Chapter 9-Page-10-LittleHelper
It should be noted that it’s not against the rules for Krystin to go outside of Rival Angels for rehabilitation. Football, baseball, MMA stars do it all the time and are similarly tested for certain restricted performance enhancing drugs. However, if you were wondering why Krystin wants it ‘discreetly,’ you might have an interesting question on your hands.
If you don’t remember Topher, here’s a few reminders:

Topher is sort of liking this idea. Krystin might be rethinking her decision. Vote to find out what’s coming up on Friday!
Uh oh. That’s a dark winding road she’s about to turn down with many a twist between cup and lip, not to mention the the good ol’ UA.
The correct answer he should give her is NO
It is.
As it happens, ‘no’ was my…well…not be first word, apparently it was my second.
Maybe I should do it, I has lots of practice XD
It is a dark road.
Sammie not like.
*shakes head in disapproving manner*
Krystin must want to get healed quickly, she probably hates the idea of a interim TV champion.
Also, is she really going to be out so long that she wont be able to defend her title? If she isn’t, what’s the point of an interim champion? Is Gabriella impatient when it comes to putting the title around Sabrina’s waist?
Sabrina is the future boss’s pet and Krystin won the title with the roll-up of doom (read: boring ring style with no personality).
One of the better ways to get healed quickly and legally are those pressure chambers that deep sea divers use. Several pro football teams have them. You put a person in one for an hour or so a day with extra oxygen and pressure and people heal faster. Using drugs will only get you in trouble.
And it is amazing she is that worried about her job title that she is willing to risk everything.
You’re thinking of a Bariatric chamber and pure oxygen. And given sufficent time they work wonders for healing hard to repair wounds. But they don’t work overnight. And being a gorgeous and athletic female wrestler surely she knows this. So she is probably angling for a double header: Some red zingers for that extra “ummph” during the match and maybe some psychotropic drugs in case things still don’t go as planned…she just won’t care.
The use of a hyperbaric chamber might not work overnight, but it is legal, and Krystin has some time to work with. Would be an option far preferable to this one. Unfortunately, she appears to be comfortable with taking shortcuts that jeopardize her career.
Krystin hates that there’s an Interim Champion match taking place. I believe it was stated that rehabbing her hand would take 4-6 weeks. But, who knows how long it’ll take now?
For some reason, I’m flashing on that scene in NORTH DALLAS FORTY where a newbie football player with a knee injury sees a veteran taking a needle worth of something in his knee, insists on getting the same treatment, and gets a career-ending injury directly afterward.
Silly Kenny, steroids aren’t the same thing as Ultra healing.
South Park?
Huh. Hitting him up for healing potions, eh?
She used to be the TV champion, till she took a chair to th-*is killed*
Some people just don’t realize that it will hurt you in the long run.
Look for the red vial!
Suspension for Krystin will follow in a while… π . Whatever happens IΒ΄ll remain a fan of Krystin too (heel/ no heel) :D.
Danielle is from the U.K.?
She might get away with it. Do they test in the league?
C’mon, this is pro wrestling! The coaching staff probably is testing ’cause they want to be sure you’re taking all the ‘roids and zingers they’ve been giving you.
Danielle is NOT from the UK. More like the UP…Upper Peninsula. XD
Glad to hear that you got Krystin’s back!
Topher doesn’t seem to grown up at all since we last saw him. A shame. Letting a woman bribe and/or bully you into something wrong is childish. And he should know that doping to compensate for injury is not in Krystin’s best interest.
Maybe an injury of his own would remind him? I can provide…
You go for Blitz, hurt him to make him learn.
Uh-oh, I don’t like where this is headed. π
Especially in light of how many sports stars are busted for things like this.
Plus, going back to an ex-lover for help…. Can make anyone think that it couldn’t be over yet… Right ? π
I agree I don’t like where this is going.
And I think it is over because you don’t ask the ex to break the law for you if you love them.
Well, it is an interesting comment on the use of steroids in sports. The players and medical community are definately co-joined in what is happening. The only thing that is not being shown is the public. They don’t come to watch two women wrestle freestyle. They come and pay to watch wresting gymnastics and athleticism. They pay for spectical! Follow the money and it leads back to us.
Well, first off I’ll hedge my bet by noting that we don’t precisely know WHAT it is Krystin is requesting. That said, “medicine” for her hand, (the injury to which occurred on live television,) that she can’t get through RA and requires obtaining discreetly is certainly suggestive of steroids.
I will not defend Krystin if that’s her intent, but I can’t condemn her, either. I have never used them myself, and I do not intend to. The dubious benefit of temporary added muscle mass I’d be hard-pressed to maintain is certainly not worth the risk, and a quicker return from various injuries has not tempted me into their use either, but that’s me.
Krystin went from fearing for her job to television champion in a few short months. It’s only natural to fear that that injury could put her back at square one, even if we as readers have reason to believe that will not be the case.
