Oh snap! Sabrina crash and burned on that one, wrecking herself on an all or nothing Shooting Star Splash from the inside of the ring to the outside. Its a safe bet that Loretta isn’t going to take it easy on Sabrina from here on in and remind Ultragirl why she’s lost to her three times before.
Sabrina’s down, the crowd is out of it and Loretta is back in control. Can Sabrina come back from this?
Check out the wicked example of the Shooting Star Press!

Don’t forget to check out the latest Voting Incentive too!
As much as I like Sabrina, I still have to say it serves her right. She shouldn’t have done that kind of move outside the ring. It’s not going to be perfectly save inside the ring, but outside of it is just nuts. The last time she pulled a similar stunt she hurt herself, too. When’s she going to learn?! I don’t think it’s over yet, but if she keeps doing stupid things like that, she’s going to lose.

Typical high flier. If you take a lot of chances, you’re going to crash and burn often too. The best thing Loretta could do now is toss her in, hit a pedigree, and run with the victory.
Thing is, if she’s a typical wrestler, she’s going to inflict more punishment before rolling into the ring to break the ref’s count and then work Sabrina over more. With a wrestler like Brooke, that’s a good strategy. Power wrestlers don’t get the same explosive recovery that fliers do. They -can- come back, but they do it like Hogan used to, by a clear and obvious ‘pumping up’ process. Fliers seem to recharge as they get worked over and are at the weakest right after missing a big move.
Sabrina is going to get beat up, but she’ll pull through if Loretta doesn’t end it fast, and I just can’t see it. If it’s like a typical match, Sabrina needs one more rally trat gets cut off fast before she can turn it around totally, but who knows. I look for the turn to come after a whip to the ropes to set up a clothesline or something. Maybe she can hit a crucifix and surprise Loretta, or a luchador style twirling armdrag, even if that would be almost impossible to draw. 😉
On a different topic, I was looking at the incentive art again and it made me wonder…. has Brooke’s nose been broken? She’s got quite a schnoz on her for a woman, unless it’s been broken before and I figured I’d ask.
I wonder if we’ve got another rivalry from the training days in Brooke and someone from her past that could tie into that for a later story arc? Wouldn’t that makde for some interesting tag action later? Sabrina and Brooke v Loretta and Brooke’s rival?
YEAHHHH! In your face Ultragirl! 😀 Im glad Sabrina missed, but what a impact. BAM! Then the chop is awesome.
Loretta needs to pick Sabrina up and use a huge move to take her out for the pin, then the carnage can begin. Grab a chair and really lay into Sabrina, and as the match is over.. no DQ!…. (is it obvious i dont like Ultragirl LOL) Maybe Loretta hits Sabrina with a splash of her own, right across those injured ribs 😀
Anyhow, great page Albone, the first panel is really great
*off topic request* – Any chance you could put all the pages so far into a zip file so we could download them? and also, any news on the artwork comission?
Gracias… Gracias.. (Thank You, Thank You)
“Latina Chick” Loretta Diaz, get out of the way..
Panel 1: Sabrina really copied, a “Shuriken elbow” (Atomic Fusion) style but here she used her body rather than elbow. HOLY SH**, HOLY SH**, HOLY SH**
Panel 2: How painful was that? I couldn’t say.. I can tell it, it will take out breathing, it will mak you hard to breath.
How come the table didn’t break into half? usually in WWE it breaks. I mean no more table for the commentator,
Panel 3: one guy, wear purple shirt with Rumble sign.. is that a Royal Rumble T-shirt? or Monica Rumble’s merchandise.
Panle 4: Look at Sabrina, as if she can’t stand.. I will say “Sabrina is on spaggetti legs.”
Panel 5: WHOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Let Go Diaz!! Clap Clap.. Let’s Go Diaz
“Latina Chick!!” “Latina Chick!!”
Come on “Latina Chick” Loretta Diaz!!
