Page 199 – Stunned
Wooo, Sabrina delivered a knockout blow to the ever nosey, ever rude, Kat Smith with the conversation ending Ultrakick. Kat is counting sheep on the outside of the ring, much to the celebration of the crowd, and really, she’s had it coming all match.
An eye rake later by Jen Needles though, and we have a reversal of fortune, with Sabrina’s offense cut short. She was rallying there for a minute, wasn’t she?
Ack! Feet up on the ropes for extra leverage over your opponent is textbook heel work, so Jen’s doing a good job with many heels scoring a victory this way. Can Sabrina kick out?
Page 200 coming up on Wednesday! I’ve got a lot of different emotions about that page, but we’ll save it for then.
Foot on the ropes coming up?
I thinking, I might get another of albne’s ticket of commenting this episode
Panel 2: is smooth! I don’t think this is an “Ultrakick”.. “Ultrakick” is like “sweet kick music” or a side kick.. here’s “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini doing is a roundhouse kick.. by that stand.. I guess “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini learn tae kwon do, or karate. that’s the correct roundhouse kick stand..
Panel 3.0: YEAH!!BRENDA RUA CHAMP T-SHIRT.. YEAH!!! BRENDA RUA!! A GREAT WRESTLER NO DOUBT! AWESOME!!
Panel 3.1: rake to eye.. ahh! Jennifer stole the catgirls move!.. and that’s my technical foul I did in basketball, rake to the eye.. also effective.. (kisu kuchibiru) to Jennifer Needles
Â
panel 4-5: Jennifer Needles is lying there.. “White Queen” Chloe De Sade didn’t taught her that, maybe that belly ring attack.. but not this.. (Kisu Kuchibiru) Jennifer Needles

M.G.C. cheers [ninja rap background music]: GO NEEDLES! GO NEEDLES GO! GO NEEDLES! GO NEEDLES GO! GO NEEDLES! GO NEEDLES GO! GO NEEDLES! GO NEEDLES GO! GO NEEDLES! GO NEEDLES GO! GO GO GO GO! NEEDLES! NEEDLES! ROCK! NEEDLES! NEEDLES ROCK! NEEDLES! NEEDLES ROCK!
M.G.C. cheers: LET’S GO! NEEDLES! LET’S GO! LET’S GO NEEDLES! LET’S GO! LET’S GO NEEDLES! LET’S GO!
M.G.C. battlecry:Â ROAR!!!JENNIFER!!!!!NEEDLES!!!!!!ALL!!!!!!!!!!FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HELL’S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BELLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ROAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!RAAAAAAA!!!
Jen Needles is getting up awfully quick after getting her head bashed into the STEEL steps, as well as the crowd barricade. On top of that, I’d hardly expect that an eye rake is going to keep anybody down, much less a crowd-pumped face like UltraGirl!
(Anyone besides me stoked about the result of the Undertaker/HBK match last night? [details not revealed to avoid spoilers])
The ref looks so intense in the last panel. Intensely intense. Like if he doesn’t get this right then HE’S going to be the one that gets jumped on next. He probably is. Poor ref. *hangs head sadly*
Okay, first off, MGC, Ultrakick is a fine label for that shot to the Wild Kat. There’s no marks to suggest a swinging motion. It’s a back thrust kick. The sort that Shawn uses when he hits Sweet Chin Music on a partner after some match. Yes, he does have a habit of kicking his partners.
Also, Sabrina isn’t going to be pinned. Jennifer can’t even cheat right. Look how far over she is in that. Nothing keepoing Sabrina’s ‘near’ shoulder down at all. It’ll be easy to roll that one up and get back on the offensive.
Picky, just might happen. That’s something we haven’t seen quite yet in Rival Angels. Of course, Jen might just win it here. O_o
Hey MGC, glad you liked the update. It IS the Ultrakick in panel 2. Dawn says so, which is my way of reaffirming to the readers that what you see is indeed, true.
Zodo, you don’t think Jen is going to get the win, even with the feet on the ropes? Jen’s eye attack was a bit of desperation, though the obvious joke is that Jen’s not too gifted brainwise for the ‘Belle ringing’ to take maximum effect. 🙂 Undertaker vs HBK was match of the night. Hands down. Check out the Rival Angels Wrestlemania thread we got going on in the forum.
