I know some of you will be upset by Hell’s Belles unsportsmanlike conduct, but you’re probably not surprised either. Disappointed, because Jen turned in an excellent match without any outside shenanigans, only to muck it up with this sort of behavior.
And poor Brooke..she’s just out of gas.
Who saw Wrestlemania? What were some of the highs and lows for you? One of the highs for me was Ronda Rousey! One of the lows was completely missing the Battle Royal. :/

She definitely leveled up.
I notice Jen wasn’t exactly leading the charge. A little tender, maybe?
Angel being able to assist in the beatdown is interesting too, considering she took a beating just two matches ago…
Would be really nice to see people show up to equalize this. Angel’s involvement would justify Sammie’s involvement – always good – while Krystin might object to Kat referring to herself as a “champion.” Or the other Upstarts and their DI friends could defend Brooke, what with helping her lately and all…
However it turns out, solid writing. Way to maintain momentum in the feud.
I also like what you’re doing with the art. Seeing more subtleties in positioning in the action sequences, and some challenging perspectives. Steady improvement, man. That’s fantastic.
While I may not be close by enough to make a difference (I get distracted!!), I will take the opportunity to point out that Hell’s Belles are currently 0 – 2 tonight.
No amount of posturing changes that.

Pointing that bit out, has caused Angel to add another notation on her, ‘Get Sammie’ notepad. XD
I wonder who I can convince to steal that notepad for me?
I wanna write humorous limericks in it. Maybe some drawings…
Angel would have a much easier time of things if she would just change that notepad to “Get Sammie a Cookie.”

Probably not, but this is wrestling, ‘tolerated’ seems to be the word of choice.
Let me change my question then. If this was Sabrina getting attacked, would Kat be allowed to get away with it?
The only reason it was an issue with the boss last time is that it took place in public and resulted in lasting injury. The Belles are sending a message, not mugging Brooke in an alley and trying to end her career.
What Sammie and Blitz said. It also depends on how out of control it gets.
Xtina’s gripe of late is that the locker room needs leadership, or rather new leadership and it’s acts like this that gets her out of sorts.
Yeah I’ve heard her grumbles. But it’s not fair in this case. I have a main event to focus on.
After that I’m happy to give Xtina a shot at me. Any time. Any place. Any style. But I’ll say this now. She can’t coordinate her wardrobe. What makes her think she can coordinate a locker room?
What a dirty last minute trick. The Belles are truly sore losers. 🙁

and i thought it’d take a bit more to take amanda down for long and the VI proves me right. actually from the positioning it kinda reminds me of when regal’s power of the punch backfired against the Big Show in his pre-WMD days.

Baby ‘Brina Watch!
Sabrina-Ripley isn’t quite as teenie as she used to be and it’s becoming rapidly apparent to us all that the Baby Bath isn’t going to be up to the task of cleaning Baby Bears for much longer. It has also, somehow only just, occurred to us that, well… we don’t actually have a normal bath either.
We have a shower.
No Bath.
While this is fine for Lori and myself, this might present a problem for Sabrina-Ripley and her lack of vertical stature. This, however, is a problem for tomorrow.
The problem for today is getting Baby Bear used to the experience. Today was day one and, and she was prepared to share a shower with Mommy, we spent a few minutes observing from a safe distance. She seemed content enough.
Next was to put a little baby hand underneath. No drama yet.
Finally we went in.
Wibbles were had, tears were shed, teenie, tiny hands were shaken and Baby Bears were in need of lots of hugging.
This might be harder than hoped.

Aww, poor Baby Brina. Don’t worry, she’ll soon learn how fun and splashy showers can be. And then when she learns how to draw on the steam-fogged panels… all will be good in Baby Bear land
Not sure where you’re at, but where I’m at, it’s getting pretty warm. Maybe squirt bottle games outside, to get her used to the idea that getting sprayed with water. Then maybe move the games into the shower stall before bath time, and play for a bit. Then eventually, integrate the shower head into the game.
At least, that’s my suggestion for easing her into the idea.

Ah, Baby Brina. I see the conundrum and I have hopes for an eventual happy outcome. 🙂
You want to think twice about holding her while standing in the shower to bathe her. She’d be slippery and might fall. I’ve heard some bad stories about the very thing. But on your knees might work ok.
Might also look at replacing a fixed head up high with a hose and head. Having the head closer with and adjustable spray worked well for me and my daughter. She got to spritz mama back too.
Dang, I’m surprised Jen can walk after all that. One would think she’d be back in the trainer’s room, getting taken care of with ice packs and staple removers. And Angel might wanna watch her mouth, making fun of Amanda like that. I mean, she lost to Sammie earlier in the night, and now she’s trying to pick a fight with someone 3 times Sammie’s size
I thought it might be a fun bit to have Jen running around with a colored neck brace but I thought better of it.
I think you have the mindset down of the Belles. They’re not exactly in the right mindset, are they? Frustration, expectations and tension has them on edge and this is their way of handling it.
I’m more surprised that Kat took the chance to sneak-attack Brooke. She’s in a number one contenders match tonight where at least 2 of them (McCourt, Victoria) will gang up on her. Callie can go either way. If the attack backfired, her title shot goes bye-bye. She can’t be hurt going into that match.
Also, she’s lucky that UltraDragon was prepping for their match and not congratulating Brooke. Otherwise, there could be a Belles/Upstarts 6-woman tag (with Damage Inc/Brooke) in the Upstarts corner.
Gutsy (or brain-dead) move by Kat.
Kat Smith: standing proudly like a colossus astride the line between “gutsy” and “stupid.”
Kat fancies herself as a tactician on par with Chloe. She has figured out that Brooke’s only true friend is Amanda and they’ve taken care of her. (Don’t look at the Voting Incentive). So, it’s an easy beating to lay on Brooke. Nothing could possibly go wrong, right?
Honestly, “ganging up” in this sort of match, if (when) it occurs, is nothing more than a temporary alliance, regardless of which two (or three) are engaging in it. There’s no such thing as second prize.
That said, another feature of that match is that it’s no disqualification, so yes, going out of one’s way to piss off Brooke and Amanda isn’t the brightest move on Kat’s part. It’s why I’m not out there helping them despite that rotten convict tramp stealing my finisher.
Not to mention a certain Fatal Fourway match with you, Kat, Victoria and Shannon!
This is what I LOVE about the Belles! this is such a classic pro wrestling moment!
