Chapter 4-Page-17-Driver’s Seat
Sabrina powerbombs Black Widow. I repeat, Sabrina powerbombs Black Widow. This will probably be the first and last time we see Sabrina do that to someone the size of Black Widow. XD And to add insult to injury, Sabrina speaks truth. Hard truth from experience. lol

Lolz
Sabrina only get applause..
no chanting..
HEEL COUNTRY!!
I believe the point has been made several times about the more reserved nature of the current crowd.
The Japanses are funny that way. If you want them to chant you need to have something to get them started then they go all out.
The Japanese are a bit funny like that when it comes to Puroresu. They’re quiet while watching the match out of respect for the wrestlers, since it’s not an easy craft whether you’re a face or heel. But they will applaude when someone does something quite impressive
Nobody gets chanting there.
Oh so not true. When I was there I had plants in the audience to get the chants going!
How can plants chant? They don’t have any mouthes. They just sit there and wave their leaves
WOW! GO, SABRINA!!
So nice of Widow to set herself up for that powerbomb, and Sabrina capitalizing on it was just beautiful. And she follows up with continued offense! Granted, it’s an ankle lock, but technically, it counts as offense…
You’ve got the leverage, Sabrina! Drag her back, away from the ropes! Make her work to get out of it! Make it last, and make it hurt!
Leverage is one thing, but Sabrina put on that hold pretty much in the corner. Black Widow has a lot of reach and it wouldn’t be hard for her to turn and reach the ropes. Sabrina was in the corner when she applied the Ankle Lock, meaning she’d be having to turn Widow into position to reach the ropes just to pull Widow away from them. It seems more a move just to psyche out Black Widow and do a little chip damage than anything else.
Leverage is one thing thing. Being able to pull the Widow back is another thing. I don’t think Sabrina has the strength of an Ant.
Got to agree with the kitten here. BW sticks.
“What does “Granted it’s an ankle lock, but technically it counts as offense mean”? I don’t know what to say except, well DUH … LoL
And Brenda is Queen of the DUH’s, so you know you have been DUH !
Low success rate, low damage technique that is easily countered or escaped. It is “offense” in the same way that nudging a golf ball off the tee accidentally and watching it roll half a foot counts as a “swing.”
Still, Sabrina’s got a leg to haul on, and a couple steps toward the center of the ring would put the ropes out of Widow’s reach. Ultragirl’s very strong, remember. Dragging not even 200lbs across canvas? Not challenging. Widow would have to find another way out. Easy enough, but even so, making her work for it a little would be better for Sabrina.
We’ll have to disagree on this. I’ve taken four taps with it and more converting to heel hooks. Brina’s got the figure four locked. She’s got the leverage. Brock Lesnar tapped to one. Nuff said.
You are right that Brina might pull BW from the ropes. But BW is close as others already noted. Makes for nice tension.
Oh, wow, the Ankle Lock War… the anger, the pain, the lolz… oh, God, the lolz… so hard to believe that was all five years ago…
Long story, but the upshot is, there’s a lot of people where I’m from who use ankle locks for very few reasons. To haze n00bs, to get space, and to troll each other.
The particular one shown above? I use it fairly often to call people out on being too defensive. No words needed. They know what I mean, now.
The initial game plan is to weaken Widow at any of her joints because if she can’t wheel or grab, she’ll have a hard time getting Sabrina down. Plus, this is a little bit of a way for Sabrina to catch her breath, after having it rudely restricted just before. 😉
Bitsy needs to get herself a whole new bag of tricks before she fades away.
You only need a few good moves if you’re able to hit them consistently.
She doesn’t need a new bag of tricks, she needs to focus on Sabrina and keep her close so Sabrina can’t do her tricks on her.
As for Sabrina, if Black Widow touches the rope, foot to belly nice and hard then get ready to attack again.
I think Snowy’s got the idea there and besides, if nothing else, we know Bitsy is resourceful.
Attaway! Sabrina recovers and even puts a leg hold on The Widow! Even if the bitch does reach the ropes, we’ll have a great match to look forward to.
Black Widow isn’t a bitch she is a python
XD
Kaci’s right, sabrina has done very little damage to BW and zero damage to the ankle, does she actually think she’s going to tap out just like that?
Kaci’s talking about Shamrox’s idea of going for the pin. The ankle lock probably isn’t intended to be a match-winner. It’s a method of attacking the ankle and slowing Widow down. More importantly, it’s a method of showing how the training montage has paid off – evidence of Cocoa’s contributions so far has been limited to Sabrina’s new swimsuit/ring gear. Can’t let elements from the training montage not pay off, after all.
Cocoa’s contributions could include ways to creatively exploit the rules while still retaining popularity. 😉
LOL
Oh while there might not be any physical damage to Black Widow’s ankle there is pyschological damage being done.
Well-said.
Sabrina’s smarter than that. She knows that Widow is too tough to tap to the ankle lock but they both know that the longer Sabrina hurts that ankle, the worse it is for Widow.
DAAAYUUM! That was awesome!!!
Spookily, I saw that near-exact move at a live wrestling show just last weekend. Except the girl that got powerbombed was at the time trying to belly-to-back suplex another girl from the turnbuckle. So the girl in Sabrina’s position got them both at once. (Triple-threat match, y’see.) Don’t know what you call that. Double-decker power-bomb? Anyway, back to ‘Brina – Gooo! Work that leg! Wear her down! Keep up the pressure!
*Starts a “This is awesome” chant from the back row*
Double powerbomb? NICE! Must’ve been something to see.
To bad that Sabrina didn’t attempt to fold Black Widow in half when she dropped her like that.
*CLAP-CLAP-CLAP*
Sabrina plans on pressing her advantage for all it’s worth.
btw, which wrestling show were you at?
