Here is a commission I did of a couple of FAWN ladies Gretchen Vaughn doing her Macho Man (or CM Punk, if you prefer) top rope imitation to Adrianne Papadopolous.
Here’s a little bit of my process:
I first sketch it out to make sure I have all the general placements and idea in place.
After everything looks solid, I then add the flat colors. I use flat colors and save it on its own layer because it makes changing or editing any colors later on a snap.
The final is a product of adding some special effects and my own usual coloring. 😀

The one is a bit exposed, yeah…
Of course, I think her gear preserves dignity a little better than the other’s. Ms. Vaughn is wearing a one-piece bathing suit with a smiley-face positioned right about at the womb area. Surely, being somewhat less than half-dressed is the classier option?
I’ve always wondered why people do the whole skirt thing for wrestling. Doesn’t seem like it makes much sense!
The way I was drawing Adrianne, at least the intent, with the skirt, she’s more covered than Charlotte or Sasha (same top). The Smiley face, to my knowledge isn’t meant to be provocative and I certainly didn’t position it any which way, other than what I found in a Google search.
The style is slightly different than what I normally do, and for what it’s worth, I thought it turned out pretty well. 😛
The skirt thing in combat sports, Scuffles, my wife is in the same boat as you. It doesn’t help that the Mrs. is not a fan of Miesha Tate either. XD But, I think maybe it’s meant to be a touch of ‘girly,’ said affectionately in the rough world of combat sports.
I’ve always looked at the skirt thing as like “I don’t have to show off my butt” kinda thing. Sara Del Rey used to wear what we called her “butt-cape” since it was a half-skirt. Perfectly tailored to block your view of the 4th point of contact while still looking cool. Shaza McKenzie wears one but that is for her character, which is played rather feminine. Cheerleader Melissa used ot wear one to complete the “cheerleader” look.
I forgot to mention that I’ve been drawing Krystin with one! I thought it would be a nice touch for someone like her. XD
This is some of your best stuff yet. Not the actual hold, as I think that was a choice on the commissioner’s part. But the body shape, especially the one of the ground, looks advanced.

OH come on guys. We wear the same shorts under the skirt as we would w/o the skirt. It’s the power of your own imaginations feeding your libido. You feel like you’re peeking at something you shouldn’t and her merch commission go through the roof.

That top is larger then the one usually worn in the ring by Mia Yim, LoL. And Mia is a big, strong woman to be sporting that small of a top.
I wouldn’t have said Mia was as big. I’ll have to look. She is one of the greats though No question.
She seems big, at 5’7″ and a very fit 135lbs. I’d say she is at least above average.
She is taller than the current female in the U.S., which is 5′ 4″ And I feel that’s about right since I’m 5′ 8″ and look down on most women. While Callie is taller than me, I look down on her too. Just sayin’
Google shows little agreement on average weight. I see 140 – 165lbs depending on the source, which is pretty suspicious.
There was a Twitter thing going on between Mia Yim, Lufisto and another gal I can’t remember, but it had to do with Mia Yim’s top. Mia and Lufisto seemed to be bantering good naturedly but the other gal was throwing some shade toward Mia for her usual wrestling top and something about getting poked in the eye from Mia’s nipple always coming out. *I* have never seen that personally with Mia but there was at least one lady who disagreed.
Out of all the ladies I’ve spoken with the only hard rule concerning gear is that the ladies are comfortable in what they’re wearing. I think Rain was the last one to confirm that and it was in relation to what the SHINE girls adhere to. In that regard, Mia can wear whatever she wants as long as she’s comfortable. I suppose, the same could extend to Adrianne?
With Adrianne’s top above, I modeled it after Sasha and Charlotte’s. And in complete weirdness, I like Sasha’s top, but not Charlotte’s. 😛

It’s so funny watching Brenda try to look down her nose at someone taller than her. Usually makes for a good time to smack her one, which makes for a good time all ’round!
