Barring some surprise, it looks like Krystin’s got this in the bag. Certainly, she got Sara to quit woman-to-woman so she’ll always have that. Could this long, often nasty feud be coming to an end? Or is just getting started?
Voting Incentive!
Hmmmm, what could this sneak peek of Wednesday mean? Vote to find out!
Wooo! That’s my girl! Put her down for the final, Krys!!
Ah feinting innocence from the school girl based on the VI, that is why mercy is saved for after the battle is won and not a second before. Of course if this is true Sara’s one leg is pretty much wrecked and a prolonging the fight could endanger her health.
That would have to be a pretty long second between “9” and “10” for Sara to get up and for DefTech to be surprised by it, but we shall see what the deal is. I’m thinking Sara’s definitely done, but someone else has a word for Krystin.
“I’ll stop being trashy” Now that’s a line I haven’ heard in a while. I think i was Snow who said it last after she had one too many and I was taking her home.
But I agree with Chis, it’s not likely to be Sara who’s got Ks attention in the VI.
Even Sara has her limits though now it is both knees, since her left knee was the one injured in the ASS. Still, I find the audience reaction a bit over done because Krystin wasn’t that over to start and even Sara’s actions wouldn’t put aside the heelish behavior and Valentine’s face in peril actions of the match. I definitely knew this outcome was what was going to happen but, yeah, I think it basically gut punches the Valentine character and really does Krystin no favors down the road because she has little room to look vulnerable and sympathetic to the audience.
Unless her family is involved in every single angle or good heels/faces can be found to carry Moline’s lack of stickwork, she’s going to need to be able to be compelling on her own. That’s what seperates Sun and Sabrina from Brooke and Krystine – Sun and Sabrina are compelling in their own rights while Brooke and Moline are lacking in key areas (Brooke in ability and actual non-titilation charisma and Moline in charisma and really not top tier since she was destroyed by the Cat Girls).
The positive: great close ups though and Moline’s technical accumen and game planning has been put over well. Valentine is shown to be very tough and tough to keep down unless about to suffer a catastrophic knee injury (if she hasn’t already).
The part I am really interested in is how this all plays into the job security for Moline. The forgotten part of the storyline is that Krystin was sent by Gabi to clear out the trashy wrestlers. Brooke is on that list (though not sure how her trashy storyline plays out). Who could have come out? Moline’s only allies are Brooke, Sabrina and to a much lesser extent Sun. Valentine is known as a pal of McCourt (odd for a face-heel to be pals) and the rest is unknown.
Possible: the first feud of Sabrina in RA (I forget her name), Veronica Silver (wishful thinking), uh… Lil’ Alexandra (why not), but, yeah, there are only a couple of folks who it could be from links but it really could be anyone. Except Rose Ryoko because she’s shy.
Also: I think it’s obvious Sara is based on Candy Kane from Rumble Roses (like McCourt is based on the teacher) so will Sara become a cheerleader like Candy’s Becky persona? I think that’d be terrific and leads to her becoming Sassy yet again despite McCourt trying to help her keep on the right path.
C’mon, stay down Valentine.
At last Krys does it! But what does the sneak peek mean? Does it mean that the Commish has changed her mind? Or screwed Krys over? Doubtful. Does it mean Valentine got up? That’s even more doubtful. It must be something that pushes Krys up the improtance rankings into the big leagues. But what?
The only time you call quits to a feud is when somebody bigger and badder comes along. Besides, if Sara stops being trashy, the company loses money.
If I was the promoter, I’d try to make Sara fight Krystin’s mother and sisters.
Sara Valentine?
hmm.. Sara Valentine crying…
poor Sara…
can we see Sara Valentine soon? since Sara said “I’ll stop being trashy”
could it be that what Picky said “Sara became a cheerleader”
I would like Shannon McCourt and Sara will form friendship..
Regardless of if she’s gotten up by the 10 count, in this situation I have to say that Sara has been truly and utterly beaten. I’m pretty sure that crying like a little girl in front of everyone counts as a defeat on more than one level.
May I say Krystyn is looking very very nice in all of those panels.
Sara is my favorite so definitely mixed feelings about this. Glad to see that the punishment looks to be over but giving Krystin her ultimate submission in front of the entire PPV audience is a tough way to go down. But very happy for Krystin who showed a lot of class in this match when she let Sara out of that last hold because she didn’t have to.
Time for these two to move on from the feud. Krystin’s job is secure and Sara needs to make a fresh start. I love the idea of Sara as a sexy face. Would like to see Krystin and Sara eventually becoming friends and Sara learning some moves from Krystin. I think Sara getting a mat game and fighting a submission match against Xtina with Krystin in her corner would be awesome. And when Sara loses then Krystin and Xtina in the battle of technicians!
well it looks like even sara’s flexibility has it’s limits. based on the VI it’s over and done with, Krystin has broken Sara down body and spirit at this point and has even “convicned” her to clean up her act. Sara’s not getting up.
Now as for the VI- someone’s ruining Krystin’s party and it looks like it’s someone a bit bigger than her with an imtimidation factor going by her glance. Kat’s the first to come to mind but she’s tied up with Xtina in the immediate future. Since we haven’t seen them in a while i’ll go with Zombie Luna.
