Chapter: Chapter 19 - The Big Night
Characters: Chloe De Sade, Sabrina Mancini
Here it is! The culmination of…oh. It might not be quite finished. One final swerve?
Voting Incentive!
Oh snap! A voting incentive that DOESN’T include Sabrina or De Sade? Maybe a preview including a certain, possibly temporary marriage engagement? Vote to find out what’s coming up on Monday!
Very, very good, Sabrina! I approve. Now, as soon as Chloe gets herself looked over by the medics, it’s your turn! What were you thinking?!
I think she was thinking, “Revenge!”
Yay! Great finish to the main event. And honestly, its a great question by Sabrina. If Chloe is dumb enough to say it isn’t over between them its the perfect time for Sabrina TO end it. For Chloe’s sake, she best answer correctly.
What are the chances of Chloe saying that the feud’s still on just after repeatedly saying “I quit” in order to spare herself further beating? Not great. Sabrina’s twisting the knife a little bit here, sealing the deal, but there can only be one answer. I mean, really. Look at Chloe’s expression in panel 3. She’s horrified at what she brought on herself.
Well if Chloe can take the pain replying back, “It isn’t over.” Would make her the hero and Sabrina the villain if Sabrina did anything.
What do you say to somebody who has your blood on their hands?
Doc, that dose of anesthetic was too low?
I got a horrible condition that is spread by bodly fluids like blood, you might want to see a doctor.
I doubt that Chloe is going to be all huggy-huggy with Sabrina. But, it was a good match 🙂 What the heck else do you have in store for us Al? Dare I ask?
How about a day at the spa with the Catgirls?
cat girls in a two=piece…I like.
Doubt she’ll get an answer.
With the why Chloe’s mouth looks the proper answer if any is, “Th-ank alk o eettthh….”
BTW, voted and saw the OLD incentive! 😉
Copy Cat
Behind every great heroine is a great villainess. I think we’ll see a new foil developed. But who?
Now… about that party!
Chloe’s got her next match lined up from what I understand. It is a mixed matched. Her against the Dentist!
Good question, jie jie. Sabby has made respectful rival in Loretta and now she’s vanquished Chloe. Could her old rival Danielle from development come knocking? Or maybe someone new (Like Ashley Anaconda? *giggles*) steps out to give her issues.
After all, the only one standing in her way, hun – is you. And you don’ come across as the heel type. Unless Gabby hires Bitsy back…
I love the look on Chloe’s face in panel three. It clearly says “Oh God no, let it be over.” Or perhaps just “Oh, S**t.” 🙂
BTW, I am in the crowd cheering myself hoarse right now.
Pats your horse and gives it a sugar cube.
*Stands in the locker-room area, leaning against a wall, arms folded across his chest, eyes closed and smiling contently.* I knew she’d do it. *Someone nearby mentions a party and he snaps out of it.* Huh, what? Victory party? Totally there. I hope there’s cake.
Also, when you go to leave a cage, especially after you lost, and your opponent calls you back, your blood dripping off their fists, and asks you if it’s over, you do not say it’s not over. If Chloe has a brain in her skull, she’ll say it’s over. I mean, as far as Gabrielle is concerned, assuming she hasn’t changed her mind already, it is, but we go back to what I said about people holding grudges.
And there’s one last thing. A song for Chloe. Sort of a parting shot, if you will, but no less deserved, considering the reputation she has. http://youtu.be/uXnFhnpEgKY
Weird song you found there.
SABRINA “ULTRAGIRL” MANCINI vs. CHLOE DE SADE IN AN I QUIT CAGE MATCH: ***1/2.
Things I learned from this match:
*Sabrina Mancini cannot wrestle. At all.
*After XX years, Chloe de Sade has the ability of a low-class fetish wrestler with the pay of a high-class dominatrix.
*I’m pretty sure the main event of a match is supposed to leave you at the edge of your seat, not out of your seat rolling in laughter.
