It looks they’ve both have had just enough of this conversation. Who’s getting the last word?
You probably caught what the next wrestling match is going to be.
Voting Incentive!
Yep, that’s how things are going. Vote to see what’s coming up on Friday!
That is exactly the kind of question a person forgetting who they really are would ask.
That and I don’t remember my name or who I am.
Sabrina’s more interested in what Sun thinks of her at the moment. Could be some hard truth in that question.
That question potentially sets up for Sun to lay down a really big boom on the ol’ conscience.
I think Sabrina likes the idea of love more than the championship now.
Definitely possible.
Potential ninja-ing?
That “blowing Atlas” comment in the last strip should have been what really ended the conversation. And by “ended the conversation” I mean “caused Sabrina to kick Sun out”.
I’m astonished that Sabrina just took it and responded with a meek “I didn’t say yes.”
I can’t forgive Sun for that. Doesn’t matter if she’s making good points now. Doesn’t matter if she turns out to be right about Cocoa.
And considering how much of a shithead she’s been, it’s honestly going to kill me if she turns out to be right and gets to say “I told you so” later on.
Sun need to go back to tact school
what makes you think she ever went there in the first place ;P
I think Sabrina was still hoping to save the situation by not throwing Sun out.
Arguments are never fun 🙁
Sure they are. Now picture it, we both grab a dress and want it. So after playing the back and forth game of who it belongs to we agree to a dress off. We both get a chance to put it on and the one who looks the best in it gets to keep it. So off we go to a private room and as we argue over who looks the best in it things take a twist….
I’d be okay with that. XD
Sabrina is the only person that can answer that question. The reality is, who we are is dependent on our state of mind at any given moment. For Sabrina, this will be an interesting journey. Sun is at least partially right about BRA. Sabrina even noted that the wrestling card that evening had few women on it.
Well I am confused by BRA since I know that the Japanese love to see costumed women fighting each other.
Atlas and Takashi feel that BRA only needs a match or two per week. What the Japanese crowd REALLY wants to see is the male counterparts, according to them.
Well! Sabrina is just gonna have to help them adjust their attitudes!
Seriously Sun may be digging a deep hole even deeper if she keeps this up. 🙁
She not letting Sabrina get a word in edge wise and it may just cause so much problems for both of them down this slippery road. 🙁
I know Sun’s just looking out for Sabrina’s safety, but Sabrina can also take care of herself, right ? 🙁
No Sabrina can’t take care of herself. She is living in a soap opera type world and needs someone to cover her back.
It’s an ugly mess but the end of this fight is nigh.
ULTRAKICK HER NOW SABRINA!!
Listen to me..
Sabrina, as I’m your fan..
STAY IN BRA!!
STAY IN BRA
I SUPPORT YOU IN BRA SABRINA!!
even you have a match.. you’re still friends with them.. unlike with Gabrielle..
I will cheer for Sabrina in BRA!!
How could Sabrina resist heartfelt appreciation like this from her fans?
Brina – never ask questions you might not like the answers for.
at least Sun finally admits there’s ONE good reason for Brina to stay- that’s progress right?
Better yet, never ask a question in which you don’t know the answer
Brina’s a daredevil in the ring and with questions. XD Sun’s point is more of a question…would having a great boyfriend help keep Sabrina in Japan? Moreso than Cocoa?
“If you want to stay here for Yoshi…”? Huh? Is Sun off her meds?
There guys, I took the pressure off ya and said it out loud. LoL
“It must be That Time Of The Month!”
Snagged another one XP
Many women make decisions based on a significant other. But, is Yoshi a ‘significant other?’
Significant other, I think and not a boy toy. But Sabrina may not know that yet. She may not even realize it until she gets back to the States. Or, maybe this will lead her and Yoshi to form their own intercontinental wrestling company. Hmmmmmmmmmmm….
jesus christ Sun still going on her little tirade. seriously how does Sabrina stay friends with her?
Some ask Sun the same question. O_o
I know! Forget the fucking toe! Man…it’s so undudette like of Sun.
Big Lebowski FTW!
Sabrina needs to learn to be more offensive with her arguments instead of just letting the other one rant. Just what is she suppose to do, leave one friend that may stab her in the back for another that will stab her in the back?
No clear cut answer in sight. I read that making a decision is basically eliminating all other options. Which option won’t she eliminate?
I’ve got mixed feelings about this, Kobra.
On the one hand, if somebody’s really angry like Sun is, it’s been my experience that yelling back at them adds fuel to the fire, whereas being calm and reasonable can make the other person calm down. I’ve been on both sides of these kinds of situations.
On the other hand, everybody’s patience has limits. And sometimes, when somebody says something or acts a certain way, you need to let them know that they just crossed a line they shouldn’t have. Because if nobody ever tells them that there’s something wrong with they way they act, they’ll keep on acting that way.
The moment of truth, Sun. If you have anything deep and personal you want to confess to Brina, now’s the time to do it. Quick, someone get some fitting background music.