If this were Mortal Kombat… I will to the “Latina Chick” Loretta Diaz.. “Finish Her !!!”
Then Loretta hits 3 “Diaz Drop (Pedigree)” on Sabrina…. then Loretta raise her hand..
“Latina Chick” Loretta Diaz Wins..
Brutallity!!!! Hhahahaah.. :grid:
Panel 4: Look at “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini, weak, helpless, defeated, totally unconscious. .HAHAHAHHAHAH…AHAHAHAHAH… 👿
Destroy Her “Latina Chick” Loretta Diaz… Finsh Her.. 👿
put “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini in her first loss in Rival Angels.. and answer Sabrina’s question on episode 97.. “Ready to get beat?” hahahah..
If Loretta quickly hits Sabrina the Diaz Drop (Pedigree) now, outside the ring.. then quickly rolled Sabrina in then another Diaz Drop (pediree) inside the rig, surely “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini have her first loss.. ahhahahah..
👿
“Latina Chick!!” “Latina Chick!!” “Latina Chick!!” Loretta Diaz..
let’s say. Sabrina got the momentum back on her, then prepare the ultrasplash. if she hits the “Ultrasplash” on “Latina Chck” Loretta Diaz. I’m sure it will puts more damage to Sabrina, than Loretta. coz Loretta’s chest in pain, even with an ultrasplash hits, surely it will damage both Loretta and Sabrina at the same time.
in sometimes, Sabrina can’t even pin Loretta if that pain begins to bother Sabrina.
Like Sabrina hits the “ultrasplash” she’ll just bounch out and holds her chest coz of the pain, and just slowly crawled pin Loretta with an arm on Loretta’s chest. if Loretta is clever enough Loretta might hang her foot on a rope.
I just say.. Gracias.. Gracias.. for giving Loretta a chance..
So Sabrina dominate only 55% in this match..
Come On “Latina Chick” Come Loretta Diaz!! Come On…
“Latina Chick” Loretta Diaz
😯 Right now, Sabrina is definitely much worse off than Loretta…
I’d say that’s the end of any high flying maneuvers for this match. Any body-to-body impact moves Sabrina were to attempt now would surely do moree damage to her than to Loretta.
But Ultragirl has other tricks up her sleeve as well. Loretta may be the one triumphing right now, but she still hasn’t got this match won yet.
My predictions for the next moves:
Loretta attempts the Diaz Drop/Pedigree, Sabrina squirms out of it, grabs Loretta’s legs and turns it into an improvised Power Bomb.
Next Sabrine heads for the opposite ropes to get a rebound, and depending on Loretta’s status goes for either a Running Ultrakick (if Loretta is standing by that time) or a low Dropkick/Baseball Slide (If loretta is still on the ground/getting up.
The Ultrakick alone might be enough to knock Loretta out for the moment, so Ultragirl can pin her.
The Dropkick should quickly be followed by a DDT, or even a Pedigree (wouldn’t that be a nice act of disrespect against Loretta?) to keep Loretta down for a three-count.
Oh, and thanks for the list of available Smileys. 😀 XD 8)
I’m not sure if this is technically feasable, but it would be nice to have an abbreviated version of that list at the bottom of the Comments page for quick reference while typing a comment…
JUst wrap up the damned fight already…I don’t give a rat’s-royal-rumpus who wins by this time, I just want to see it over and the story move on to something else already.
I second E.E.’s sentiment, even though I don’t agree with his attitude…
Brooke and Krystin’s match was basically glossed over in a single page. Sun got two-and-a-half pages worth of “screen time”. (In both cases only counting actual fighting shots). Sabrina’s match is now stretching on over 11 pages! There needs to be at least one more page to bring this match to a finish, and I expect rather two or three…
Sabrina may be your main character, but she’s not the only one with fans. For future fight nights, I suggest a more balanced distribution of screen time.