*The reason why Sabrina can win with a broken arm in only two weeks while a normal human needs 6-8 weeks before rehab: IDDQD.
*Sabrina Mancini cannot sell. At all.
*When you have two wrestlers of such limited skill and ability, a garbage match is the only way to hide their weaknesses. Just don’t overdo it or people will notice.
*9-2
*Sabrina can’t wrestle because she’s a noob who was brought up too soon and given the world on a platter. So that means when Chloe was a noob, she had the same skill as Kelly Kelly?
*Something’s missing…oh yeah! Silly Tsungirls, title shots are for serious tag teams!
Overall rating at the jump.
That is why Albone should have been concentrating on the Catgirls. Speaking of which…Brend you need to clean out the litter box.
I agree on Snowkitten Albone..
CATGIRLS WEBCOMICS… COME ON!!
BY GOD!! JSN
nice..
GREAT!!
One problem… the boosting of Chloe De Sade of the story.. is poorly…
Oh, look, JSN is talking again. Whee. With opinions like those of the action in the comic, I have to wonder why JSN even reads it.
JSN is talking ? Why ?
It’s amazing how different people can see completely different things from the same pages. Most of us see a great publication with great characters.
N00bs see not hing but N00bs – as usual
Great job – keep it up!
And JSN – Dragonball Z is back on the air – go and enjoy
Great match and great end. Love Brina <3<3
It was violent and cool 😀
Im wonder what gonna happen to Chloe and the Bells.
The after show party will be awesome 😛
Will Albone show us what happened back stage?
I hope so 😛
Brw, wanna meet me backstage kitty?? 😛 😀
The Belles may get broken up entirely. It may be what’s going to happen in the locker room. They crossed the line badly and the other two were involved. There’s going to be hell to pay there and there’s no Chloe to lead them either. So the other two may fight for dominance between themselves and it just won’t work out. But, that’s only a possibility.
Also, as said above, the look on Chloe’s face on panel 3? Priceless. Like Mastercard priceless. That look of terror like “Oh no, she wants more!” is great. Chloe finally realized how much she bit off and suddenly realized that she can’t chew it, especially with those two extra mouths to help out. Sabrina takes the victory and takes the time to make sure it’s over. It may even be that Sabrina shakes her hand, though I doubt it.
I doubt that Sabrina will be shaking hands. I’m behind Brenda according the story plot so far and you have to have might long arms to reach around her.
Do the right thing, DeSade. She’s clearly a psychopath.
But not as nearly psycho as Psycho Kitty!
JSN that was the lamest post I have ever seen. Sabrina has proven time and time again that she has real talent. Cloe has gotten by on cheating and cheap tricks for her entire career, as well as relying on other patsies so she never developed her own skills. I’ve said that from the very start, your just bitter because for some unknown and unknowable reason you support the worthless french slut. Sabrina showed she has A great stamina B is willing to take huge risks for huge rewards, and C can really fire up the fans. She’s a high flyer and she has those skills she’s not a ground wrestler and frankly the high flying moves are more amusing to watch.
I still think Chloe would have won if she hadn’t lost.
Obviously.
Where did the blood suddenly come from on Sabrina’s arm? It wasn’t there in the first panel?
Thinking that it was on her fist all along, but in the first panel her left hand is held up high, and its on the knuckles side anyway while she’s showing the people her palm.
one word for Michael..
nahhh!!
let them sing what I meant:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QL15Ya5fsgo
hahahaha!!
I don’t know what happen but…
who beat who? Brooke beat Maddie?
No matter what Chloe says, she’s done. Kat and Jen are gone. Gabby’s still going to fire her. The hometown folks are hating on her. She might want to take JSN’s suggestion and move in fetish tapes or Dom work…
And the VI is obvious but the panels leading up were either misleading or miscalculated. Maddie sees them in the act and does nothing. Brooke goes to ladies room and nothing happens. Brooke shows up in the locker room to watch Sabby’s match and nothing happens. Maddie stays gone for the entire time. And now she re-appears to ream Michael out. So, Brooke and her didn’t have a ‘talk’? Or, is that still to happen?
