Chapter 06— Page 4-Championship Defense
One of the bigger matches in all of Rival Angels and possibly Yvonne Carmichael’s biggest championship defense. As you can see both ladies aren’t lacking in the confidence department. But you have to favor the champ, right? Or does Camille have the advantage going in to this fight? Remember that this issue got ironed out at the last press conference.
This is the only match on the INTERNATIONAL INCIDENT PPV that isn’t a crossover match between BRA and Rival Angels. Strictly a World Championship match for the Rival Angels World Championship.
Over on the Rival Angels forum, CALLIE wrote a very compelling and entertaining story that could arguably add more to this bit of drama. Definitely worth checking out.

So there is a title match in all of this…interesting. Makes me wonder how the challengers will train for their respective fights ?
I think a lot of it is sticking to what they do best. They don’t really have a ton of time to do anything else! But that means we’ll be getting into the matches, almost right away.
You know when you take away Gabrielle’s dialogue from the first panel, it almost seems like Camille would be representing BRA
(even though she would get the entire division reck’ed) *coughs*
Camille Cote with BRA? That would be all kinds of crazy, but Atlas would be totally down for it.
I hope you have some time to develop Camille’s character, because up to now she’s pretty much been behind the curtain.
I do want to build her more as a character, but it’ll depend on how much time and space I can devote to it. I hope you liked her verbal sparring with Brenda last chapter. 😀
I wonder how long the champ will hold out after Camille gets her in the calf slicer? 😀
Yvonne’s Marketing and Social Media team would like to inform you that while Camille’s Calf Slicer is one of the most feared submission holds in all of wrestling, she won’t have any chance to put it on after she’s been KO’d by the current champion, Yvonne Carmichael.
Noticed that Brenda Rua got slapped and she wasn’t even there.
Camille is very talented both in and out of the ring.
Hmmm… I want to be ringside for this. And who knows but I might just bring my shillelagh. For my trick knee, of course…
You know Gabrielle has a seat for you. And since she’s got that…one visitor watching the matches with her in the skybox, everyone else that normally hangs out with her for the matches has disappeared.
Gotta favor the Olympian on this one. Was it ever established what event she was a medalist IN?
She medaled in Wrestling! though, come to think of it, I think I left it vague in case I wanted to switch it to powerlifting.
hmm interesting title match there. can Darth Yvonne survive the power of the Olympic side of the force?
going by my own personal scenario for how things will end up I shall shockingly (for me) say the challenger wins the title leading to an end game of brina having to face the fusion of kurt angle and asuka of Rival angels for the belt.
also the sportsmanship of the handshake at the end. once more showing how the dastardly heels always seem to get along better/respect each other more than the faces always seem to in similar situations.
It’s funny, isn’t it? How heels can get along, at least in outwardly. I think because they know the bottom line, the endgame and until then, it’s all games. At least for the most jaded and cynical.
That’s a good promo, ‘Darth Yvonne vs. Olympic Side.’ XD
I like your prediction and it’ll be fun to see how this shakes out.
Be interesting to see the crowd reaction here. Who would they pull for – Camille or Yvonne?
As seems to be the case in today’s pro wrestling audience….BOTH.
Surprised to have this none cross over happening at the pay per view. But then again when you only have one championship and that match is spoken for it’s hard to have a champion vs. champion match.
Camille may be on one hell of a roll but I question her encouraging Carmichael’s shenanigans. Also surprised they didn’t go the extra mile and make it a Metal vs Metal match. Camille’s silver metal vs. Carmichael’s title belt.
Camille will not be denied her championship match! And clearly she’s super-confident in where she practically dares Yvonne to have Damage Inc. interfere on her behalf. But, since Sabrina has joined, has Damage Inc actually done any of that cheating stuff?
That’s a pretty cool idea about Yvonne and Camille each putting up their Metal. Something to consider down the line.
The interaction between Gabrielle and Atlas is interesting. Last comic we saw Atlas positively salivating over the Widow/Sun matchup. Now we see his sheepish reaction to Gabs’ barb about putting the title up. I don’t REALLY blame him for not wanting to put his company’s title on the line against an opponent under contract to a competitor, but he’s already risking that title’s prestige getting diminished if the blonde beats the Brazilian.
Suffice it to say, I think Atlas’ cleverness is as lacking as his professionalism…which makes me that much more disappointed in Gabrielle :p
Atlas made sure that Matsumora wasn’t around to spoil his fun with common sense and decency. This is Atlas unfiltered but with what Gabrielle can fight back, thanks to the Upstarts shenanigans back at the BRA PPV. For instance, it’s not officially a ‘catfight’ any more, though where Neko takes it is anyone’s guess.
Camille Cote = the new Chloe de Sade confirmed!
But since this is all about Sabrina, this will be the setup for her to be kicked out of
the HorsemenDamage Inc…only for her to ave her roaring rampage of revenge on all of Rival Angels and be the championAlboneshe (was) destined to be.Oof, Yvonne ephasizing that Camille couldn’t get to the top in the olympics
Honestly, at best it’s a catty remark. As if Silver is something to be ashamed of. Of course, it does mean that someone BEAT her for the gold, as opposed to the Bronze which is awarded on points.
I thought they gave both competitors bronze if they lost their semifinal matches.
I thought semifinal losers would wrestle in a consolation match for the bronze medal.
They do. They changed it in 2012. My mistake.
And the trash talking has already started
Early and often! Nothing helps sell a fight quite like some solid trash talking.
Regarding the MMA match, I don’t think it’s possible to have an octagon cage at a wrestling event.
Then again, the WWE has done complicated structures like the Elimination Chamber and the Punjabi Prison match, so I guess it’s possible to set up an octagon, then take it down. With that in mind, perhaps the MMA match can start off the show. The octagon would be all ready to go when the show kicks off. Then when it’s over, there would be a brief intermission while the octagon is taken down and the ring is set up. Then the rest of the show should flow along easily.
The cage will be there, but not the Octagon. Plenty of other federations like PRIDE just utilized ropes and ring.