“NOOOOO! REF! Make her stop! Sassy never tried to cripple her! Sassy i’m coming!” <charges into the wall of security yelling at them to let her go>
Nun habit? Pleeeeeeease? My package did make it to the arena in time, right? ::grin:: Well done, Albone-san! While it could possibly have backfired, I do like seeing Krystin have one last touch of mercy in her. Not being a face doesn’t mean you have to be a complete jerk, after all.
poor Sara Valentine…
it’s horrible… Sara Valentine isn’t a main character.. took this much torture..
if it’s Sabrina.. it’s fine.. but Sara.. come on.. poor Sara
Good to see that Krystin has the conviction enough to stop… But, will Sara really stay down? You can’t just change your ways that quickly.. . although, Sara was pretty much dismantled from the start of that match.
Dyna, it looks like Krystin is about to wrap this up….though the voting incentive may suggest otherwise. O_o
jabberwocky, I think it goes to how badly does Sara want to win this match versus her long term wrestling plans. She’s won and lost before so I think we all know it’s in her best interest to stay down. If she follows that sentiment is another story.
Chris, I was thinking the same thing about that long second, but I think it was Jessie McKay who torpedoed under the bottom rope to beat the count when she fought Nicole (though I could be wrong about that) so you never know. XD
LOL @ Champ’s Snowy comment. XD Too funny.
Picky, you have some really great, on the money comments there especially because I believe we’re going to explore some of those ideas like Krystin and Gabrielle having a face to face about her job and what that might mean for a future match with Brooke. 😉 Definitely some other things you brought up too, but I don’t want to ruin any surprises. Are you a Veronica fan? She seems to be building a solid following. And I think you’ are thinking of Loretta Diaz for a future opponent of Krystin’s. I think that would be a dynamite match/feud. One quick thing…have I shown that Sara and Shannon were buddies? You’re not the only to mention this but I don’t think I’ve ever shown that, but I could be wrong about that.
Zanan, the Def Tech fan club is with you!
Excellent questions, Baraduin and I promise we won’t have to wait long to find out some answers!
LOL Coel! I don’t think Kiara or Sidney Moline would object to going against Sara Valentine. XD And I agree, something bigger or badder has to come along to end a feud. 😉
MGC, there are no plans to get rid of Sara Valentine. I think by the end of the pay per view, we’ll have a good idea as to what direction Sara will be taking in the future. Sara is a tough girl and doesn’t like to lose, but as you see, you can’t win them all.
Adder, I think you’re right and I think Krystin has proven victorious in this match. More to come on that on Wednesday!
Thanks BBD! 🙂
Selcaro, you have some really cool thoughts and ideas there. All I can say is that the feud may seem over, and with good reason, but will Sara and Krystin’s interaction with each other be over? More to come on that.
jpiv, I think Sara showed a lot of toughness but it’s just not her night, as it wasn’t Krystin’s night when Sara pinned her for the 1, 2, 3. It’s funny you should bring up Zombie Luna, especially since she’s not officially listed on the card….Ah, poor Minxy. I feel your pain.
Cookie Ogre, I totally agree about not being a jerk-face. Krystin’s made her point, seemingly, so she can afford some magnanimous overtures. Cookie time!
The only thing the VI suggest to Mo Chen is that maybe Sara change her mind after she’s lost the match about how she gonna’ act… but Krys wouldn’t leave the ring unless she knew she’d won.
Ninja’d by Kurt!
I’m glad you dig Krystin’s actions here. This match has certainly been personal, but it looks like it could end without any more escalation in their feud. Now will that sassy schoolgirl stay down or not…?
I may have to attempt that submission… man that looks nasty. Especially stopping her from moving and rolling as she did with her stable leg. The other question is, if Sara’s ‘schtick’ is sassy school girl, what will she have to change herself into next? That is… if she has a job.
Al – I think you mentioned that Sara and McCourt sometimes tag together, early on, in passing, on the message board or in a comment here.
well i do recall Sara beat the Prof to get into the TV title tourney way back when (and was mentioned as an early feud on her bio i think). but Al did say later on that they’ve gone their seperate ways/settled their differences or something to that effect. don’t think they’ve been partners or anything like that though.
Thanks, guys! Sara was loosely based on a girl I had run in an e-fed many moons ago and at the last minute, I added red hair and the ‘sassy’ element. But Professor McCourt was actually created by my Mrs, who you might imagine, has never seen nor heard of Rumble Roses which is why I didn’t think I had linked the two of them. It’s not a big deal either way and I certainly wouldn’t disagree with anyone that did on the forum. Thanks for helping clear that up. 🙂
Schoolgirl went into submission. Kristyn did a good job of channeling her anger into the fight, and win! Well done, girl.
Ooof, a modified Muffler stretch. Just the regular ones of those hurt like a SOB. Looks like Sara finally had enough of the punishment the Moline Machine was heaping on that leg. Now, lets see if slutty schoolgirls keep their word, or if they need a paddling
What’s next… The preview shows Krystin outside the ring and there is no sign of Sara standing in the ring behind her. So it looks like Sara did keep her word and stayed down. So what is Krystin looking so surprised at? Can’t help but think that Krystin will be sent after Brooke next.
