Chapter: Chapter 14 - Necessary Roughness
Characters: Amanda Breaker, Brooke Lennox, Golden Girl, Professor Shannon McCourt, Rose Ryoko, Sabrina Mancini, Sara Valentine, Snow Kitten, Sun Wong, Xtina Carpenter
Location: Angel Dome backstage
Ultradragon might be down but they’re not out and looking to take the fight that would shine some light on how Sun’s dark secret got out. Brooke’s the likely culprit, but apparently not. Any guesses on who’s intervening on Brooke’s behalf?

Someone is not taking the news well. Vote to see what’s coming up next!
Well it wasn’t me.
Nor I. I assure you I have better things to do than scrounge through my colleagues’ dirty knickers (metaphorical or otherwise) for some fleeting advantage.
I am pretty sure Rose didn’t tell me that either, but since I was told to spill the bean to up the drama what could I do?
Methinks you all protest o’er much. Hmmm
NO CHEER FOR CATGIRLS WIN IN PANEL 1
YEAH CATGIRLS
MEOW CATGIRLS
YEAH CATGIRLS
MEOW CATGIRLS
I think you can’t hear the cheers because they were playing a song…Brenda relates to it BIG time!

But the cat came back, he couldn’t stay no long-er,
Yes the cat came back de very next day,
the cat came back—thought she were a goner,
But the cat came back for it wouldn’t stay away.
There’s only one person in a position to make that statement. I do believe Krystin is about to own up to what she did.
I’d like to congratulate the Catgirls on their win, but… to the extent that there exists such a thing as a “bad win,” I’d imagine that this is what it looks like.
*inspects with inspection tools*
I do believes you might be right Mr. Blitz.
*nod*
At least I didn’t have a group of wrestlers in league with management come down and do the dirty work.
I don’t know about that. There was no outside interference, no illegal foreign objects, no favoritism by the ref, and no sign of illicit catnip abuse. This was pretty clean compared to a lot of other matches.
That’s true. All they had to do was expose horrible, embarrassing details about Sun’s love life on TV.
A fact that gets brought up next update!
It’s really impossible to say for sure, but take out the secret reveal, and does anything really change? Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t and that goes to the real question of, ‘was it worth it?’
Time will tell because it’s too juicy to let go. 😉
Too too funny. Now how many angles can dance on the head of a pin?
Wouldn’t what they did to Sabrina be considered “outside interference?”
That is not a happy locker room.
Not at all.
*shakes head*
Some wrangling might be in order, post haste!!
**********
Baby ‘Brina Watch!
Sabrina-Ripley’s understanding of Rival Angels seems to be improving by the update!! Originally she just gasped, squeed or booed at the injustice of it all after some appropriate prompting from Mommy, but now she’s doing it all by herself XD
“Angels?” she now enquires frequently, much to the puzzlement of everyone but me.
*points out mommy’s back on the bottom panel*
The Chinese character that says Catgirls Rule?
Who are you calling a Chinese character?
I have no idea, I was pointing out Sammie girl in the second to last panel…
It is so excellent to see kids being raised correctly. XD
Wow they…lost the match. So what happens to the tag team now ? 🙁
Also, way to jump to conclusions ladies. As it seems that this time Brooke is innocent. Whoever spilled the beans better run fast before Sabrina and Sun catches up to them. 🙁
Yes for some reason I felt Sun had the battle for a moment but lucky for me she made a mistake that cost her the victory.
And yes the locker room door is locked and a private party is in progress.
Well, in their defense, Brooke was the only one they knew was in the know about it. They didn’t know that Krystine was in the stall in the bathroom when they discussed it
Gabrielle won’t be letting Sun and Sabrina out of being a tag team…you may remember that she FORCED them together and said that it would last until ‘she said so.’ They’re stuck as a tag team whether they like it or not.
The girls are trying to keep Sabrina from killing Brooke. Can’t have them shipping her back to Japan like last time she kicked her ass. And Xtina is looking like she’s going to kill “whoever” came in to the locker room to say who spilled the beans.
For the record, Atlas and Matsumora would love to have Sabrina back in BRA.
Xtina hasn’t even started. O_o
Your guess is as good as mine, but I can’t see anyone who’d get Sabrina that angry – except maybe Cocoa Rocco.
True dat. Only a few peeps can get Sabrina that riled.
‘Brina’s feelings are understandable. But I’m wondering how long she can keep up this behavior and not get sacked. She’s pretty much on the line, with management 50 percent against her, and it won’t take much to tip the rock.
