self! 😉
Yes, i will be at Shimmer, in the front row. I’ll be screaming for Daffney, and screaming louder for Ms. Chif!
I saw your flyers for this comic at a Shimmer show last year.