Impact Pro Wrestling NZ. Very very low-budget operation, but some damn good wrestlers in my (un)biased opinion. 🙂 I’ll post some stuff about it in the forum.
AWESOME.
Experience does tell a lot about a person, and it seems that Sabrina got to learn that lesson the hard way.
Wasting time in a match is just how you establish yourself with the crowd. 😀
TRUTH.
Some people learn by watching and practice.
Some by doing.
Some by hard knocks.
Sabrina learns from pain and aggony.
Sabrina’s lost plenty of matches or found herself in a bad way from picking the wrong time to showboat, which is important to get over, to the crowd.
hehehahAHAHAHA! YES!! That’s my girl!
XD
Bring Back ‘Brina! BRING BACK ‘BRINA!
*records gold footage*
Bring back
Bring Back
Bring back my Sabrina to me!
to me!
Interesting chant not sure it is a keeper.
I don’t know, Kitten. Seems like the perfect chant for a British soccer game
B X 3!
😉
Reel her back in, Sabby! But, no chain to crab or something. You do not wanna’ get tangled up with BW on the mats
I hate do agree with Mo but she is right. Attack and keep her off balance and don’t let her get her mits on you.
Sabrina realizes that this is a golden opportunity…Widow off of her feet. !!
BW’s got a well noted weakness in her ankles. She’s turned them more than once. Good target lock, Brina.
But the VI? Scorpion kick? She’s full of surprises. And I think I see a tooth flying into low earth orbit.
That Scorpion appears to STING! When did blondie get so flexible?
Yeah for sure. I never saw her doing the stretches needed. .Maybe at home?
Page 4 of this chapter!! XD
Plus, she’s done stuff like split-legged moonsault before, and once did the splits to let Sun mist…Loretta, maybe?
No complaints boss. Sabby’s super kicks and roundhouses have been getting pretty high so I’m not questioning that she couldn’t work her way to doing a true Scorpion kick, just stunned she pulled it out.
Teeth flying? Then Sabrina will look like she is from Arkansas.
Keep the pain up.
Poor Arkansas…they get no love. lol
woohoo powerbomb as predicted! i got one right for a change! don;t see brina expecting the win on the ankle lock. no previous damage has been done to the ankle but now BW has to hold up her weight (and Brina’s when doing any power moves) on a leg that’s less than 100%. plus BW has the <ahem> size to drag brina to the corner.
and i see from the VI Brina’s learning to use her ultra-flexibility in an offensive manner as well. standing pele kick? <wonders if BW saw it coming> (TM Don West kinda)
i also expect to see Ian and cocoa leap into each other’s arms at some point leading to kaci demanding a match with Cocoa for teasing her big brother like that and force brina to be at ringside to show “where her loyalties lie!” (Translation: you’re in my faction so you BETTER be helping me)
So, I didn’t talk you out of the powerbomb prediction on Friday? XD
The kick…I think Trish might’ve done something like that before…but I don’t remember. Yes, using that flexibility to her advantage!
Are we shipping Ian and Cocoa? Because if we are…
hey if the ship gets Brina to angst more than i’m all for it. otherwise Ian keep your hands off my cocoa! ;P
Nice power bomb reversal by Sabrina, applying the ankle lock is a great strategy as well. Even if you don’t get her to tap you slow down her mobility. I’d still pull her back into the middle of the ring and grape vine if Angle style.
I’m assuming by the voting incentive though that doesn’t happen, that picture however confuses me greatly! lol Is that Sabrina’s own version of “Eat Da-Feet”? 😛
That’s the strategy! Grapevining the ankle would be pretty killer and maybe Sabrina’s going to go for it? I know the VI says otherwise, but maybe during the transition, Widow gets out. 😛
Eat De-Feet is a corny name but a pretty killer move. Sabrina’s VI move is definitely similar. *nods*
Nice Superbomb by Brina as a reversal. Now, she should grapevine Widow’s leg with her own leg and lay on the mat. Adds pressure to the leg and Widow won’t be able to reverse by rolling through or turning over and kicking Brina off
From there, the counter is grabbing their foot and twisting to the outside. They can get out fairly easy, but only by dropping the hold. It’s my go-to counter when held in place with a leg.
There are a few more counters I like to use for this one, but the ones you mentioned are enough. She needs to change the angle, cinch it down, drive Widow’s chest to the mat so she has no room to move.
Excellent strategy, which she IS following…and really that’s gotta say wonders, amiright?
Actually, can you imagine Sabrina grapvining the leg, clamping down the pressure and Widow *still* pulling the both of them along to get to the ropes? 😛
Honestly, with Widow’s size advantage and those guns she’s got sprouting from her shoulders, I can certainly see it. But it’ll most definitly tire her out more having to drag Brina’s body along with her. In her vertical position, Widow goes forward a bit, and Brina would have to move forward with her to keep her leverage on the hold.
I’m sort of regretting not putting that in. XD It would’ve been a great spot!
Yeah! Smoke her, Sabby!
Smoke without filter!
If Sabrina’s going to do more “scorpion” themed moves, she needs to add some facepaint. 🙂
“Scorpion themed”? I’m sorry, Ashley… but you seem to be looking at this from the wrong “Angle”
Just don’t want to be at the receiving angle for sure.
Scorpion kick is rarely all that harsh. But it doesn’t take a whole lot with the right path and between the eyes. And popping the nose or mouth is nasty.
It’s a new move and not sure if it’ll stick but Sabrina likes trying to pop the crowd. 😀
Popping the nose always hurts and at the least its a surprise maybe even a brief stun. Then, the Ultrakick should follow.
Wow…LOLZ. XD
I know the ankle is rather flexible, Sabrina needs to use her hips more and pull a Kurt Ankle.. I mean Angle… It’s true… it’s damn true… Wooo!