This is an excellent question! Whatever could keep her from going over the edge?
Oh this is nothing new. It’s always something down in that cat house. If they weren’t wearing spandex, they’d be sporting stripes with ball and chain accessories.
I’m with MGC here. Yay Cat-Girls!
Booo Cat-Girls!
Booo I say!!
Can’t believe you posted a Booo Booo for all to see.
Me too: yay Cat Girls!
see? see? blame-Brooke-amania is runnin wild!
though apparently krystin has triggered brina’s super-saiyan mode in the VI
Wha-? I don’t see Krystin anywhere on the page. 😛
How do YOU know Brooke didn’t snitch, whoever you are!?!?
Completely valid point, but would Brooke take THIS opportunity to say otherwise?
I would guess that Krystin in the one who’s going to confess, but that be almost human of her. Not to mention but her right in the middle of that linch mob.
On another note. Amanda’s doing a great job as Brook’s body guard. Love the cowering look Brooks got as she’s hiding behind her human shield.
I’m gonna agree in that while Krystin is the most logical choice, her behavior lately doesn’t really add up with fessing up. Unless this match gave her some kind of epiphany, OR she decides to ream them for ‘getting their minds off the game’ it doesn’t really seem in character for Krystin at the moment to take responsibility for something like this.
Long story short — Krystin is really self-absorbed right now, and I’m not sure she’s hit the stage where she’d be willing to swallow her pride just yet.
Except that Krystin WAS looking rather distressed throughout the match. She’s self-absorbed, but she’s not inhuman. Plus, sooner or later, the guilty party would have been found. Better to own it and get the apology out of the way than hide and wait for the beating.
Remember, Krystin may be the Definition of Technician, but Sabrina is the better brawler, and she’ll be backed up by Sun, who is cruel at the best of times. These are not the best of times.
Pff what a fuzz for not that much :-). Ha it must be my beloved Krystin that will enter the room :).
Xtina has a hostile look. Curious if that’s for Sabrina or someone else?
This would be a weird time for Xtina to pick up that particular beef with Sabrina. She’s playing a longer game.
Panel one looks very nice: CATGIRLS WIN! CATGIRLS WIN! CATGIRLS WIN! CATGIRLS WIN! Yes I rubb that one in :D!
Panel 6: I’ll notice a hostile pose of Xtina too.
Danka you for being happy for us.
Could Callie have spilled the beans? She was in the box as well, in line for a title shot and wouldn’t mind poisoning the locker room against Brenda/Catgirls. Sabrina would trust what she would say and frankly, Def Tech would need to run away very quickly. Def Tech and Sabrina has never been friends.
Another member of Damage Inc. is the likely culprit, though. Yvonne has ears everywhere!
Hmmm, there’s a few tiny problems with that theory.
First, while I am of course brilliant, cunning, and and able to enact plans too complex for smaller minds to grasp, that’s a tad byzantine, even for me.
Second, in a question of my word versus hers, I’m not certain why Sabrina would trust me over Krystin. (Actually, if I were offering information to the Catgirls I didn’t want traced back to me, I suppose I could entreat them to falsely incriminate her, but again, this goes back to a rather byzantine plan for nebulous personal gain.)
Third, while I do indeed have access to the skybox where we presume the information was imparted to the Catgirls, I was not at the time pictured there. The only people that were seen were the Catgirls, Krystin, and Michael. Not proof, but a further point against your theory.
Finally, who told ME? I certainly wasn’t at that silly handegg game where people were passing that bit of knowledge around.
When I first read Anthony’s post, it made me smile because I think at the root of it, people like seeing Callie mixed up in it. XD
I think the 3rd point is the most telling…it would still need to be Brooke or Krystin who would’ve had to tell Callie, and I think would still fall on them. Of course, there is the possibility for the RUSSO swerve where it was actually Sun who revealed her secret to the Catgirls…
That’s a surprise. Usually blaming Brooke when something goes terribly wrong is a pretty safe bet! 😀
I like all the different expressions in the last panel, too!
Breaking character, that actually happened to me fairly often growing up…
“EMMA!!”
“What!?! I didn’t do anything!! I’m innocent I say!! INNOCENT!!!”
…and sometimes I was…
*nod*
I would’ve totally believed your innocence. 😀
I know! Not being able to go right to Brooke for blame is really going to throw things out of whack.
That last panel was a lot of fun. XD
Maybe the locker room was bugged?
