Page 245 – Gloves Off

“Oh hell…” THAT can’t be good, at least not for Franchesca. Any idea what’s going to happen next? Sun bent the rules to get out of that situation before forcing Fran out with a Mafia Kick. Sun’s got the crowd behind her, thanks to some cheerleading from Sabrina. Can the Upstart girls take the momentum back from the York Sisters?
More on Friday!
I’m torn. I think I’ll support the heels.
Sun belives she can fly..Sun believes she can touch the sky…or maybe not, I think she pulled out at the last moment.
I really panel 4: hahaah! look at Francesca..
Panel 3: Jeff Crew said “Listen to these sheep”
look who’s talking.. order for lamb chop!
Panel 5: is the detailed part.. Sun is prepared to executed a springboard moonsault on Francesca..
Josephine calls Francesca “Frannie!” ahahhah! LOL! ROFL!
It’s bit kinda like low in the high sociaty, York Sisters. “Frannie!”
Sorry I never thought the York SIsters used nicknames. specially used “Frannie!” hehehe..
I thought York Sisters call each other using their first name.. ‘Josephine’ or ‘Francesca’ but Josephine calling Francesca “Frannie” kinda like the York Sisters lose a lot of money! sorry! heheh!
Panel 5: Good! the referee is blocking Josephine’s way, so Josephine can’t interfere..
on friday I would see a perfection execution by Sun onto Francesca..
Well, I guess Sun nailed this one. Bad pun, but what else can I do? 😉
Uh oh… That’s gonna hurt 😛
I do so love the commentators. Any colour guy who can actually bust out “she’s running away” is king in my book.
I liked the insert (is that what you call it?) in the last panel. “Oh Hell!” sums it up nicely. Sun’s light, but she doesn’t have much padding either. Ouch!
And speaking of padding, there’s all the padding “Frannie” doesn’t have under her right now. Somehow I doubt the area around the ring has as much shock absorbtion as the ring itself does. Yeah, this is gonna hurt…someone, I’m not going to be completely surprised if Francine manages to move at the last second and Sun splats herself. Still, at the risk of being deservedly shunned for invoking Vanilla Ice…
Go Ninja! Go Ninja!
speaking of that chant!
Go Ninja chant!..
I used that on Jennifer Needles last time.. Go Needles! Go Needles! Go! in which Jennifer Needles loss, still bit sad on that match.. piff!
I really doubt ‘Frannie’ Franchesca York’s durability in the ring, she’s kinda frail, weak! I mean a rake on the eye, then that front kick, really did a devastating damage on Francesca.. 2 moves really make a great damage, while York Sisters completely double team Sun on the last episode.. I mean first the camel clutch/ boston crab combo on Sun, then punch on the stomach. then body side necklock with bodyscissors, then the double are lock. then a kick on the stomach.. then now, after the kickout SUn took the advantage.. while Francesca took only two hits and now in servere pain!
Francesca York is stronger than Sun.. but Sun did more damage in two moves than the last episode combine.. I’m commenting on Francesca York on panel 4 and Panel 5.. I’m sure she’ll get hit..
I don’t know, if wrestlers used padding.. for what? more padding the lighter the damage is..
Picky, that is a worthwhile choice! Â As you saw, they know what to do when they have the upper hand.Â
Prestwick, I never would’ve figured you for a R. Kelly fan. XD Â Just what is Sun planning on doing next?
MGC, I think Sun is going for the Asai Moonsault, where springboard would imply the top rope. I’m glad the page entertained and even gave some curveballs like the Yorks and how they refer to each other. Â Sure they use nicknames, they’re sisters! Â Yeesh, first R. Kelly, now Vanilla Ice. LOL Â Don’t doubt Fran too poorly. Â Most heels take a breather at the first sign of trouble, and we haven’t seen the toll taken on Sun. Â It’s basically one desperation move after another.
Bad puns grow wild here, darkmark. Â It’s all good. 😉
Ha ha Jul, you know it! Â But who’s it going to get hurt more?
bd, it’s no secret that Jeff is a lot of fun to write. Especially since he’s based off of Heenan/Lawler/Ventura.Â
You got it right, Champ. Â Inset panel! Â There’s going to be a collision coming up, just a matter in what manner it goes down. Â Sun’s not afraid to sacrifice her body to take out her opponent.
Cookie Ogre, you can bet your bottom cookie that an impact outside of the ring is going to hurt way more than inside. Â Which is what makes Sun (and Sabrina) so dangerous. Â Their willingness to take the high risk chance. Â Go on and invoke Vanilla Ice, but don’t be surprised if that sort of risk doesn’t cause Sun to miss her target. 😛
Sun right back in the match with lil “bending” of the rules. thats why i like her, she knows when the rules need to be put aside to get her goal.can’t wait for friday to see if she hits the ASai moonsault or not, but hope she smart enough to go for the tag soon before this rush runs out.
Pretty ballsy to do a high rent move on the opponents’ side of the ring. Pretty ballsy.
speaking of Sisters..
York Sisters! good thing they don’t break up! or we could see them break up? I mean like in WWE.. Hardy Boyz break up! then Primo and Carlito breakup.. could the York Sisters also break up?
just curious though!
MGC-san, I meant meat. Sun is boney. And you’re right. That hurts!
I knew the risks when I made the reference. Just so long as Sun doesn’t find out and come after me. There is just NO way to win against a short woman, whether she’s a pro wrestler or not. If you lose, you lose. If you win, she makes you wish you had lost.
Hi Jenn! Â I hear you about Sun’s willingness to win. Â She needs to rub a little of that onto Sabrina. XD Â I think you’ll dig Friday’s update. 😉
Jamie, Sun is the epitome of ‘ballsy.’ Â Her and Sabrina are crazy with their risk taking antics.
MGC, I suppose anybody could break up for any reason, but don’t expect the Yorks to disband any time soon.
Interesting sage advice, Cookie Ogre. Â Advice that I don’t doubt. Â Just best to stay on Sun’s good side as a general rule.
I knew Sun wouldn’t just give up! (Well, I hoped, anyway)… I hope even more that Sun hits her target – she’s probably pretty sore and run down from the double-teaming. Her timing doesn’t have to be off by much to make this move more painful for her than “Frannie”. But I’m looking forward to “Francakes” for Friday’s breakfast – Sunny-side up, please! <Insert demonic laugh…>
What move is Sun attempting there? Is that a sunset flip or what would you call that?
I always like how you do that Gene Colan style thing where you have several steps of a move in the same panel. I liked that in comics growing up but rarely see it now.
Â
Ghost Eraser, perceptive as ever. Â Sun is feeling pretty sore and worn down. Â Could it affect her accuracy? Â Good point though, that even if she’s on-target, she still might take the bump harder than normal. Â LOL at your demonic laugh!
Hey Ken! Â It would seem that Sun is attempting the Asai Moonsault. Â Should she actually go for that move on Friday, you can be sure that I’ll add a youtube clip. 😀 Â Thanks for the great compliment!