As for Sara… She has many fans for a heel and if she does clean up her act as promised she may go face and have tons of fans. But Sara needs to be able to defend herself against the technical girls. Every one of her losses seem to have been by submission and everyone knows that if you target her legs or back she can’t take it. Especially after this match her legs will be a target. Until she improves she should tag for a while. Girls will still target her legs but she’ll have a partner to come in and break the hold if/when she gets put in a sharpshooter. Also a singles match with Monica might be good for her and Monica.
Boo! Hiss! I mean I already knew Sara was gonna lose with Kristen’s job at stake, but I still find it annoying that the audience is cheering a submission victory. Submissions should be a heel tactic on principle; inflicting so much pain on your opponent that they are forced to give up!
I also think this conclusion is the most embarrassing possible since a last man standing match involves one person being so hurt that they can’t stand up within a 10 count. Sara just… gave up before that could happen. Now obviously she still took a massive amount of damage, but it just seemed… not anti-climactic… just not as climactic as I would have liked.
Submissions only for heels? Brenda!! Ph3n0m has an issue with submission finishers!
The only options for Last Man Standing otherwise is to knock them out cold. But, usually the drama is all in the struggle to get up with the count running… so, maybe in Krys’ case it is a little different.
This is AWESOME!! GREAT MATCH 😛 and ARTS
and can i hug Sara now?? 😛 <3
and i dont agree with you at all Ph3n0m!!! Submission is awesome and not only for heel. I personaly think that sub movea are a base in wrestling, and all wrestlers must have some sub in their moves set.
And I also think Krystin used her tech talents in a good way to win a type of match!!Her style of wrestling make it usualy difficcult to win a LMS.
As much as i love Krystin’s dark side here its kinda sad to see sara cry , kystin had to do what she had to do sorry sara
Say it ain’t so, Sara! … What? She can lie here and get away with it. Not that I condone it, but maybe a certain Moline of the wrestling variety has a one-to-one meeting with one Mr. Automobile and goes away for a while. Maybe the driver of Mr. Automobile is a certain Valentine of the school-girl variety. And maybe said Valentine continues as she has while the Moline is in the hospital. Just saying. With the Reni’s chosen enforcer out of the way, who then would stop the Valentine from doing as she pleased? She sells, so obviously firing her would be a bad move, even if the Reni otherwise had no other option.
I mean Sara Valentine’s persona.. Sassy Persona.. if she stop being sassy.. it’s sad..
think of it.. taking out Ric Flair signature “Wooooo!!”
if Sara took different path.. I hope that Sara’s persona.. will be like punk rocker.. like Superstar Candy Cane…
Well, Mo, I guess we’ll just have to disagree with Ph3n0m – or maybe teach her the error of her ways *grins
Kurt, it’s a crazy wicked move that I’ve only seen once or twice, but once I saw it, I knew it was for Def Tech. As a little nod to it, when Sabrina was interviewed like 60 pages ago, whe mentioned that Krystin would beat Sara and the image that I used to convey that was an image similar to this update’s panel 1. 😀
Right on, Trevor!
Donny, I think eventually, all sassy schoolgirls need a padding. XD Krystin stuck to her gameplan and it looks like she’s getting the W and to stay in Rival Angels.
Selcaro, I don’t know if you remember but when Krystin spoke with Commissioner Gabrielle at Club Redline about whether or not she’d have to eventually fight Brooke in the name of ‘trashyness,’ Gabrielle was purposely vague but Krystin seemed to think that she would. Will it happen now that Sara’s been neutralized? You are on the money about Sara’s weakness as she’s also lost to Xtina before. What happens next for Sara should be fun for diehard and casual fans of the sassy one. Hmmm…Sara vs Monica is very interesting.
Ph3n0m, I think faces can use submission moves, but I think Krystin would only admit to being a tweener or something like Stone Cold before saying she’s a face. That being said, she HAS enjoyed the fan’s attention and is starting to see why Sabrina digs it so. Was it an embarrassing end for Sara? Well, kinda, but she put up a good fight throughout the match, even hitting her finisher. As for the end being non-climatic…there is a little bit left to this encounter. 😉
Thanks, Svan! I know Sara could use a hug right now, but I think she might also need a help to the back! I don’t think there’s any question right now on who’s the tougher angel, Sara or Krystin.
Comichero, I totally know what you mean about Krystin’s win and Sara’s sobbing. It’s bittersweet.
LOL Tarrasque! Well, that is certainly a plausible scenario but I think we’ve seen enough Sara/Krystin for a little bit….though….there might be a bit more still to come in tomorrow’s update. 😉
MGC, I totally see your point and really, a world without Sassy would be like a world without Captain Hook, if you get my meaning. O_o
Come on, Champ and Dyna! Don’t go whooping up on the readers! LOL XD
That submission hold is sick! I hope Sara actually stays down and does the right thing by her word…but she is a heel so you never know what she’s planning.
