Chapter: Chapter 6 - Rules of Engagement
Characters: Loretta Diaz, Sabrina Mancini
Location: Angel Dome arena
Loretta is getting a little cute here trying to get a submission out of Sabrina instead of going for the pin, after all, Sabrina isn’t able to fight back for this entire page, which involved being picked up, rolled into the ring and then locked into the camel clutch.
However Loretta is really trying to stick to Sabrina and make this the exclamation point in their rivalry and leave no doubt who the better woman is.

And the hair is talking again; Sabrina’s hair looking all messed up, Loretta’s looking good. Except for that last panel. What could it mean? 😉 Guess I’ll just have to wait to find out.

Panel 2: nice angle, first time I saw here in Rival ANgels. Still Loretta’s dominating.. I sense fear on Sabrina right now.. Look at “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini’s face.. I smell Fear within Sabrina.. could it be flashback?
Panel 3: LOLZ.. Loretta insults an “Ultragirl” Fan in the arena.. speaking about the article Albone gave me the link. Thanks for the link. hmm.. about “Cool Heels” Loretta surely doing her job as heel..
Panel 4: hahahhaha.. Look at “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini screams in pain.. and what an camel clutch. a la “Iron Sheik”. throw the towel in.. I kinda remember this, happen.. Bob Bucklund VS Iron Shiek. throw in the towel..

This is what I like in this comic now, giving chance both wrestler. equal opportunity.. Sabrina dominate this match now down to 50% not like last time, Sabrina dominate all 100%
That camel crutch, will injure more to Sabrina.. now, Sabrina have to handle two pain within a week, So I guess no party in Lollipop.. panel 5 and panel 6. I estimate time of pain is 10 seconds.
next episode. Sabrina won’t tap out… Sabrina won’t tap on in this..
1. Camel Crutch isn’t Loretta’s finishing move, so in which Sabrina won’t tap out.
2. there’s an counter to a camel crutch.
3. I’m think Loretta will release the hold, soon.. or maybe pulling the hair. in which the referee will count, so there’s no choice for Loretta will release the hold.
4. Definitely Sabrina will.. “WILL” try to counter it, but sometimes.. the pain is too unbearable in which can’t think or focus on how to counter in which leading to tap out. another is that hold is lock to tight even trying reserve and escape is impossible, that another way, for tapping out.
(Possible)
5. Sun will run into the ring, maybe faced Loretta Diaz, maybe abit diversion. then Loretta will release the camel clutch, and walk towards to Sun. in which Sun just back off. there Sabrina can make an offensive from behind. a german suplex maybe.
let say Sabrina still don’t have the “power” to mount an offense. Loretta will go for the pin, and surely Sabrina will get out.
could it be
“Shinobi” “Lil Dragon” Sun Wong VS “The Latina Chick” Loretta Diaz (On the next Monday night Meltdown)
let’s say Sabrina going for the kill. “Ultrasplash” with that injured ribs. it will be more pain for Sabrina than to Loretta, I would say.. Sabrina will have an injured ribs if she don’t the “ultrasplash”

MGC, its certainly possible for Sun to do a run-in or to cause a distraction. If I’m not mistaken, we’ll see Sun before we see Krystin, but not before seeing Brooke.
Out of the episodes to date, I think this is the one with the flat out most pain.
Does Loretta have a side job as a dominatrix? She’d be in demand…. Oh, and if you hadn’t caught on that Loretta hates Sabrina, this ep clinches it.
I don’t really have any comments on the panels, each one does its fine job of getting the story forward, the composition, mood and perspective are all top notch as usual. This is an uncomfortable ep to read, but that’s the point. Things aren’t always going to be fun and happy and we see a prime example of that here.
I have got to wonder how getting bent back first into a pretzel shape fits in to the ‘Mancini Project’… This is good for ratings, though.
Brooke would love to see this, but she’s busy with Michael… if Krystin is still in the locker room I think she’s not too woozy to not understand what’s on the TV…
I haven’t always had time to comment this week but I’ve had time to vote, I’ll keep clicking away.
This is going to feel like a long weekend, wondering how Sabrina is going to get out of this one.
Thanks RDF, for the comments and the voting! I’m glad you liked the page and you’re spot on about Loretta’s feelings for Sabrina. Good ratings always makes a happy administration, but as you pointed out, Michael’s with Brooke and possibly trying to find happiness another way. 😉 I do believe we’ll know more on Monday. Re-Thinking about it again.. if not Sun going to cause a distraction, could it be that no good Marina Ortiz. she interfer the match between Suzy “Love” Cettina and “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini. I really really don’t like Marina Ortiz.

