Chapter: Chapter 19 - The Big Night
Characters: Brooke Lennox, Chloe De Sade, Jennifer Needles, Kat Smith, Krystin Moline, Sabrina Mancini, Sun Wong
Ultrakick! Well, at least on Jennifer. Poor Jen. All she wanted to do was heckle and distract. Maybe some threatening in there too. Okay, maybe after the alley incident, she had it coming. Kat’s not too happy though.
If my French translation is accurate, ‘Folle,’ stands for ‘insane madwoman.’
Next Update!
The match continues but you can’t win on the outside of the ring.
Voting Incentive!
It might not be fair, but we all knew it was going to be 1 on 3 between Sabrina and the Belles. Vote to get a sneak peek into Friday’s update!
OH SNAP!! NO SHE DIDN’T!! Hokey smokes, Bullwinkle!! Mo Chen still reeling from that! Is like my brain got ultra-kicked!!
LOL!
Wa!!! I know Jen was no in the fight, but she needed a shut up… and look how mad Sabby’s got Kat! That has got to throw Powergirl off her game!
EEEEEEE! You just topped off my night with awesomeness. I found Fraggle Rock earlier today got to watch it, work went smooth, and then nailed the high fly and an ultra kick, I liked to voting incentive, It’s about time chloe gets a little roughed up before her match with Sabrina. Also getting Kat all flustered…ahhh I can’t wait for Friday. Also I can’t wait for Deff Tech’s fight! Ahh now I may sleep happily. I love it when a plan comes together.
Head shot, Ultra Combo! Sabrina is still facing a 2 vs 1 situation in this match, but that kick to Jen makes sure for a little while it is not a 3 on 1 fight for a bit. This should be deja -vu for Kat, seeming she fell for the same trap earlier in the tournament during Jen’s fight.
I see that Operation: Mustache is keeping Kat off her game via Ms Needle. Nothing makes a distraction like a kick in the teeth to your opponent’s love one. Kat Smith may be the powerhouse in this match, but her focused just got K.O.ed and nothing is more dangerous than throwing around unfocused power, just begs to be countered. This will keep kat off her game for a bit and has the potential of causing a rift in the Belles if this moment becomes a factor in the stable losing, especially considering De Sade opinion of Jen.
Oh my god Sabrina is such a cheap shot artist! How dare she ultra kick Jen for no good reason! I see the real Sabrina has surfaced for all to see. and what do people do? They cheer this thuggish behavior! It was never going to be 3 on 1 Jen and chloe were just there to cheer their friend!….>,>….
Well, this will do until the action starts.
(ducks and runs)
Great move. Though with the attack on the other person it could make for a new fight as it has ticked off her opponent. Then again I’m sure she would have done something if given a chance so I’ll give it a thumbs up. Still her fellow Angels need to get down there and be ready to help out.
I remember on Gundam Seed episode 49.. in which Frey Alester’s escape pod, escape.. as they escape in the middle of the war..
then suddenly ‘Rau Le Kreuz’ fired towards it..
you might said it’s an accident or not..
(Back to Rival Angels)
I agree on ‘Powergirl’ Katherine Smith.. Jennifer Needles is not even in the match.. Jennifer is like a innocent civilian, as Sabrina struck her..
“ULTRA-CRUEL”
“ULTRA-SUCK”
Justice for Jennifer Needles and the Hell’s Belles
Justice for Jennifer Needles and the Hell’s Belles
by the way..
last panel: why is Katherine Smith blushing?
and Albone? how my commission art?
Oh boy. Brina, you’ve just made Jen’s girl VERY mad! The big question now is, is Kat going to lose focus, or is she going to redouble her efforts in trying to reduce Sabrina to a thin red smear on the canvas!? There’s also the other third of Helle’s Bells to worry about. A suicida crossbody into the announce table is nasty, but something tells me a wily veteran like Chloe, who’s surely seen her fair share of hardcore matches, won’t be wiped out by just that.
i’m with everyone else here (more or less). Use Jen to get into Kat’s head and mes with whatever plan she had for the match and ruin her focus completely. only caveat- does this turn into KAT SMASH! and Brina finds herself flying gracefully into the upper deck once Kat gets a hold of her. Brooke naturally is in on the whole plan. 🙂
looks like Brina’s got a few more things to “say” to Chloe before she gets back inside the ring.
one thing-are we getting different camera views here? panel 1 Kat’s to chloe’s left, panel 2 and 4 she’s on chloe’s right now but somehow ends up between Brina and jen (when brina was between kat and jen in panel 4) in the last panel. though on second glance in panel 4 it does look like jen’s falling back towards Kat and chloe after the impact so maybe that’s what’s confusing me.
