Chapter 08— Page 01-Announcement
There we have it, Gabrielle’s announcement for the World Title picture. The TL,DR is that Sabrina and Cocoa will fight in a one fall fight to the finish and the winner will be put into the Main Event and make it a Triple Threat Match for the Rival Angels World Championship.
Not a perfect solution but one that Gabrielle feels is best and fair for everyone involved. More to come next update!!
Some of you might not know this, but Trevor is a real life buddy of mine and has been in every single Rival Angels book. This appearance marks his last appearance in the book and it was fun having him as a part of the story.

The Road to the FINAL FIGHT begins here. The boss lady made the right choice as Sabrina has few choice moves to unleash on Coccoa and Brenda.
Hmmm. Some might think that Gabrielle really hates Sabrina, but dares not dump her for good because of the fans she brings in…
Well I called the triple threat match. But why does Cocoa deserve to be inserted in the mix? That’s just bizzaro.
Gabrielle’s reasons will be revealed next update. 😀
I’ll take “the grudge match will make this PPV do an additional crap-ton of buys!”
Agreed with Scuffles. Cocoa is not even on the roster.
Also, I don’t ever recall a triple threat match on Rival Angels, at least not on panel. This has to be a first.
I’m going to be cool on the comments, because I don’t want to give anything away, but next update whould shed some more light.
There was the Rookie Fatal Fourway, way back when, like on page 37 of the series. Otherwise, there’s been a couple that we only heard about , or saw only a panel or two. I think Veronica, Rampage and Loretta was one of those.
Well lets see Coco gets to fight Sabrina for free and a chance for a Championship if she can pull off a miracle. “Interesting, very interesting” (in a German accent).
Sabrina on the other hand gets double to pay if she wins the first match (2 matches). Extra pay will be good and everyone knows she fights the best when she is beat up, tired and annoyed.
While it was defiantly the right choice to make the match a triple threat match and give Sabrina a chance at sweet sweet revenge on Cocoa, I can’t help but be concerned at a possibility this match makes. While I have no doubt Sabrina will beat Cocoa from pillar to post and get the win, there is still the very real possibility that if Cocoa wins that means it will be a two on one agents Brenda’s favor. Even more it also means that Gabriel would loose her world title to a wrestler from a rival company. Thought Gabriel was smarter than that.
well this lets brina get revenge on cocoa for ruining her title match chance (and also break the 1-1 tie between them) and give her a chance to get in the title match as well without actually gifting her a shot. getting a bit of a Daniel bryan having to beat HHH to get put into the batista/orton main event for the title an going through all of evolution in the process. though in this case Brenda being in the mix ruins brina’s chance to make a similar run through the Three Fates.
somehow I have the feeling a sun/black widow rematch is soon to be announced as well.
It’s a good move. Can’t really punish Brenda for not having anything to do with Cocoa. And you can’t punish Brina for getting screwed, less you have the fans riot. Smartest move for Gabrielle to work it out like this
I’m unsure why she’d want to give Cocoa a chance to fight for and win the Rival Angels belt. Seems like a bad move again from the business. Only legitimizes your competing business, one which has now cheated/screwed with you twice, showing they aren’t willing to co-promote for mutual success. I do presume there will be a line of Rival Angels fighters outside that ring to make sure no more BRA shenanigans during the bout… given the prior behavior of both BRA and Cocoa specifically.
I like it as a storyline, I just don’t get it truthfully from the lets assume pro wrestling is real perspective. Plus why risk an injured Brina in the Championship match, even if she wins? The bigger issue though is involving Cocoa and thus BRA in Rival Angels business, and particularly their championship, yet again.
I hear your concerns, and I see where this could butt up against Pro Wrestling conventional wisdom, but I did borrow precedent from MMA when something like this happens.
There has certainly been co-promotion in MMA, but that was the last event with BRA vs Rival Angels… where BRA pulled shenanigans already. Cocoa then came back and pulled more shenanigans. Co-promotion takes trust and is done when there is a benefit. Not sure how there is either here.
Anyway, look forward to reading the chapter, just not comfy with the ‘believability’ of the setup 🙂 Gabrielle better be making sure that match goes the way Rival Angels, not just wants, but needs. Brina losing to Cocoa, even fair and square would be pretty devastating to her brand and theirs.
well they could argue in a business sense that they’re thinking of doing a RoH/NJPW type of shared talent on shows in order to expand their brand in a market where they would otherwise have no real way of reaching. if people like seeing RA grappler “A” over in BRA they might try to find a way to tune into RA and visa versa.
Three Fates is a good start to this because you have the champions of both groups together in the same faction like in the Bullet Club. also offers up the chance to do a “survivor series” type of event with the two companies where people who despise each other 11 months out of the year suddenly are inspired by the tee shirt they are wearing to ignore everything for a month in order to deal with the fiends over in the other promotion! before going back to suddenly hating each other again
Oooohhh damn, I been waiting for this ass whooping. Knowing Cocoa she’s gonna pull out all the stops and hope Sabrina whoops the snot out of her. But with Cocoa who knows…
So much riding on the line with that match, and then bring up the personal animosity between the wo and you have the makings of a great match or an ugly one. Maybe both.
And so it begins. Wrestlemania 30–er, Heaven and Hell. Hope at least one of those girls Cocoa double-crossed shows up to exact their revenge after Sabrina exacts hers.
Brooke and Krystin should go to the ring with Sabrina to “prevent interference”, and after the bell, slip in the ring and intimidate Cocoa, then double-clothesline Sabrina, so Cocoa is disqualified, and Sabrina gets the Triple Threat slot without going through a long, tough match first. Karmic justice!
YES, that would be pretty cool. 😀
That seems like a strategic blunder on Gabrielle’s part, unless she’s planning to double-cross Cocoa somehow.
Whoa whoa whoa…So Sabrina has to fight TWO matches that night with ONE already sounding like it has championship caliber quality to it and she only gets to fight in the second one if she wins what sounds like is already going to be pretty intense?!!! DA HELL?!! She gets screwed out of her title shot and now she has to double her effort to get something that already should have been hers in the first place?!! On top of that, if she DOES manage to win and beat Cocoa she has to pull off a herculean effort to take on Camille and Brenda. Talk about stacking the deck against her!! you SUCK GABRIELLE