again, there’s cetain possible of Krystin, coming out to help Sabrina.. “Latina Chick” Loretta Diaz won against “The Self-Proclaimed Definition of Technician” Krytin Moline. could it be Krystin’s revenge.. then when “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini won the match. Krystin will go into the ring and help Sabrina. Sabrina is still weaken. then Sabrina said to Krystin “THanks for you assist though” then Sabrina shakes Krystin. then BAM!!!! Krystin delivered a devastating divabreaker. then grabs Loretta, and then hit her with the divabreaker.. Both Loretta Diaz and Sabrina Mancini laying down unconscious, while Krystin stand on both Loretta and Sabrina’s body.. Krystin delivered a divabreaker to Sabrina. is kinda like revenge to Sabrina for winning the fatal four way. going back to episode 59, Krystin’s plan is to use Brooke so together they’ll destroy “Ultragirl” Sabrina Mancini. could it be, Krystin still have fire burning inside.
if Krystin is smart enough, Knocking out two angels in one match. Lolz
But chances of this happening is only (5%) coz if Krystin destroy them both.. we won’t focus on the T.V. Tournament.. but we’ll never know.. but if this happen, surely “Red Jen” Jennifer Needles will qualify to the next round.
If Krystin, did that.. I’ll take my word back about firing Krystin..
I wonder.. if Brooke have a guts to say this..Brooke says “I demand a rematch against snowkitten. no more tag team. just a simple one on one match.”
I think demanding a match and making a statement Knockout statement. is a ratings.. ratings and more ratings.. it’s entertaining and enjoyable..

Interesting theories MGC, and not bad. We’re definitely going to see a definitive stance from Krystin, the next time we see her. Brooke doesn’t want any part of Snowy. 😛 Not to spoil anything, but Marina wouldn’t have given the pep talk to Sabrina if she was going to interfere in her match, UNLESS she was ordered to from a superior. Marina wouldn’t do it though, just to get Sabrina the win.
have to admit, this is possibly my favorite page yet. Just love seeing villainesses take it to the heroines!
My opinion? Sabrina’s not going to win this one, but not going to lose it either. There’ll either be interference or a DQ. And Sabrina will have to come back from this one, wrestle other matches against other girls, and build up to a final revenge match against Loretta.
First off, there’s no sign of fear in Sabrina, just a bit dazed. After kissing an announce table and then getting a haymaker like that, it’s kind of expected.
That said, women have a wonderful advantage in a Camel Clutch over a guy, their hips and legs are far more flexible. How is that an advantage you might ask? Well, if Loretta sits back enough to really tork Sabrina’s neck and back, someone as mobile as Sabrina can probably kick her in the back of the head. It won’t be a heavy blow, but it could be enough to unbalance her and let Sabrina squirm free without having to use as much power as a typical make escape.
As I said before, Loretta needed to go for a fast pin and take the match. Instead she got cocky and tried a submission move. Yeah, it’s better than trying to throw some more impact, but it’s still going to give Sabrina time to mentally regroup, even if there’s more damage to her back. I see a rally coming next time we see this match.
Somehow, I have a feeling it’s going to be another peek at Brooke before we see how Sabrina escapes though.
And yes, I say Sabrina escapes. She’s not going to need a run in to help with Dumpy Diaz.
@A Mouse: If we are to assume that the behavior of a wrestler’s hair does indicate her current dispostion, I’d say Loretta’s hair losing composture in the last panel would indicate her getting careless and overrconfident. And is a submission hold, that’s usually when you lose it!
Also note that Sabrina’s hair looks better in the last panel than it did before (the strand of loosehair across the face is gone. If we’re reading the omens right here, then Ultragirl should be on her way back into this match, and Loretta hasn’t realized it yet.
Thinking back to Unforgiven, with all those different titles on the line, I asked myself: How many different titles are there in the Rival Angels league?
I mean, we know that the upcoming tournament is for the TV-Champion title. But are there others? A World Champion? RA-Champion? Archangel? (The latter sounds like the RA’s equivalent to WWE’s King of the Ring 😉 )
Also, since the TV title is fought over in a tournament, is this a newly created title? Or did it become vacant for some reason?

Salazen….’dumpy Diaz?!’ LMAO! I think you’re right about Loretta, in that if she went for the pin, she probably could’ve won but this page is all about showing how much Loretta doesn’t like Sabrina. I do agree about the mental regroup, because physically Sabrina’s tough as they come. We’ll see how it shakes out on the Monday update. 😉
JackAce, currently there is the World Heavyweight title and the World Tag Team Championship. The Television Title is brand spanking new. Archangel sounds very interesting. hmmmm….
MGC, I was thinking that would be a decent counter to the Camel Clutch as well.