I figured that Kat ran to Jen’s side after she dropped. But, its a good point.
I actually think.. reverse here..
Katherine Smith is being the good gal, while Sabrina is the bad gal..
Panel 4: Sabrina ‘Ultrakick’ Jennifer.. while Katherine shouted “no”
Panel 5: Katherine reason out..
usually villain hits the no treat.. more like provoke.. I do mean.. making it anger.. or just enjoys destruction..
Awesome art. You’re really into this, boss!
Awesome kick too. Off a two point stance is just wicked. The show off!
Seriously, Kat has NO room to complain. When have the Belles ever cared who was in the match and who wasn’t? Admittedly, Sabrina’s sinking to their level a bit here, but given that they would have been looking for some chance to triple-team her anyway I’d call it something like mine-sweeping with a howitzer – over-dramatic but justified and so far rather effective.
Kat’s ‘blush’, I’d say, comes from a mix of blood rushing to her face in anger and from the impact said face on the announcer’s table.
And Rau le Creuset (American spelling), as I recall, shot that pod very much on purpose, though it’s doubtful he knew or cared who was on it. He just wanted to see people die, and it was just the work of a second or two for him to vape a few more. Myself, I was cheering for Flay to get blown up, but that’s me.
I agree with Madame Champion as well. Albone-san, you’re really on a roll this chapter. Great work!
WOW!!! Cookie Ogre.. Z.A.F.T.
I agree on you.. I don’t like Flay Alester..
Rau Le Creuset shot the pod.. in purpose.. coz he’s a villain.. he shot a escape pod.. which enraged Kira Yamato (good guy)
here.. Sabrina Ultrakick Jennifer {in similarity to Rau Le Creuset shot the pod..}
Katherine Smith witness it maybe trying to protect her baby (in similarity to Kira Yamato} but fail.. now Katherine Smith enraged.. used her seed. and attack Utragirl..
same type of Villain in Gundam 00.. Ali Al Saachez..
kill a harmless reporter Kinue Crossroad..
even we disagree on their action.. they did a villainous act.. perfect villain..
in contradiction here.. Sabrina is a good girl, and did a villainous act.. thats…
Yeah, Sabrina’s pulling stuff that’s not exactly goody-goody here, but against the Belles it makes sense. If she pulls that kind of thing against anyone else, then I’ll start calling it an alignment issue. I’m not a ZAFT fan either, if I had to identify with anyone in Gundam SEED it’d be Orb/Aube, the one side that wasn’t spoiling for a fight from the start. Now, if only Kira and Athrun could have been on that shuttle with Flay…
LOL Dyna! I’m glad Sabrina was able to surprise you. She’s got a gameplan and she’s executing it to the letter with the intent of throwing the Belles, including Kat, off of her game.
Vekara, I’m happy that this was able to compliment a good evening for you. 😀 You can bet that Chloe had no idea that Sabrina was going to take the fight to her and Jen and you just know that Krystin is rubbing her hands happily at ‘the plan coming together.’
jabberwocky, the plan is to even the odds a little bit and so far so good. Good memory with remembering that Kat was on the receiving end last time during Jen’s match. These vets just aren’t showing Sabrina any respect! XD Operation: Mustache is under way and if Krystin and Sun helped Sabrina with this plan, just what happens next?
LOL BBD. Yes, Jen got caught in the crossfire and it’s definitely affecting Kat. And just what are the people thinking? 😉
LOL Darkmark! What match are you looking forward to the most on this PPV?
Snowy, it’s definitely sound advice for Sabrina to have her backup at ringside, but she’s been kind of stubborn about that in the past with the whole ‘want to do it on her own.’ Personally, I’d have the Upstarts and Damage Inc at ringside if I could swing it.
