Chapter: Chapter 6 - Rules of Engagement
Location: Angel Dome arena, Angel Dome backstage
Well, Brooke didn’t get to leave the arena before getting the news that Gabrielle wants to see her, but it seems that Brooke is pro-active in keeping her chances alive with Rival Angels. It would be a rotten shame if Brooke ‘shows ‘ Michael what a team player she is and find out that he’s got zero pull with the boss!
But then again, maybe Brooke wants to discuss some ideas that will make her marketable AND more successful in the ring? Well, you never know….
New Voting Incentive! It’s still a work in progress, but getting closer to completion. When its done, I’m thinking it might go in that right side vertical banner spot. Thanks for voting!!!
Discussion (15) ¬
Well, it LOOKS like she’s dragging him off for a round of casting below the belt… Either that, or she’s setting her plot to get Sabrina dropped in motion. Either way, she needs a boot to the head! She should be put in a ‘Loser Leaves Town’ match with Rival Angel’s equivalent to WWE’s Victoria… Or Canada’s Lufisto! YEah, Lufisto works.
Anything? Would she shave here head? Get a double mastectomy? Actually become a decent person? No, no, I don’t think she will do anything. 🙂
I was actually thinking he might not have any pull before you said it. Now that would be funny. Besides, what if he’s not interesting in her ‘teamwork’? Look at her face in that last panel, so confident; it would crack me up to no end if he isn’t interested.
On a different note, I love the different angles in each of the panels. Brooke’s overacting is hilarious. And where exactly did they go? I mean, really! It would be funny if Brooke picked the wrong room to go into.

Forgive me for I am a bit talkative today. Making up for so many missed posts, I guess.
Typical Brooke or person like Brooke response. And more than likely the little weasel Welker (Hey he is letting her do this, besides a person has to have some standards after all, no matter who they are) more than likely does not have any pull with the “Commish”.
It would be very funny if Brooke just happens to find the stairwell to the Executive suite. What would be even better (my opinion) if they walk into the Executive suite and Commish Gabrielle instantly knows what is going on. She then tells Brooke that if she wants to stay in Rival Angels, she will have to face her in the ring. Brooke being over confident, gets, well trashed by the Commish and either kicked out, only to be a foil to the Sabrina character as a stalker and outside the arena attacker (Street or back Alley fight?). Or she gets sent back to the minors and in the meantime the reders find out more about the Commish, something like she was the original Rival Angels champion and used both that money and leverage to become the Commissioner, and maybe even majority partner/owner in the Rival Angels production. She could be Sbarina’s mother secretly (I know really lame idea), or she could be her secret sponsor, because she sees so much of herself in the Sabrina character. And she wants to groom Sabrina to take over for her in the future.
As for Sabrina, I still cheer for the character, but I think the character should take a real beating this match, barely pull out a win, and then really get beat on by the three bimbos later on, in the matches “tonight”. Granted maybe the character is too full of herself, because she is a typical young person. Or maybe because she has finally made it to the major leagues. But one would have thought that the minor leagues would have taught anyone, that no matter what you think of your foe, you should over estimated them and plan for them being better than they are, so you are not surprised, by under estimating them.
I don’t think he’s going along so much as being pulled along. Look at his face. He’s dazed. He’s not getting time to react. She’s steamrollering him.
I admit, I am curious about what she’s got in mind to show she’s a team player. I doubt it’s what it looks like. If it is, it’s a good way to get fired. I don’t like Brooke, but that would be a terrible way to go.
Hopefully, it’ll be something that -could- draw Krystin along and she’ll dodge a bullet, giving Ms. Rini reason to set up the match and we can finally see what Krystin can do in a real match where she’s had a chance to build a gameplan. So far, she’s not been in anything that she could shine in.
HAHAHAHAHA! This made me laugh 🙂 Brooke’s reaction is so funny. I think Michael is about to get a full on demonstration of Brooke “boob job” finisher as a new idea.. either way im sure shes using her female “assets” to get her way 🙂
I wonder why Brooke got shocked and panic on panel 3-4. why is she’s afraid? afraid of getting scolded by Commisoner Gabrielle..
I guess, Brooke self esteem is still on.. that’s good on Brooke.. I thought Brooke will kinda accept her fate like.. if Brooke’s getting fired it’s find with her.. but Brooke still like to stay in Rival Angels even with straight loss
Here’s a question
What is a team player got to do in Brooke’s problem? she’s not going to compete tag team competition, she’s an individual wrestler.
Panel 6: could it be? what the? What is Brooke thinking, is she trying too.. (Ahem).. or maybe they’ll play quarters again.. ahhahah 😀
I’m curious what room did Brooke drag Michael in? is that a locker room with no one’s in it?
could it be a karma too Brooke.. I remember Brooke used Vicent, to make Sabrina sleep with Vincent to get Sabrina fired. could it be backfire.. Brooke with Michael.. and now Brooke’s carreer is hanging on balance? what going around comes around..
by the way, Is Loretta still locking on Sabrina’s left arm? I estimate it.. I think it’s been around a minute already, Loretta locking Sabrina’s left arm..
