Sun must be employed in BRA first… right?
so.. SUn is a very temporary bodyguard of Sabrina.. why not a whole month? a week, and BRA don’t show everyday.. and it only show everyweek, like Rivalangels’ every monday
Sun is investigating something,
And the question is what is she investigating followed up by who does she get to beat up?
We were talking about wrestlers getting “day passes” a couple weeks ago, so Sun’s apperance was probably just that, an apperance. Sun is also a big draw and Carmichaels can probably pull a heck of a string.
Hmmm, what could Sun be investigating?
As for why she doesn’t stay longer, she has her own PPV match coming up. However, Sun will stick around for one more BRA airing.
Yep, Sun’s jellin’. That’s a pointed question if ever I heard one. 🙂

I don’t think Sun is jealous, I consider more let vetting since Sabrina is not very good at it.
Sabrina is a good peacemaker but is this a challenge too great for her?

I once again feel like I missed something. Nevertheless, this is developing a serious Xena and Gabrielle vibe.
Yikes, I hope it’s only because of the slow pacing. If it helps, the end of chapter 5 has Sun making the trans-pacific save and now they’re going out. The in-between is how/why Sun is in Japan.
Heh. No, I meant because it’s ALMOST like a lover’s spat with Sun a little jealous of Sabrina’s other friend. Maybe I’ve been reading too many Penthouse Letters columns, but I keep waiting for these two to develop a “special” friendship.
LOL! There’s definitely jealously there but it is going to get a bit deeper than that as we go into the chapter.
I don’t mean this as a criticism as much as I do an explanation. I know there’s been some talk now and then about people shipping Sun and ‘Brina or insinuating that they’re more than just friends, and I know that some people have said they don’t see it or wish that people would stop talking about it since they’re clearly just friends.
Now just to make this clear, I get that they aren’t romantically involved, and every time I’ve said something like “OMG, Yoshi’s going to bed with Sabrina, Sun is going to be SO jealous!” I’ve been joking.
That being said, ‘Brina/Sun shippers have got no shortage of ammunition, and there’s plenty in today’s strip. Maybe this is just because I’m a guy and it’s different for men than it is for women, but I can’t imagine saying something like “This is awesome, I get you for a whole week!” to another man unless I was interested in having sex with him. Come to think of it, I can’t imagine saying that to a woman unless I was involved with her, either.
On another subject, the Rival Angels TV Tropes page could use some updating, for any other tropers here. Not that I’m too lazy to edit it myself or anything, but it’ll probably get brought up to date faster if more than one person is working on it, and it’s possible I’ll forget to add something that somebody else will remember.
Sun’s private life is in shambles now..which I imagine for her is unaccetable.. shes a top worker in the ring.. that will give anyone swag, but it also can confuse people who are used to being the best in EVERYTHING. I can’t imagine Sun has/wants many friends and girls like Sabrina are so endearing and infectious you can’t help feel a little jealous when they find someone who might take your place..for no more reason than distance and proximity. This again would wrankle a perfectionist like Sun badly, plus I’ve personally known girls who gave up on men just simply cause they assume a relationship with a woman maybe easier, and its not a secret Sun is very protective of Sabrina, Sun is a guarded closed book, which Sabrina cracked.. Sun wouldn’t give that up without a fight, esp since she knows Sabrina has a target on her back. It might not be romantic for Sun, but ita wayyyyyy more than a friendship. Sabrina strikes me as the kind of girl who’d get into anu relationship as long as she felt there was love there, Sabrina always struck me as a no definitions kinda gal. For Cocoa I think Sabrina is just business a test to get her to the big leagues, Sabrina’s personality has probably evolved that a little, but I doubt that will affect Cocoa’s bottom line. If if is romantic for all of them at the end of the day, I’d think that would add a lot more dimension to the characters. Also ive raised my nephews since I was 18 (am 32 now), I love them with every fiber of my being and see them as my children, I have many times in the past decade said “yay I get the boys around for the week woooo.” Lets not assume love is so one sided now a days..

Lots of interesting points, Drew, and I agree with the champ that they make sense. I guess I can see where Sun’s coming from if she’s thinking “‘Brina’s the only real friend I’ve got at a time when I could really use one. You know, what with Brooke being a bitch, Krystin doing her own thing, and things being purely business with the other Damage Inc. members. So if she starts spending less of her free time with me and more with this Cocoa chick then I’m not gonna be happy about it.”

“Hooks” and “Cocoa chick” in the same breath is not a good thing. That’s just a slip of the tongue short of “hooker” and then the cards are down.
Things could get ugly at the turn of a dime, especially since Sun isn’t one to mince words.
I’ve noticed you’ve been drawing Sun a bit different over the last week, particularly in the eyes. Is that intentional?
Yeah, I’ve been trying to work on all the girls, making them a little bit more distinctive. I think I can do a lot by tweeking facial features and body types.
So when does Sun meet Yoshi? ^.^ And when does Vincent pop out of Sun’s suitcase?
Sun and Yoshi will meet this evening (in comic time)! Vincent is probably slithering out of it as we speak. 😉
i guess Sun has seen brina’s cosplay shoots? or the change of ring attire at the least. glad to see Sun has “proper” perspective of her status in damage inc though she’s genre savvy (to continue today’s tv tropes theme) enough to know when Yvonne’s trying to reel in her intended fish.
maybe now we’ll find out why Sun/Cocoa don;t like each other based on that last panel. have their path’s crossed before- after all Sun didn;t get her ‘lil dragon’ nickname in the states did she? BFF infringement rights? or does Sun feel cocoa’s keeping brina from focusing (what brina lose focus- as a sicilian once said “inconceivable!”) on her matchs with all this outside stuff- and why does Cocoa hate Sun?

Uh oh. Sun doesn’t seem to think too kindly of Cocoa. Is she afraid her “Besties” status might be revoked?