MGC, I think we both know that Jen is anything but ‘innocent.’ Plus, who’s more wrong here, Sabrina for taking advantage of Jen, or Jen for not paying attention? Who do you think Chloe is going to blame? Kat is red in the face because she is very, very angry at Sabrina. In Kat’s mind, Sabrina has no right to be doing this well, much less standing on two feet. Your commission just needs some color. 😉 That would be something if Sabrina were the bad guy here, but I think we know better. If nothing else, Paul E. Dangerously said that the face should get their heat back and retaliate against the heels after they’ve been laid out, i.e. the alley beating. Still, while we know Sabrina is a good girl, I’ve been very careful never to put those words in her own mouth. She fights good, but she’s never claimed that she is. And wouldn’t that be something if Sabrina did go heel only to keep getting cheered ala Randy Orton?
Stygimoloch, it’s true that Sabrina is playing with fire by making Kat even madder! Great points. Chloe is definitely not out of this and in fact, she’s still got her focus. But Kat, yeah, she’s very much distracted. How much so, will remain to be seen.
jpiv, would you be surprised to know that Krystin and Sun helped Sabrina with this little offensive strategy? It’s true that this could be, ‘madder Kat get, STRONGER Kat get.’ In that case, what would Krystin prescribe? I think Sabrina and Chloe are going to have unfinished business until the cage match and maybe even past that. Sorry for the confusion with the last panel. It was meant to imply that Kat rushed past Sabrina to check on Jen.
LOL Champ, and thanks! 😀
Thanks Cookie Ogre. I think you’re being reasonable with Kat’s outrage. I know a lot of readers are okay with ‘fighting fire with fire.’ There’s only so much fighting fair with you’re the only one doing it. Thanks for the anime clarification, I have to say I hadn’t seen it before. And yeah, Kat is one very mad Belle right now. 😉
This panel is SO awesome! lol
ah ok that explains it then. and also puts Brina right in between kat and chloe then hmmm.
though with the way brina’s plan is coming together (Yvonne would be so proud and is no doubt starting her newest recruitment ploy) i’m thinking Brina expects to get jumped from behind, gets out of the way and chloe gets whacked again, this time by Kat to further throw her off her game.
Hmmm, here comes a plot twist (I think) that only Albone can foresee…
Why would Chloe yell wait? To Kat, to keep her from losing focus or rushing Sabrina one-on-one instead of two-on-one? Or to Sabrina, to keep her from hitting Jen again? Is something wrong with Jen that has Kat worried? And why is Kat blushing? Because she fell in front of Jeff and now feels foolish?
Or it’s just BS to throw us readers off…
By the way, if Jen doesn’t want to be in the match, she needs to get out of the line of fire!
Ultra kick!
I’m thinking this is a strategy that the girls cooked up backstage, to throw the Belles off their game. She’s knocked out the heckler, and gotten her opponent angry, and when you’re angry, you make mistakes. Match isn’t over, but with Sabrina’s skill and the ‘Definition of Technician’ making the strategy, that’s a nasty combo, especially since the Belles realize that Sabrina isn’t going to be the good girl this time.
Trishelle, a lot of people liked it, glad you did too. 🙂
jpiv, that is some shred thinking there. You might have been in on the planning session. XD Yeah, this match has gone way beyond a sporting one-on-one contest. You can bet that Yvonne is watching this match.
GhostEraser, that is a good catch, what with Chloe yelling for Kat to wait. Maybe it’s something along the lines that a predator can sense what another predator is thinking. Of course, there’s no real thought process to Kat other than checking on her girlfriend. Kat’s cheeks are red from the hot-fury raging insider her for Ms Ultragirl. I think we might have to come around to Chloe’s warning. Or not. XD Sound advice for Jen too, going forward.
MIB, can an Ultrasplash be far behind??
Hey Mirikon! Definitely some strategy that the Upstart girls (maybe minus Brooke) thought up of and so far, it seems like its going smoothly. It could be in part too, that the Belles underestimated the rookie and that she would take the fight to *them*. Chloe realizes that Sabrina left the good-girl bit in the back but can Kat keep focus to adjust their own plan?