It may be the wrong decision, but with so much at stake financially, professionally, personally, there’s little wonder to me that so many athletes in Krystin’s position do seek that extra edge.
Wrong is wrong, fear and temptation doesn’t change that.
You make a good point about her recent history adding to her insecurities. Her going back to see two-fer is an indication of it all.
Gabriella was fine with Krystin being TV champion while Sabrina was away, but now that she has returned, it looks like she’s getting replaced.
Good post Callie. I do doubt this is a request for legal meds but then again with the government helping us with medical care who can afford it any more?
I’d argue the problem is that it’s not helping enough. It’s “helping” by subsidizing for-profit private insurance and requiring the rest of us to buy into the system to keep the risk pool large enough to manage costs. It’s better than the “people not quite poor enough for Medicaid can sod off” plan the US had before, but this notion that health care needs to be managed by a for-profit middle man is baffling to me.
The US spends about 50% more public money per capita on health care than the UK, and that’s just public spending. The insurance premiums I and my employer pay for example do not count towards this. If you factor in private spending, the US spends 2.4 times per capita what the UK does. The result in the US is the mess we have now, while the result in the UK is the NHS, which is not without its flaws but remains viable universal health care.
Every Canadian, Brit, French and German person I’ve talked has said they’d go back for treatment if they got sick. That says it all doesn’t it?
I don’t have a problem with health CARE here in the US, which I’ve generally found to be of good quality, it’s insurance that’s batty. Requiring all treatment to be signed off on by a profit-taking go-between whose obvious incentive is to pay out as little in benefits as possible is insane when you’re talking about health care.
The kitten isn’t just clever, but insightful also. Blitz’s Snowy Fandom Index is on the rise!
Word.
What’s all this, then?!
The Motto of Scotland Yard X3
Pro-active? Maybe?
So how good she smell if it takes a long time to get her smell off of you?
Depends on where she’s sitting…
Laffs
Krystin is very close to being fired from my “people I’m a fan of” list.
*peeks over your shoulder to get a look at that list*
*hip checks you out of the way* Oooooo! ;;)
Oi! *rakes my fingers across your face* Try looking now!
*wiggles past you both*
Look at the ruckus you’ve caused. *approves*
I can understand that, this may not be her finest hour.
Krystin.
*shakes head*
Bad Medicine.
BAD!!
*SWATS Krystin’s back of head!!*
Topher deserves a smack up side the head for that “mocha smell” crack alone.
Dude — it doesn’t rub off on you. And it’s not a STAIN, so enough with the “dry cleaning” s***.
Dumbass white boy privilege.
If there’s a douche-bag jar, he should be contributing to it.
She looks like a fish in the second to last panel.
I hated that I had to cover her nose. π
Word Balloons are the bane of wrestlers everywhere.
They are.
*nod*
Actually, I’d say it was the mouth/lips that brought about the fish-effect.
Is…is she juicing!?!
I am surprised… nay, shocked! I’m shocked that you didn’t ask if she’s juicy π
Juicy? I believe Krystin owns a pair of shorts that reads that on the back. XD
And there goes my last remaining respect for Krystin.
Brooke has a matching top that reads, ‘tasty.’ π
See, I actually expect that from Brooke, so it doesn’t make me like her any less. She’s pretty much bottomed out on that particular scale.
I thought Brooke’s top read “Good ‘n’ Plenty”.
‘Tons of Fun?’
I should say that the girls don’t normally wear that particular gear out. Just kicking around gear for home. (Based in part, on a pair of wonderful ladies I know).
The US health care system is a mess, and a very very bad joke. IF I got sick i’d try to go to Canada..
As to this roids are a bad bad idea due to long term negative effects..
If you think the Canadian health care system is better than ours, by all means, use it. Have fun waiting all day for treatment behind everybody with a stuffy nose. Hope you don’t have anything serious. It can take months to get an appointment, where you’d have one in a day or two in the US. Granted, if you want top-notch care, you’ll have to have insurance or pay out-of-pocket, but no competent doctor is okay with working for government-dictated rates while trying to pay for medical school and malpractice insurance, so that level of care tends to not be available in countries with government-run health care. Right now, Canadians with money come to the US for treatment. Soon, they’ll be going to India, because our health care system has been coming apart at the seams since 2010.
Well at least the Canadians don’t get the luxury of being denied healthcare by some corporate hack looking to get a bonus. Or delayed treatment by a doc looking for a bonus or denied insurance due to pre existing conditions, or given substandard treatment because real insurance is too costly or….and there is soooooooo much more crap Americans have to put up with than our Canadian friends regarding healthcare.
Exactly!
Oh geez. I think Krystin’s about to violate Health and Wellness Policy that Rival Angels has. (It still makes me piss myself laughing that the guy in charge of that in the WWE is Lex Luger)
Gee you know the Belles used to shoot up a lot. A mean look at Kat for cryin’ out loud. It’s why Chloe had to work hard to cover their butts.
But, I’m more worried about Krystin’s diet. She’s wasting away. Girl used to have some hips and was a little thick…
