Page 200 – Two Hundred!
Sabrina not only kicked out, but she got herself the upper hand. She even got a pin attempt in to a vulgar and distracted Jen Needles. Despite the toll the match has taken on both girls, they still find the resolve to trade banter. Sabrina’s up, but can she parlay that into victory?
Oh yeah, PAGE 200! It’s been challenging and fun and it’s been a pleasure to have you all as readers. It seems not that long ago that we hit 100 pages. Thanks for reading my fun little story! With 200 pages in the can, tell me what you think. What do you like, who do you like? And what do you think is coming down the road? 😀
Whoooo, lots of fun things coming over the horizon. The chase for the Television Title is going strong. Remember that contest we had to see who would win this round of matches? I’ll be posting the winners of that soon. I have some criminally awesome writers lined up. Lora Innes and Justin Riley will be dropping some scribery on our favorite angels in the near future. And, the Rival Angels trade paperback will be coming out this summer! 132 pages of readery goodness, all for your hot little hands.
Oh yeah, check out the Voting Incentive to see how Brooke is helping commemorate the occasion. 😀
Well, heck. I don’t know where Sabrina gets the energy (or Jen, after she’s had her head banged against something at least twice), but I hope she keeps it. Let’s get this one done pronto, okay, Albone? Thanks.
Yay! I got it almost right. Jen argue with the ref and Sabrina capitalize it with School Boy/Girl.
I have to say across all 200 strips I really like the matches the most, particularly the ones with Sabrina, and my thoughts for the future is Sabrina taking the TV title with immense difficulty.
The sequence of moves in this trip makes sense to me. A roll up on someone who isn’t paying attention, then a hurracanrana as a reversal of a gutwrench suplex. It seems Sabrina is learning better how to trash talk too. I’m hoping Chloe doesn’t make it out in time to mess with things, but I’m expecting she will make an appearance before this match is over.
Yea! 200 Pages! Congratulations! I like how the characters are each different, with their own motivation and style. And they are consistent. The wrestling action is well paced and the back stories are interesting.  Sabrina and Sun are my favorites. Brooke and the Beverly Hell Bellies are fun to hate.  As far as what is going to happen in the future – I don’t know. One of the best things you have going is that the plot is not predictable (to me, anyway…).
Â
Thanks for all your hard work!
Woah!! 200!!! AOW! AOW! AOW!

M.G.C. battlecry: ROAR!! JENNIFER…………NEEDLES……………..ALL……………..FALL……………TO…….THE……………HELL’S………….BELLES………….ROAR!! RAAAA!!
Congrats on the 200th page!
Good reversal by Sabrina, starting to convert any attempt to build momentum by Jennifer into her own! However, as we’ve seen with high flyers from Ricky Steamboat all the way to Rey Mysterio today they have a verrrry nasty tendency to cock it up and let their opponent sneak a win when it all seems like its going their way..
Also, you may be right on the Easter Egg count…
Hey Darkmark! The people give Sabrina her energy. 😉 Sabrina echos your sentiments.
Yep, PS2kid, but what’s going to happen next? 😛
Hey HVK! Thanks for the comments. You’re in good company with liking Sabrina and she’s going to give it her all to get that TV Title around her waist.
Zodo, Chloe is the wildcard here and it’s yet to be seen if we’ll see any other Upstart girls around. I’m glad you found the page and move sequence easy to follow.
Thanks GhostEraser! I appreciate the comments and kind words. I’m thrilled that you’re enjoying the story and art and looking forward to more.
Hi MGC, I’m glad you liked the Voting Incentive. 😀 And I’m glad you got the ‘inside joke.’ 😛
Whoo-hoo Prestwick, there were many distracting Easter eggs. XD Very true with the high flyers hamming it up but we’ve seen that Sabrina hasn’t had time to do so. She’s barely getting in some trash talk and that’s only because Kat is presumably out. More on the way!
Congratulations on hitting 200. That’s a big accomplishment, especially with the quality of the art and writing.
Jen and Sabrina’s little verbal tete a tete was great.Â
200 is an accomplishment, and more that you get the comics in on time three times a week. Some webcomics come out extremely erratically.
Guess that confirms Jennifer Needles plays for the other team, huh?
Here we are at ep 200, I’ve had fun and I’m looking forward to reading RA for a long, long, time.
I like how the comic works in two speeds, the furious match pace and the more sedate ‘at home’ pace like when Sun and Sabrina went to the amusement park. Of course, ‘at home’ doesn’t mean ‘no drama’; just look at the Brooke scheming and Creepy Stalker Fanboy Vince plotlines. Like Ghost Eraser I enjoy how each of the characters is an individual, we’re not reading about generic people, they seem real because each is unique. ( Of course, you could do a stable of three masked girls with identical costumes who are never seen out of costume, I can see a ‘who are they?’ plot hook )
Interesting there will be some new writers, I imagine this will bring some new viewpoints and unique ‘takes’ on the ongoing plotline; that’s a good thing. If you were to just write the whole thing yourself there is the risk you’d miss out on storytelling possibilities.
About this ep… panels five and six are Sabrina at her best, a static panel followed by an action pic illustrating her turning a disadvantage to a dramatic move of some sort. Panel six is especially dynamic, Sabrina is at ease while Jen is panic sricken. I suppose this panel is looking down at the mat; Sabrina is  floating above the mat while Jennifer is striking the ground with her left shoulder. An alternative interpretation is we’re seeing the ref’s point of view: Sabrina is flying while Jen tumbles through the air. Given the leaps, jumps, and kicks we’ve seen Sabrina do, I would think she has very strong legs, more so than other athletic women her size, and so strong enough for either interpretation.
I found the Brooke vote incentive kinda funny… she’s able to button Michael’s shirt closed and she has her legs together…
Thanks Picky, thanks for the congratulations and the kind words! I’m also happy you’re enjoying the verbal contest going on alongside the physical one.
Hey Ken, thanks! I don’t get how some webcomics don’t keep a regular update schedule. 200 and counting! Jen’s not too shy about the team she plays for, but she’s not bragging about it. More on that in the future. The cool thing about that last panel is that is could be viewed really at any angle or point in the move! Whatever you point you want it at, its yours. 😀 Definitely some symbolism going on in the Voting Incentive, I’m glad you liked it!
Hey RDF! Thanks man, I really like having you as a reader as well as the writer for the great comments you leave! The new writers are good friends of mine so its a win-win to have them on board. Actually, Justin’s influence is constantly felt because I always send him the script and always fixes all of my grammatical errors and suggests better ways of type. I’m glad you liked the page especially the last two panels.
