Chapter: Chapter 8 - All Fall Down

Amanda seems pretty confident in her decision much to just about EVERYONE’S surprise. Why do you think that is? And is Amanda making a mistake?

That would be funny. I don’t blame her for saying no. She is probably thinking if I lose a fight will I get ambushed?
Given that she’d been teamed up with Monica Rumble, a face, before joining up with Brooke, I suspect Amanda’s more of a tweener (with definite heel leanings) than an actual heel. She’s also possibly actually friends with Brooke, since I don’t think she’d have seen teaming up with Brooke as a better way to advance than staying with Monica (Monica had made it into the TV Tournament while Brooke didn’t have a solid win yet).
Also, she’s quite probably smart enough to realize that if she takes Brooke’s place, she could easily wind up in the same place Brooke is now.

That look on Kat’s face? That’s the look of someone who just realized the giant you thought were on your side doesn’t really like you that much. 😀
Think that is a look wait till you see the look on her face when I’m towering over her. Yes I have a match coming up with The Kat.
I think we’re gonna see the equivalent of making Hoss on BONANZA mad…!
I think we’re also going to see that a chair and a numbers disadvantage can quickly make size and strength a bit meaningless.

Well she may be big but how strong is she? Will any of the down people be able to help her? Or will the Belles say “Fine” and leave?

unexpected (to me) loyalty from Amanda… ok well technically she just turned down “Brooke’s spot” not say- someone else’s in the Belles. as was talked about many posts ago Kat seems to prefer the second banana role (or else why settle for letting Chloe call the shots) so maybe Amanda wants the top job.
even Brooke is shocked Amanda turned down the offer- which tells me what the answer would be were the roles reversed. also i have to chuckle at the VI-
Brooke: hmm i need something to push myself off of to get back to my feet. hey Krystin’s right here with a broken hand- i think i’ll use her.
I think it makes sense. She just saw how they treated Brooke for not living up to their standards, why join a group with that level of ‘trust’.
Still a great turn of events and I hope a good addition to the base cast.
Time for Amanda to show exactly how she got the nickname “The One Woman Samoan Swat Team.” I don’t envy the Belles….. then again. I NEVER envied the Belles
Remember that Krystin and Brooke are friends, so Brooke looking out for her girl does make sense. Also when Kat recruited Brooke she took advantage of the fact she had just been in a fight with a friend.
Amanda is saying no, but no to what? She dislikes Sun and Krystin so is Brooke really worth it. Or does she want a more safe position?
Last panel: looks like Amanda is turning against Kat. My suggestion for Kat: strike the first thundering blow or run & hide quick ;-).
The look on Kat’s face is saying “Oh, shit……”