Mo Chen being mean!!
Mo Chen only speak truth. Chloe burned ALL her bridges. No woman is an island, but she looking like a penisula to me.
Mo-Chen being accurate. Chloe has no career left, since she probably can’t support her lifestyle on just your offerings, MGC. 😉
I give everything to Chloe De Sade.. I love Chloe De Sade.. she’s my queen.. as I’m her knight slave
Knights aren’t slaves. If you’re a slave, providing for ruined, penniless royalty, you’re sure not a knight!
So… Does Rival Angels have good dental plans?
I’m exhausted! All that cheering!
But one more YAAAAAAAAAAY ‘BRINA! for tonight, at least until she comes back stage, then she can have one in person.
And a hug!
I need a vacation after this!
…
I`m sure I can find energy for a Party!
Chloe, say it’s over, for your sake. You just got yourself beaten to a bloody pulp and I feel that we may have only scratched the surface of Sabrina’s darker side. Trust me, I doubt you want to be the one who brings it out even more.
DragonMan, I think she’s hoping too that Chloe ends this for good. I don’t know that either of them have anything left to give.
RAWF, she’s putting Chloe on the spot, so to speak. Chloe is a heel, so she could easily lie either way. But next update, we’ll get an answer I think we can believe.
Snowy, I’ve never seen Chloe as the ‘hero’ type and I don’t think she has either. Backstage stuff? I think we can see a bit of that. 😉 Sabrina’s hand is raised in the first panel, but in that panel, her other hand is red from the pounding.
Coel, we’re going to find out on Monday! XD
Kurt, I think I have one more Ace to play before the end Season 1. 😉
Darkmark, sometime’s that’s the answer! 😛 This voting incentive should’ve kicked in at 1am CT.
Party time, Champ! And great question on who’s going to challenge Sabrina and the Upstarts next. Maybe we’ll get a preview before the end of Season 1?
Alurker, we’re going to have to get you something for that hoarse throat!
Tarrasque, I agree with you on what you should not say in that position and we’ll see what Chloe has to say on Monday. That after-party is going to be off the hook!
Thanks for the rating, JSN.
Svan, I’m glad you enjoyed the match! As for the Belles, I won’t leave you hanging until next season. 😉
Alex, anything is possible, even good sportsmanship from Chloe. As for the Belles, we’ll discover their fate soon enough. Glad you liked the page and update!
Chris, there’s a first for everyone. SHIMMER this weekend!
Tiffany, Sabrina is glad that you’re on her side. XD
LOL MGC. I know you’re waiting for the Maddie and Brooke to throw down. Still to come?
Dyna, I dare say Chloe has hit absolute rock bottom. The upside there is that she can’f tall any more. As for the VI, you know I love being all misdirectiony with those. 😛 As for who might be in store for Sabrina as a foil, come to Mid-Ohio Con and ask Lora. 😉
LordJerle, the best, on par with the NHL. lol
GoldenGirl, you haveta make the after-party. Everyone’s going to be there. XD
Donny, I don’t think anyone wants to see Sabrina go any darker…!
Sabrina’s eyes say she’s still got some fight left in her. Chloe looks like she wants to curl up in a corner to hide and cry for about a year. Chloe will give Sabrina anything she wants about now, and if she doesn’t declare the feud over, I think Sabrina would be more than capable of a few well-deserved parting shots. I think it’s a bit unnecessary, considering how traumatized Chloe is already, but driving the point home a little more can’t hurt… Sabrina. 😀
Can’t wait to see what’s next for everyone. Sabrina and the other Upstart girls, primarily, but also the troubled romance, the Belles, the Catgirls, everybody! You write great characters and engaging plots.
Even if she says “yes,” she really means “no.” Just like most girls.
