Commission Monday- Push and Pull
Here is a commission between FAWN superstar and longtime veteran Sydney Deschain and Xtina Carpenter. These ladies represent a lifetime of skill and fighting technique so it’s fitting that they’re tied up in a Collar and Elbow tie-up.
Here’s a little bit of my process:
I first sketch it out to make sure I have all the general placements and idea in place. I use the blue because it’s different from the other colors I use and makes it easier to keep things straight.
After everything looks solid, I then add the flat colors. I use flat colors and save it on its own layer because it makes changing or editing any colors later on a snap.
The final is a product of adding some special effects and my own usual coloring. 😀

PATREON is a crowdsource funding platform to enable fans and readers to support their favorite artists and creators. I’ve finally decided to create a Patreon page with the main goal of investing those funds back into the comic. Have all of the books already? This is a great way for you to help support Rival Angels.

TopWebcomics, OR, the Rival Angels Facebook Page. Whichever one you use, don’t use, use both, neither, it’s all good.
That’s a very technical handful of hair that Xtina has there right?
It’s a Technical Hairpull.
I always have trouble with this hold for some reason but yours came out really good.
Thanks! I suppose I was inspired. XD
I like the subtle variance over the classic form. The vine over Xtina’s left arm and the palm against her face work well the the bit of hair she’s pulling.
I also note that Scuffles couldn’t get the hair tug on Callie. She can’t reach that high. *Ducks!
I was working from specific hand/arm placements so I’m glad it worked out. 😀
Scuffles could totally tug Callie’s hair with a boost or a step ladder. XD
Could? Sure. Should? *eyes Scuffles menacingly*
I think I would just kick her in the knee a few times first!
It wouldn’t make me any shorter :p
Isn’t that why they had little stools in the corners for boxing? So the short guys and gals could use them to hit the taller guys and gals?
