New Prologue Page #7

Coach is dropping wisdom that Sabrina will carry on to this day and beyond.
Cameo!
Coach is based off of none other than the writer himself, Peter Vine!
Notes from the Author
Speaking of Pete, here’s his thoughts on this page:
What coach is referring to here is the infamous “99 call” during the 1974 British Lions tour to South Africa. The Lions are what we in Rugby would call a “touring side” selected from the very best of the four nations of the British Isles (England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales) can offer. They usually tour one of the big three rugby nations in the Southern Hemisphere: Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. They’re famous for wild rugby and wildly varying scores sometimes winning by miles and other times getting pounded but they have a huge following in the UK & Ireland.
South Africa (nickname: “the Springboks”) are well known for being a brutal and highly physical side. Their forwards are big and having a broken nose is usually a pre-requisite for donning the Springbok jersey so naturally they have the physicality of a linebacker and the brutal fighting capability of the very best enforcer an NHL team can provide. So it came as no surprise that in the warm up games during their tour the Lions found themselves being attacked and subjected to random cheap shots of the nature John Cena usually gets in the run up to any Wrestlemania main event 😉
The captain of the Lions side was Willie John McBride, a fine Ulsterman who was inspirational for Ireland in the 1970s and had no time for such “blatant thuggery” and thus over a cigar and a beer came up with a plan to meet fire with fire. He named a call – “99” – and if he called that during a match everyone was to down tools and start fighting. The philosophy was that faced with the prospect of all 15 Lions players fighting he couldn’t send any of them off.
In the event it led to the now famous ‘ battle of Boet Erasmus’ which set the scene for the Lions glorious 1974 series win which has since passed into legend.

Awesome life lesson to teach coach , and al thankyou for the belated well wishes means alot parnter
Having friends who have your back is good. Choose wisely.
Word.
That’s why we do sports. Life’s lessons. Well that, and joy of victory. WooHOOO
But in school you should never have losers it hurts their self-esteem.
Snowy, losing never hurts if you have caring people around you.
I think it comes around to what Brenda said about life lessons. You can’t win them all and not a bad lesson to learn.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! What a joke of an advice that has been so far. already 2/3 of her friends have stabbed her in the back or used her in RA. And lets not forget about her trainer as well. Look where it has landed Sabrina. In trouble, all her recklesness has landed her in is trouble. She has not shown much professionalism and needs to go by another lesson.
Real friends have your back.
Pretend friends watch out for their best interest.
She needs to learn who is who.
Friends can’t be perfect, but I don’t think anyone would question Sun’s ability to have Sabrina’s back. As for the rest, I don’t know that they’re really even teammates.
And that’s how you find out who you’re friends are!
…
But…I feel this is important…
Victory?
As you know, Sabrina places high priority on victory. XD
If any other commenters want to see some of the best rugby you’ll ever clap eyes on, search youtube for “Australian State of Origin” – It’s a yearly three(sometimes four) game competition between Queensland and New South Wales. It rarely fails to impress, even for people who are not rugby fans.
Whoo hoo a palce to watch Rugby. Anyone want to fly me out to Australia?
Can’t do it myself, but you could fly out in the off peak season for about 6-700 hundred bucks, to the best of my knowledge. And unless you’re from a California, our winter isn’t that far off your summer.
Two of the games happen around the winter, too – For example, last series was May, June, July – so you can even catch the Origin. Be sure to bring your Maroons supporter gear.
And hey, I’ll tour-guide you around during the rest of the time, if you head up to Brisbane.
Definitely checking it out. How can anyone not like rugby anyways?
Hell if I know. If I find anywhere for the next series that you can stream it, I’ll let you know.
Awesome. and thanks!!!
Got problems with senseless violence? Resolve them with more, better senseless violence! My kind of story!
Good advice. Not terribly professional as a teacher, but very wise.
All good teachers give great advice and bad advice every so often.
You can see how this sort of advice would resonate with Sabrina. She places high marks on competition and friendship.
Though I wonder, is he telling Sabrina to organize the team she is on into a lean mean fighting machine?
And since 99 is takeen will she call a 69?
Hmmm…what is Sabrina calls a 99 in Rival Angels? As for the other call, maybe? 😛
And who said you couldn’t learn life lessons from Rugby. Don’t hold it against me if I start yelling 99 and beating up the nearest person I see. I can just say I read it in the Comics, get some national exposure ;D
Kurt, I’m all for it. lol
For those interested in more on the 99 call I found a link that tells a little bit of the story. there is even a video it being used:

Hey Wokinshadoze! Great link and highly enjoyable.
BBD it’s not her fault Brooke has no morals what so ever. IT is a good trait to stick up for your friends, and in wrestling being reckless wins matches. Victory goes to the bold as they say so your full of crap as per usual.
Good point about Brooke. XD Yeah, this is more to show why Sabrina is how she is, rather if she’ll be changing her views on daring moves and friends. Glad you got it. 😉
You mean there’s a plan behind beating on John Cena besides “he’s an annoying prat, get him”?
*looks at Cookie Ogre awkwardly*
*looks around*
99! 99! 99!!!!
*Lays into Cookie Ogre*
LMAO
::fends Prestwick off with his sharpened spatulas:: I don’t watch Raw, but everything I’ve seen of Cena tells me I should be glad I don’t. 😉
Good little inclusion of history in this page, buddy.
Thanks, man!
And to this day, no one has gotten away with putting their hands on any of Sabrina’s friends
She IS pretty fierce when it comes to her friends, especially Sun.
I’m sort of curious how much butt Sabrina would tear through if her Brunette buddy ended up getting “Brian O’Driscolled”
Funny how none of her friends or in this case friend has ever had her back thus far. She got jumped in the alley, friends nowhere in sight. A brawl at the wedding going on for a decent amount of time. No friend(s) in sight. My how her “friendships” have done her good.
And being reckless in a match is for the truly stupid. Its asking to shorten your career and possibly cripple you for life. Don’t be that stupid, Sabrina you have time to actually develop some sort of ring skill besides throwing your body all over the place and brawling.
I’m getting the nagging feeling that you don’t like what Albone is doing with HIS CHARACTERS.
BBD SHE HAS RING SKILL we’ve seen it in multiple matches what are you blind? Recklessness in the ring brings in fans fans bring in money money is good what about this do you not get? You have to be a little bold or no one will want to watch you. Also sun’s backed her up several times.
Tiffany, Do Not Feed the Troll.
I know I shouldn’t but BBD is so incompetent with his commentary that its its like listening to rush limbough only some how even dumber