It was pretty clear that this was going to be a three on one situation, so why not take it to them rather than waiting for it to be on the Belles’ terms? I take it this strategy is supposed to piss off Kat that her girlfriend got hit, so she’ll do something stupid and not wrestle smart? Could backfire. I’m also wondering who gets the title if there’s a DQ. Neither one has the belt, right? So it’s not like a “champ retains” kind of situation.
I loved that last panel
Kat really has some audacity to get mad after she and her friends attacked Sabrina in an alley when a party’s going on! But how dare Sabrina attack Jen when she’s at ringside? Psssh!
It’s so great to see them working together…here is my thought…when you get a powerhouse angry and flustered it’s very easy to use their power against them. Krysten knows all about this. As much at it was great to see the high fly, I’m ready for some technical moves. Which will happen after a little heel for Chloe. It needs to be a knock one, Jen, Knock two I’m guessing to be with Kat and her anger, a three to chloe. In the ring for a solid lock. 1-2-3 match over. Yet, nothing ever seems to be that easy with the Belles around…and they were talking about recruits…you can’t think they wouldn’t have done that again and have some unforseen suprise players in the wings…and would Krysten have thought of that? Can’t wait till Friday. I feel we’re going to be left with quite the cliff hanger on Friday to suffer through the weekend.
wow sabrina taking no prisoners i m liking it every one gets a turn chloe is like what the hell just happend and kat is showing one of hre weaknesses, but i fear all she has done was awaken the sleeping giant that is kat then again if sabrina is smart and has listened to my previous comments and stratigums she’ll know what to do use kats anger and rage agasint herself and make her tire herself out and go for the win while she is exhuasted
Ken, that is a good question you bring up about a DQ situation, but I can tell you that Referee Sharon is on the job because she’s a good ref that can make sure we have a winner. Hopefully. I mean, a countout here would stink, wouldn’t it? You got the general idea about the Operation: Mustache plan. XD
Thanks Patric!
That’s a great point, Trishelle, but it doesn’t seem to lessen Kat’s outrage any. I guess Kat doesn’t think payback is fair. 😛
Vekara, it seems you know a thing or two about Def Tech, Krystin Moline. XD You got a great feel for the situation. The best laid plans have to be fluid when dealing with the Belles because they’re so tricky. They never stop trying to get one-up on you by any means necessary, as we’ve seen. Sometimes, you have to fight fire with fire. Friday should be fun. 😉
Comichero, she’s playing to win! And it seems that Sabrina is willing to put in the work to get it done. It’s true that she runs the risk of dealing with something she can’t handle, an angry Kat, but it can’t be too different than dealing with a 3 on 1 situation either. Expect Sabrina to try an utilize the comichero plan of attack. XD
Well, that takes out one of the three stooges. Eventually this match is going to have to get back into the ring and let’s get it on again. But, hey, take out all the non-essentials for a more fair fight.
I agree with the boss. Have her turn heel, ala Randy Orton! I know I’d keep cheering (in fact… I’d START cheering her. 😉 )
Actually, Albone, I’m looking forward most to Sabrina’s second match. But I’m also going to enjoy Sun’s match, too!
Kurt, part of Sabrina’s plan is to confuse the opposition. Taking out Jen is almost two birds with one stone. it’s kind of a shame that Sabrina has to deal with taking care of people not in the match, but it definitely makes for higher drama. XD
LOL Ashley!
Ah yes, Darkmark, that match should be a doozy, provided nothing interferes with it coming off. Man, the Sun/Xtina match is going to be fun. XD
ComicHero: stratigist of the Angels ooooo sounds like an awesome job while since im getting manuvers and plans name after me i thought i should get a lofty title to match but i fore see sabrina using my plan of attack and making ither own by using kats attacks to harm the other members of ther belles and i do belive that enraging the big kat is a worth while risk and stand behind sabrina 110 percent so much so if i were able to and her stratgium failed i would take any number of blows for her, or maybe that just my heroic nature shining through helping a damsel in distress and all, im not quite sure really
Like not being in the match has ever stopped the Hell’s Belles from participating as a group…. 😉
Kick her face some more, Sabrina!
