Chapter 10-Page-21-RAR!
Jan08
Sabrina might’ve missed with that wild opening shot, but she DID strike first, but she’s going to have to work hard to strike last. That tricky little dragon. What is she thinking? Now that the fight is ON, what do you think?

…”Where did she go?”
This is what we like to call “a blonde moment.”
Funny, that’s a trick Sabrina sometimes does :).
Can’t believe she forgot that you never ever take your eye off your opponent.
Didn’t Bruce Lee even say that?
Sun used the ancient art of misdirection. It is quite elegant and works every time
“Quick! Turn left right here!”
against blonds and most guys.
Silly Sabrina Spellmancini. Adding flippies to the
SupermanSupergirlUltramanUltragirl punch of random and indeterminate power and accuracy? That may impress the average Ultramaniac, but as we can see, class is now in session and Dr. Wong is her professor of professional wrestling. Once Sabrina’s done with this class, she will finally know the difference between a wristlock and a wristwatch. Perfect for her next job as a jeweler in Joliet. As for Sun and Damage Inc., it’s a noble endeavor to try to restore the Rival Angels World Title to the prestige it once had before it went missing over two years ago. It was last seen in the possession of some redhead in a trenchcoat and fedora.
Weird. I was briefly interested in something you said. About a thief with a trench coat a fedora. Unfortunately, you mention red hair, so it is very unlikely to be the lady I’m looking for…
Hard to believe that she though jumping out at Sun like that would have worked.
Maybe she’s been hanging around the Catgirls too much?
Ninja’d! Who wants to bet there’ll be a misting a-coming?
Misting is possible but I am expecting a surprise attack. BANJO !
Yeah…here comes the BOOM!
It seems like it’s been a while since she’s misted someone. It might be due.
I think if I was being hurled into the furniture by someone with that look on their face, I’d make myself hard to find too. Hmm… let’s hope Sun doesn’t handle the rest of this encounter as I would.
Watching this match with interest. Sabrina and Sun are still my favorites. This match makes me anxious.
I think if I hurled somebody into the furniture I’d beat the hell out of them while they’re already down and vulnerable. Turning your back and separating are hella rookie moves that Sabrina should be over by now. More proof that she’s mostly operating on blind emotion right now. She’ll make a good effort, do a cool move or two, but there is no way she wins this match if she doesn’t calm down and use her head.
Must admit, I’m a little mystified about Sabrina’s thought process here. I would think that the two options that would occur to someone at that point, even with some severe emotional confusion going on, would be to apply boots or to throw the other person into the ring. Lack of experience shouldn’t even be relevant. I understand Sun in this situation, not Sabrina, in a tactical sense.
Sabrina was happy to get the first shot in, and then resume her starting position, as it were. Sun didn’t like the current landscape so she changed it.
It seems, thus far, that you have to win inside the ring. Sabrina might be guilty of letting up on Sun, but how many opponents vanish? This early? I don’t think its so much Sabrina being unfocused as much as Sun is playing for keeps.
Great point, since the bell STILL hasn’t rung. No one would be getting counted out or DQ’ed. So, Sun’s playing it smart since Brina didn’t.
Once that bell rings, such shenanigans could bite your butt.
If Sun is wise she will use Sabrina’s anger against her.
Where indeed? Get thrown into the steel steps like that, I too would play the stealth game. That had to have hurt, so the obvious first move on Sun’s part is a sneak attack, but if Sabrina was smart, she’d take every opportunity she could get to target Sun’s back. Maybe that’s the bloodthirst talking, though. It’s that I would do after throwing my opponent into the steel steps to start the match. Wear down their back, get them to the point it hurts to do anything at all, then keep up the assault until they beg for mercy and shout, loudly, their submission. More merciful would be a back/mid-section targeting submission hold, I think, but when someone you thought was your friend stabs you in the back for a title shot they’d only get for putting you out of a job, why stop at just winning? They’re willing to end your career, return the favor. Or at least hurt them so bad they’ll think twice before deciding further knifing is a good idea down the road. “Remember what I did to you last time you betrayed me” and all that. But that’s me and how I’d approach a match where my career was on the line against an apparent former friend.
I am guess Sun is under the ring at the moment. So would it be cool if she was and she cut the ring open and popped out of it?
Things are going to get plenty ugly before this is over.
Facing a flying like Sun, especially a smaller opponent keeping her grounded and focusing on the back is a good strategy. One of Mo Chen’s favorite Exploder suplexes or spine busters would be my personal choices.
Wouldn’t whiffing like that normally result in a bit of a crash at least? Sabrina’s clearly got mad landing skills.
Also, Sun’s a ninja. My bet is that she’s hiding in Sabrina’s shadow.
I am kind of surprised that Sun let her not only get back up but grab her.
Wait, are you suggesting that not only has Sabrina seemingly left herself open for attack, but Sun is too? That is CRAZY. Unless you’re not suggesting that at all, and then I am. XD
Not Sabrina’s first landing. If nothing else, it’s instinctual to land on her feet. And as for Sun…you saw her hiding in there?! XD
Yeah, Sabrina’s going to have to be at th top of her game and don’t let up if she is going to beat Sun.
My guess, is that Sun is under Sabrina and the ring.
She will need to go from her P game to her A game and quickly.
Sabrina has everything to lose and Sun has everything to win.
This is going to be so look rough. And to think last year Sun made the trip all the way to Tokyo to visit Sabrina and celebrate the New Year with her. The two of them dancing away the night.
And Sabrina pissed Sun off so she plans to beat her up for it.
And here we are now! Shoving into steel stairs and vanishing!
As they say, “Look up!” or was that “Look Out?” heh 🙂
“Get down?” XD
Get to da Choppa!
I think Sabrina will be saying “What the heck!” when she gets sneaked attack
It could also be, ‘ooof’ or ‘blargh.’
Three words, Brina – Dragons. Can. Fly.
AND inspired by Smaug’s performance!
ha i knew Sun was watching El matadores for that well timed OLE! Brina did shrug off landing on that knee with all that velocity behind it pretty quick- gotta love adrenaline. BRINA SMASH LITTLE DRAGON in panel 2.
but i see Sun is now using her ninja skills to escape. like Snow i think she’s busy crawling under the ring to the other side where she can wait for brina to turn about and launch a ninja sneak attack any minute now.
the bell hasn;t rung yet has it?
The bell is…implied. 😉 I mean, we have a ref, right?
Hulk Brina is back, at least momentarily. Under the ring is the smart money on Ninja Sun, but what if she’s not???
“Puny ninja!”
GAH!!
Eye on the prize ‘Brina!! I say that a Bazillion Times!!!
*sigh*
…
Is a good thing that at least I follow my own advice…
…
I do!
*hmpfh*
**********
Baby ‘Brina Watch!
She sleeps! My Baby Sleeps! Thank God my Baby (occasionally) sleeps through (most of) the night!