Like when you ask the question, “Would you like to go see The Expendables with me?” They might say yes…but inside, they’re screaming “NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
Yeah Albone this is quite interesting, can’t wait to see the Brooke Maddie blow up as well as what happens to Kat and Jen, and still want to see De Sades face when she gets fired.
HEAVEN AND HELL: ***.
Only three stars?
This was supposed to be the Wrestlemania of Rival Angels. The be-all end-all of PPVs. Everything was supposed to be settled here. On paper, it fits the description. When put into action, well…
What did you REALLY think of Mancini/De Sade?
It wasn’t main event at Wrestlemania good, it was main event at an ordinary PPV good. Of course, knowing what happened before, it was obvious Sabrina was going to win. It’s not the time to take away that big push just yet. As long as Sabrina can make the crowd jump, they just might make a profit off of her.
Now you must realize just how great of a wrestler Sabrina Mancini is.
Entertainer. You mean entertainer. She’s a brawler with weak punches who can do flippies. Sabrina showed me little wrestling ability when she couldn’t use her vast wrestling knowledge to get out of a simple leg scissors. But now that she’s on her way to becoming a main eventer, the rest of the roster has to dumb it down so they won’t make Sabrina look bad. If Gabrielle Reni was confident of Sabrina’s ability, why put her in a garbage match?
Is there ANYTHING good you saw out of Sabrina from that match?
She showed me she has the potential to be a heel. Now her character won’t get stale in the future. She’s improving, but she has a long way to go to catch up to Sun.
How is Sun in any way better than Sabrina?
Put on the match of the night without the need for extra stipulations, has reasons to be a high-flyer, can switch from face to heel in no time and without missing a beat. Once she gets bigger than Damage Inc., Yvonne will send the signal and the Ultradragon/Damage Inc. rivalry will be on, which will then lead to Sun/Sabrina.
Any other wrestlers to look out for in the future?
Damage Inc, the Towers of Terror, Kat Smith, Eva Carpenter.
What about Brenda Rua?
She has a concussion and there is a real possibility that her title will be taken away from her even if she does recover, so say hello to your new champion, Yvonne Carmichael. The Brenda Rua experiment is over and all she managed to push are hot dogs and nachos. She’s just a better fit in the TV title chase anyway. She just wasn’t ready yet.
What about the other Upstarts?
Krystin is searching for her character in Rival Angels. She may have got closer after this PPV, but it will take a while for her to find her way. However, she does have the talent to be a good hand. Not good if you are dreaming of bigger things.
Brooke already has a character, but that’s because she slept with a higher-up to get it. What happens then when the reason for your marked improvement disappears?
What about the Catgirls?
Who?
You know, Rose Ryoko and Snowkitten?
…
*sigh* Anko Uehara and Naru Narusegawa.
Oh yeah! The Sake Bomb Angels? They’re done. Turns out Brenda’s the one who got them all of those favors thanks to being friends with the boss. Now that they screwed the pooch, they’ll never get another shot at the big time again.
JPIV you are soo wrong. Brina showed more talent than most wrestlers not every fighter needs a ground game. Your just bitter because for some reason u support de sade who lost. I dont understand that at alll really. If you hate so many of the characters why do you read this
um i didn’t make any comments for this update so how can i be wrong? also i didn’t support Chloe either.
Pretty sure Tiffany is talking about JSN. Sequences of letters get so confusing.
An alternate opinion:
Heaven and Hell: ****1/2
Four and a half? Really?
There were a lot of great matches, and a couple that were good, but not exceptional. If you don’t keep the excitement going beginning to end, you don’t get five stars. I don’t believe in the rise-and-fall rhythm to any kind of event. I’m an “all rise, all the time” kind of guy. But the high points really were fantastic.
What did you think of the opener, and the crowning of Miss Rival Angels?