Hey Riki, the ref is very focused, which is why he’s missing Jen’s cheating ways.
Thanks Salazen. Hehe about HBK kicking his partners, the one with Diesel comes to mind. I’m getting the impression you guys don’t think Jen can win this match here. 😛
What they call a roundhouse kick usually isn’t. That is either a sidekick, or a heel kick.
I dunno. Sabrina might have a trick or two left. It’s coming down to who wants it more. Â
I hope Rival Angels has a good dental plan, ’cause Kat’s gonna need it when she wakes up… Nice boot to the head, and Kat certainly deserved it. As far as a rake to the eyes being enough to knock Sabrina down for a three count, just remember that she’s been fighting two opponents for several minutes and is no doubt tired. Will she kick out? Yes, but will she be able to finish The Pin Head before Kat can interfere again?
I need to get a seatbelt for my computer chair.
Panel one: Ya shouldn’t have said that, Kat.
Panel two: Sabrina explodes in righteous fury; her Action Hair and radiating blue lines carry her momentum. Some folks seem to have trouble following what happend… Sabrina spun around on her right foot and her left foot came up and whapped Kat in the face. The sudden stop is what brings her hair around, while she was spinning her hair was streaming to the right.
Panel three: once again the fans show their support. This time they are shades of pastel purple, teal, and gray. Some of the folks are looking straight ahead while others are looking to the left; I imagine that’s where the jumbotron is. The fans who are sitting are all looking to the left while the standing fans are divided in which way to look.
Panel four: not sure I get this one, after all she’s been through up to now a simple face rake shouldn’t bother Sabrina.
Panel five: evidently Jen has no problem picking up Sabrina and rolling her back in the ring. The one fan, third from the left, seems to be standing on his seat. All that action sure gets the folks going!
Panel six: I think Sabrina can get out of this one. Jeff is falling out of character, in this match he’s actually said good things about Sabrina.
Next ep is number 200… I remember # 100 was a special ep; I’m certainly curious to see what happens next!!Â

Everything else aside, Sabrina’s expression in the first panel is priceless. It’s that whole “WHAT did you just say?”
Well, feet on the ropes can succeed or fail, no guarantee either way. It does seem to be a bit of a perspective problem since as Salazen mentioned, there’s nothing at all keeping her right shoulder pinned — all of Jen’s weight is pressed on the left – and from this angle she just needs to jerk it up a bit. Of course, if that’s what happens, then it wasn’t a problem but intended by the artist. 😀
I still have a feeling Sabrina’s going to pull this one out. I do think the rake to the eyes taking her out was kind of contrived, but it may work for you dramatically. Liked Sabrina booting the hell out of Kat, though. Let’s see what happens.
Thanks for weighing in on the issue, cresc!
Hey the champ is here! Brenda, I think you’re right on the money and because of that, I think you will enjoy the weeks’ updates. 😉
Ha Ha GhostEraser! Just like hockey, Rival Angels has a good dental plan. Yeah, Sabrina’s pretty exhausted and that rake to the eyes is not fun. Maybe Sabrina IS just taking a two second rest?
Hey RDF! Strap in man, you never know what’s going to happen! You always have great fun analysis. Your call of panel 2 and the fan standing on his seat are spot on. XD Some fans are excitable that way. And yeah, about the crowd shot, its always funny to see the people in the front row to look at the jumbotron even though the action is right in front of them. Thanks as always, man, I hope 200 delivers.
Right on Adon! That first panel was a favorite by many, so you’re in good company. With the pin, you could say that Jen rushed it a bit and is banking that Sabrina’s exhaustion will do the rest. This isn’t Jen’s first double team, so her experience tells her that Sabrina is done. And she might, but yeah, her right shoulder, plus her leg seem free.
Darkmark, I think we’d see more offense from Sabrina following the eye rake if Jen would’ve done something other than pin her. Glad you liked the Ultrakick, I was tempted to use a Earnest The Cat Miller reference and say that ‘someone should call Kat’s momma!’ LOL
……. weird position by Jennifer there. But I think in that position referee could see her clearly. Watch as ref stop his count and told Jen to let go of her foot from the rope, Jen arguing with the ref, Sabrina capitalizing by doing a School Boy/Girl pin from behind.