YAY (quietly).

“Decepticons, Assemble for Battle!!”
“Autobots…Transform!!”
One of my favourite endings to any story ever!!
*Happy Dance!!*
The first full night sleep calls for a party! Congrats on making to past a milestone!
Sabrina’s bigger mistake is thinking that Sun wouldn’t pull her ninjaing act so soon. She was prepared to puff up her chest and dare Sun to come and meet a vengeful Ultragirl, but now look. Sun has gone and ruined that. 😛
YAY, Baby Brina! HUZZAH! Whoops, I hope I didn’t wake her. XD
W00t Transformers!
So Sun wasn’t blinded in the headlights, and managed to step out of line. Good for her! And bravo on the follow up trip. But failure to control and downed Brina cost Sun big time. She was clearly surprised to be taken in a choke and the slammed into stairs. Great opening sequence!
Get your bets down on what comes next. I already know. But then I’m the champ you all y’all are not. *snaps a warning glare!
So, you ARE going to interfere in the match! *laughs*
It makes a bit of sense, though. If Sun wins the match, she gets a World Title Match at any time (Is this similar to a Money-in-the-Bank suitcase?). I don’t know if Brenda likes the idea of facing Yvonne (the #1 contender) and then immediately facing Sun (or vice-versa).
Seriously, though. Nice start to the match. Sun is staying cool. If she keeps her composure, she can easily win by capitalizing on one of Sabrina’s mistakes. We might find out the answer to Kid’s question. “Is there such a thing as TOO high”?
Lastly, though. I do pity Gabrielle if Sabrina wins. This is bringing in the ratings AND media attention. If Sabrina wins, can Gabrielle trust her to say/do the right thing afterwards? That’s an emotional mess in the ring at the moment. It can still blow up badly in her face. If it does, the media will crucify Gabrielle.
Brenda’s going to interfere on behalf of Sun. She knows that as long as she’s facing Sun for the title, she’s not facing me.
Sabrina is due for a win. If she were to loose to Sun…..Sabrina’s future position in this illustrated novel would be in jeopardy. I think, somehow, this will work out where both Sun and Sabrina save face, combine wrestling forces to fend off a mutual enemy and re-dedicate themselves to their friendship. As interesting as it may seem, to see Sabrina loose to Sun, I doubt that will happen. It would be too difficult to write.
Isn’t it bad enough that you have to wake up and face yourself every day? O.O
It is! Seeing that beautiful face every morning, you’ve no idea how hard it is to pull yourself away and get on about the day.
No, seriously. You have absolutely no idea whatsoever XP
More surprises (I hope) are coming. 😉
I don’t know if this matters or not, but that last panel is super small, especially referee Sharon Gonzalez, but she’s unsuccessfully looking for Sun too.
Who knows!? Maybe Sun has her iPhone with and Super-Uber- Express ordering a large wiggly stick from Amazonian dot calm, to be used as the match “closer”. When Sun does something she does it right. We’re not talking about taking Sunshine out at the knees we’re talking about Taking her out for good.
Sabrina may have missed her first shot, but she defiantly hit hard with the second bull dowsing sun right into the steal steps. Now Sun is likley under the ring, hiding like the cockroach she is.
Great stuff, Bossman… so much action to come.
In the meantime, J.C. posted the next part of Enemy of my Enemy with Brenda/Loretta & me vs. the classic Belles (Kat, Jen and Chloe)

YAY!
Doesn’t look like Sun was expecting Sabrina to rebound as quickly as she did from that whiff. Or that she’d slam the gal right into those steel steps. I’ve got to say though, not smart by Sabrina to get back in the ring instead of staying outside and kicking some more butt. Bell hasn’t rung yet, so it’s all legal so far
She’s under the ring, doofus!