Taking tonight as an example, Brooke and Krystin’s fight could have filled two pages instead of one, Sun could have gotten five pages instead of three, and Sabrina’s match shouldn’t have exceeded ten pages…
A Mouse, Sabrina took a chance and if she would’ve hit that move, you have to think that she would’ve put Loretta away. The problem with a high risk move like that is you’re going to miss eventually. I think Sabrina will learn too, this is her third match so you can bet that she’ll pull it together.
Salazen, I think you’re on the money with your observations. I agree with you on the tendencies of the different types of wrestlers and its very possible that we see some of what you wrote happen. !! And don’t forget that Loretta has that mean streak too. Brooke’s got a big nose, but it hasn’t been broken (yet) and if it did, I think she’d spring for some cosmetic surgery. ALL of the girls have had Rivals in the developmental leagues but I’m not sure if and when we’ll see any of them.
Matt, glad you liked the page! Loretta is a mega-bitch but she’s not the type of wrestler to keep beating you up after a pinfall. She’ll gloat and rub it in your face, but she wouldn’t pile on the hurt and certainly not with a chair. I am looking into making Rival Angels available for download via pdf and cbr, and I’ll keep you updated on that. I can honestly tell you that your art commissions have moved into the blueline stage, but I won’t get back to it for a little bit. I went to WWE Smackdown/ECW last night and I have a two day comic show this weekend, so time is tighter than a drum. I really am pushing to get that finished soon, thank you very much for your patience, Matt.
MGC, definitely shades of the Atomic Fission in panel 1 and its a nod to her friend. 😉 The table didn’t break because Sabrina is half the weight of WWE guys. Good catch, that fan is wearing a Monica Rumble T-shirt! I don’t know that three pedigrees are necessary when one would do but Loretta is a mean one. Both girls are looking to prove a point here and it almost seems that the TV tournament is an afterthought right now.
JackAce! Honestly, Sabrina’s not even thinking of any high flying moves right now, she’s barely on her feet but your point is rock solid. I like your predictions for what could come in this match, solid theories. LOL, a Sabrina to Loretta pedigree would be pretty slick but really, that’s light years away from happening at the moment. Glad you liked the smiley list and its a good idea about trying to include them with the comments. Give me a minute to see what I can do.
EE, I hear you and thank you for your patience! Honestly, I can understand where you’re coming from but I didn’t want to rush this match as its the biggest of Sabrina’s career. Without spoiling anything, I can tell you that the end is near, and that we’re in the final act of this match. In the future, I think I’ll be a little more conservative with the match lengths. Thanks for the comments!
Ninja’d by JackAce! Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate them. Sabrina’s got the page count that she does because it’s Loretta. Her matches with Danielle Perfection and Susy Love, for example, were nowhere near as long, but I do understand where you’re coming from and will definitely apply that to future matches and pages. Storyline wise and match wise, we’re going to see a more balanced approach to our favorite Upstart Girls.
I enjoyed this wrestling comic and fellowed it every three days. And I do believe in Sabrina and believe she going to win this match. But I do worried about her (little ayonnied with some people bad commenting on her) but I know she get though this, she does remind me of some wrestlers in shimmer.
Thanks for making this great comic, keep it up. (This is my first comment).
Hey Adam B! Welcome to the comments, thanks for chiming in and please do so again. Thanks for the kind words too! I empathize with you on the Sabrina-bashing but you believe in Sabrina, so its all good and the good part is that you’re not alone. 🙂 SHIMMER rocks!! Looking forward to the show next month. 8)
Well, I don’t know if Sabrina’s gonna come back from this one. If she does, she really is an Ultragirl. I’d like to see her win, but it’s hard to see after this maneuver.
I see her coming back easily. Look at other risk takers for examples. Jeff Hardy for a big name example. He’ll dive off ANYTHING and if he isn’t pinned fast after a miss, he finds a way to come back.
Because of her mean streak, I don’t see Loretta taking the easy win while she has it. In fact, I can more easily see her going for a pin and pulling Sabrina up to beat on her more. It’s a classic bully mistake.