As long as the music is fitting for them to duel with katanas!
In that case, I recommend “A Battle Without Honor or Humanity” A bit cliche, but you can’t go wrong with the classics.
Katanas are over-used, cliche, and downright over-hyped. If you ask me, battleaxes are where it’s at. For one thing, you can do more with them than just swing them around. You can do that, you can hold them just under the head and punch your target, or if the blade has the right shape you can drive it up into your target’s jaw and pull back for a nasty finish. Also, being that they’re one-handed weapons, you can use two or one and another one-handed weapon or one and a shield.
Sun wouldn’t stab Sabby in the back. But she thinks she knows what’s best for her, and Sabrina might not agree. Thing is, Sun has gotten her bf out of a *lot* of bad spots, and it’s obvious she’s jealous of Cocoa. But what she’s unable to see is that something else, from Sabrina’s viewpoint, might be better for Sabrina. Whether it is or not.
Prediction? Sabrina will accept the contract. She’ll have a falling out with Cocoa, win in a big match, and then desert to return to the States. Much problems with contract breakage and coming back to Rival Angels. But I could be wrong!
All good stuff here so I will just sit here and nod with you. *nod* XD
I’d tell you what you really are, Sabby. However, I would hate to destroy the imaginations of children everywhere who accidentally come across this site in the near future due to my keyword use of the words ponies, bronies, cartoons, free, and candy in this post.
let me just ask one serious question. What is Sun’s problem? everytime Sabrina has a little success, Sun just turns around and yells at her like a 2 year old. I remember a few issues ago, it was Sun who said “the upstarts were a joke” and caused Sabrina to end their friendship the last time. seriously has Sun ever shown support to Sabrina’s career? seriously someone tell me
Sun’s been protective of Sabrina even when the two didn’t know one another all that well. (After Brooke admitted to trying to get Sabrina fired, Sun wanted to kick her ass.) Why that is exactly, I don’t know.
But as far as being supportive? I can’t think of any time Sun’s ever respected a decision Sabrina made if it were one she didn’t approve of.
And that’s the thing: it’s Sabrina’s life. If Sun has a problem with the way she wants to live it, fuck her. If Sun has a problem with Cocoa, she ought to go to Cocoa herself instead of demanding that Sabrina choose between them.
I’m taking a different angle at this. Notice the last couple of panels, Sun seems to be losing steam in her anger, though she’s persistent in her point of view. That’s unusual for her… Sun is very able to keep up a temper tantrum when in full rage mode. Also, look at Sabrina’s eyes. She’s on the verge of tears, literally.
I think Sun feels this time she really is on the verge of losing her best friend to a foreign land while losing her way. And Sabrina can sense that she’s at a major crossroads in her life… the question I think is relevant to both Sun and herself. She wants to know what Sun thinks she’s become, and I think perhaps she’s begun to wonder that in her own right.
A lot of folks here are being very harsh on Sun, but remember that this is a woman who is prepared to drop everything and jet to Japan to help her out. Yvonne just gave her the opportunity. She isn’t good at the touchy-feely stuff, that has long been established, but it is well documented at this point that her care and concern for her friend is very real and deep. She’s also the view of the outside… she hasn’t seen Sabrina in a while, and has noticed a real change between the girl who left and the girl in front of her, a change she doesn’t really like.
Jealous? Yeah, definitely. But completely off base? No, I don’t think so. Remember the end of the last chapter, Cocoa’s own rather clingy reaction to Sun’s presence. Is she a poisonous friend? Maybe not intentionally, but it can be argued that her influence on Sabrina hasn’t been all positive.
Sabrina is gonna have some huge success ahead of her and instead of being supportive of her “best friend” Sun literally just throws a temper tantrum. after everything these two have been through since the comic began, you kinda expect Sun to be more caring and kind with Sabrina but no she’s still the mean chick she was when she ENDED the friendship with Sabrina a few issues ago
See, the thing is that Sun believes that she IS being supportive here, of the ‘telling you what you need to hear’ tough love variety. She’s not very good at it, as her real concerns get drowned out by her anger… communication is not Sun’s strong point, except for the painfully blunt variety.
It’s kind of like high school, really. One where your best friend starts hanging around with the popular clique and they begin to rub off on them… they start caring more about their appearance and things that they derided as superficial not long ago. That’s what Sun is seeing. Of course, the same could be said regarding Sun joining Damage Inc, though she could respond that she’s always stayed true to herself.
I’m not a rabid Sun fanboy by any stretch. I’m willing to call her out when she’s wrong and in this case her confrontational approach is definitely wrong… her message has gotten lost in the vitriol. But her counterpoint to your assertion that Sabrina is looking at big success is that it’s not the sort of success that she said she wanted not long ago. It comes down to whether or not you believe that Sabrina’s shift in priorities is a good thing or not.
“You’re the woman I love! Dammit Sabrina, why can’t I quit you!”