Brooke does more self-proclaiming than a certain “broski” from another organization. She’s a goddess, and now a beauty queen? She wins a match for a change, a David and Goliath style match where she’s easily the bigger and stronger, and finally manages to get one over on Monica Rumble, and she’s making up titles for herself? It’s great that she’s finally wrestling, but she needs to stop worrying so much about her image and focus on fighting well enough to be taken seriously.
Def Tech against Sara Valentine. What’s your take?
One of my favorite matches of the night. A great combination of technical wrestling and down-and-dirty brawling. That spear out of nowhere really surprised me. Krystin’s got guts to go with those moves. And then she wraps it up with a display of sportsmanship, after such an intensely bitter personal display. Just incredible.
What about the tag team championship match?
The Catgirls fought a brilliant technical game, with some very creative teamwork, but were just physically overpowered by Black and Blue. The size difference was too much for them this time. It was a great showing, though. Not sure why some fans have a hard time taking them seriously. Is it the outfit? Could be the outfit. Their pink-and-white getup makes me think of a junior novice gymnastics class.
The Xtina Carpenter vs Sun Wong match was a huge upset. What’s your take on it?
Sun used every dirty trick in the book to come away with the win. I like Sun, but I’d like to see her step up her game and win a match against a serious opponent like Xtina without having to get the ref distracted.
What about the championship match between Brenda Rua and Black Widow?
That was a spectacular match. Both women are fantastic athletes. It’s a shame Widow didn’t know when to stop, and now she’s no longer a part of the organization. Self-control issues aside, she’s a great competitor, and really pushed Brenda hard. Watching the champ overcome all that punishment, lift that big woman onto her shoulder, and slam her to the mat? I was on my feet, screaming my head off. Just amazing. The attack on the champ really shocked me, but she seems to be up and walking around. I hear whispers about being injured and having to give up the belt, but I expect her to be ready to defend it again in two weeks. Brenda’s tough as they come.
Finally, Sabrina Mancini. Two matches tonight, highly anticipated, tons of pressure. What did you take away from them?
First, Sabrina showed a lot of heart even showing up. She had plenty of medical reason to fight tonight, after the brutal attack on her in an alley by Hell’s Belles, and again by fighting a second match after losing the TV Championship, and being attacked again by the Belles.
Second, we saw two different Sabrinas tonight.
In her first match, against Kat Smith for the TV title, Sabrina fought brilliantly. This was the Ultragirl we all know and love. Unfortunately, the combination of injuries and a three-on-one match took their toll, and she was defeated. Kat Smith is an amazing wrestler, but she would not have won that match one-on-one against a healthy Sabrina.
In her second match, we saw Ultragirl cut loose. Not much wrestling skill, just amazing strength, toughness, willpower, and daring. Chloe seemed confused. She brought weapons, as if she thought it was going to be a brawl, but when Sabrina took them away, she reverted to technical wrestling and couldn’t handle this new Sabrina’s direct, aggressive beatdown.
Chloe’s technique was odd, too. Her motto for the night seemed to be “the best offense is a mediocre defense.” The body scissors was the foundation of nearly every move, and she seldom controlled Sabrina’s upper body. If Sabrina hadn’t been attacked repeatedly and been on her second match of the night, I don’t think the night’s final match would have been as long and exciting as it was. As it turned out, though, it was a very satisfying conclusion to the feud between the two women.
Sabrina made a handful of rookie mistakes tonight, bad decisions here and there, but overall her performance was amazing.
All in all, Heaven and Hell was a great event with few lulls in the excitement, worth every penny the viewers paid for it.
Wow, that turned out long. Erk!
Hey, I just thought of something. What if Chloe doesn’t get to answer? What if Gabby answers for her?
“It’s finished. Chloe, you’re fired.”
HA !! yes i love the look of utter panic on De sades face
My favourite Rival Angel fighter, finally won, shame about TV Championship match, it would be great if she did won that match. Don’t know how long before she get the World Title shot.
I am really pleased I saw this – thank you.