I just noticed.. Looking at Brooke, she’s kinda okay, I think she’s got injured from the match.. I wonder, why she tap. looking at her now, she’s perfectly well.. Brooke is not suffering pain.. hmm
count it be? Brooke don’t have the will to hold on, on the match, or excerting more effort to escape the catgirls hold? looking at panel 1 and panel 2, she’s find.. and by the way, no medical staff went to check on them, so I bet their okay..(I just guessing)
What’s inside that room? hmmm.. could it, Sun got knockout by Brooke? I mean Sun lying on the ground unconsicious? or maybe both Catgirls are unconsicous..
Brooke will prove a point to Michael that’s she’s one dominant force in Rival Angel, even though it loss. coz looking at Brooke now, she still have lots of energy, it’s like she’s still fresh..
hmmm.. I wonder?
SyntheticPhylum, it’s very possible that Brooke intends to hit both marks you brought up. 😛 Lufisto is way cool, I got to see her at the last Shimmer show and she was awesome, especially in her match with Cheerleader Melissa.
A Mouse, all points that you brought up are things that Brooke is unwilling to do, so yes, ‘anything’ doesn’t mean anything. XD Brooke is taking a risk here that if she’s right about why Gabrielle wants to speak with her AND that Michael can help in that. If she’s wrong, that would be one crazy backfire. I’m thrilled that you enjoyed the page. 🙂 As far as where they went, we’ll get an idea in the near future.
Mike, the floor is always open to you. And wow, those are some wild details in that scenario, I especially like the part where they accidentally get lead into the executive suite with Gabrielle. XD The complications with Gabrielle’s past are equally intriguing. Hmmmmm…. Last we saw Sabrina, her arm was getting worked over pretty good and you can be assured that the rest of the match is going to be as rough.
Well put Salazen! Steamrolled indeed! Brooke is taking a big chance here, assuming the worst from Gabrielle and assuming that Michael can help. Clearly, she’s got it in her head that her losing streak and a meeting with the boss are not good things. As far as Krystin goes, I will be eager to get your opinion the next time we see Krystin in the ring, which admittedly won’t be for a while. But when she does, we’ll see if she can show her stuff.
Glad you liked the page Matt! Brooke definitely knows how to use her charms to their most effectiveness, maybe even stealing a move from Jillian Hall like the Boob Job. I’m not sure how much Michael would refuse, but to be fair, we haven’t seen enough of Michael to really know what the guy is made of.
MGC, I don’t think I’m spoiling anything by saying that Brooke is fearful of her job right now and that’s why she’s going to the perceived extremes that she is. Quarters, yes could be, or a variation of that. Or, like you suggested, maybe she laid out some wrestlers and is pointing it out to Michael. That would be a grade A swerve if I’ve seen one. Brooke doesn’t have any lingering injuries from her match with The Catgirls, but she was twisted to the point of submission. Oh, and Loretta still has Sabrina in that arm hold.
Heh. Maybe you should send an e-mail off to Lufisto, asking her if she’d mind a guest spot as a character in Rival Angels! She IS the ‘Hardcore Super Anime,’ after all!
Brooke is totally in character here, the first thing she does is think “Oh neat, Michael wants to see me! Activate Pick Up Men in Bars mode!”
Brooke’s look of shock in panels three and four is her greatest “What??!!” moment to date.
Then it’s Michael’s turn for a shock moment, he has an expressive face that’s fun to watch. We don’t know much about him and it looks like we’re gonna learn more…
Dudes! Don’t forget Loretta’s still pulling Sabrina’s arm off in the ring… after a point hitting her elbow isn’t going to make it hurt any worse, that has to have happened by now!
This entire scene reminds me of all those small scenes from WWE broadcasts where two wrestlers or (as in this case a wrestler and an official) just happen to run across each other in a corridor and exchange some words, and there just happens to be a running camera present to record their encounter for TV … but of course no one would ever imply that these encounters could be staged … no way! 😉
That being said, I don’t think Brooke’s plan right now really is what it appears to be, simply because that would be way too obvious…
Oh, by the way… I e-mailed Lufisto and sent her a link to this comic. I hope she likes it!
RDF, those are some great observations, you nailed it! You got Brooke and Michael down completely and I’m happy you enjoyed the page. And as far as Sabrina’s arm is concerned, you’re right on about that, but its still taking its toll on Sabrina, body and mind.
I know what you mean JackAce, I think that got kinda big in the late 90’s with the nWo and DX doing their thing. Hogan in his dressing room or Nash on the phone, saying, ‘Scott,’ every other sentence. (Okay Scott, come to the back, Scott), knowing full well that nobody is on the phone. 😛 Expect a bit of a swerve with Brooke’s plan… honestly, I don’t know how big it is, but there is a swerve coming.
SP! Good looking out with Lufistio, she’s so cool.
