Chapter: Chapter 19 - The Big Night
Characters: Chloe De Sade, Sabrina Mancini
Sabrina’s gotten her second wind! (Okay, maybe her third or so.) De Sade is crumbling like blue cheese. Can she regain the advantage from Sabrina?
Voting Incentive!
Vote to see what Chloe is up to on Wednesday!
Oh, Chloe…you expect mercy at this stage of things? Really?
This is what happens when you push someone to a breaking point. Welcome to your own personal hell…and Sabrina is going to give you the guided tour.
Isnt’ it interesting? Chloe has done a lot to form Sabrina and she made her into what she is today more so than any of the other Rivals.
Oh, that is priceless. De Sade begging for mercy. I love it!
I wouldn’t have gone for the leg. I’d have focused on the midsection. But the leg works too!
Sabrina recovers amazingly fast. She went from out to able to dodge punches that quickly? That’s incredible.
GO, SABRINA! Keep it up! More of the same, and you win!
I’ve watched enough pro wrestling to know that you can recover really quickly if given a chance to recover for about 10 to 15 seconds followed up by a good blow or two your opponent.
“This Fans will never let me down” Sabrina said?
IT’S TRUE SABRINA… I WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN…. FOR A PRICE….. LOSE!! SABRINA!!! YOU DONKEY!!!
M.G.C. seems to like girls bottoms.
Remember never cheer against the winner of the match.
Gee, Chloe, from arrogant to scared brown in 2.3 seconds? Congratulations, you’ve finally convinced me that you really ARE French! Vichy French, to be precise! Just lay back and enjoy the beating you are about to receive, for yea verily you have earned every last moment of it. ::checks the voting incentive:: Or….you can do the smart thing and try to escape from the cage. It won’t give you the win, but it might save your life – or endanger it further when Sabrina pulls you off of that thing. Me, vindictive? Well, I *am* an ogre!
Let’s hear the French Battle Cry! RETREAT!
I HOPE Chloe isn’t representative of the French! Let us not forget Lafayette, mes amis. Nor Napoleon. Nor…but yes, I digress. Instead, let us have Sabrina the magnifique turn Chloe into an overdone piece of French toast! Merci beaucoup!
And Buttercups to you to.
Remember the French are always grand when they are winning but no so when losing.
Napoleon got most of the brave French killed, and so natural selection took a rather different course for the rest…
Well I guess that proves it. From day one we’ve never seen Chloe win anything without the help of her goon squad. Now, without the brute strength of Kat or the speed of Jennifer, she’s backed into the corner and she resorts to begging. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
The Tables have turned… oh yes, indeed 🙂 Sabrina just has to keep the pressure up on deSade and not do anything flashy / stupid to this cagey veteran.
I always say stay focus, stay on offense and no mercy.
Stop, it’s just too much! Oh, the humanity!
Ok… maybe a few more.
One more cool move before it is over with!
Two little words will end your pain Chloe…Sabrina is awesome! She’s gotten her footing back and well it’s time to take down Chloe…I love when she said , it’s all been a misunderstanding…I’m not sure how the back alley beat-down could ever be a misunderstanding. Ever! GO SABRINA!
YAY ‘BRINA! WOOOOO!
…
…all light headed, I need to sit down for a bit…
Panel 4 is a push kick?
Chloe’s not escaping. She’s climbing for some altitude to pull a mickie james out of her ummm hair . yeah that’s it. Incoming!
Another coffin nail?
Looks more like a heel thrust to the quadriceps. One of those will give Chloe a charlie horse she won’t soon forget
No, Donny – the VI.
I know, Mo. I was talking about the first part of her comment when she said “Panel 4 is a push kick”
Sabrina’s got quite the temper there. Perfect for a match like this.
It is odd that Sabrina is changing tactics so late in the game. She’s been hammering Chloe’s gut and pounding her head, but swapping to the legs now? And if you gonna’ do that – pick ONE leg.
Is Sabby doing a ‘waa-waa’ gesture in Panel 5?
From a grappling standpoint, maybe, but from a striker’s perspective, I can definitely see the benefit of taking both legs. It’s not as efficient in terms of number of strikes, sure, but it’s not like you only get so many. Also, if you focus on one leg, they can take the weight off it and stand on the other. That makes the other leg a great target too. Not only can you possibly do more damage to the other leg than you did to the original, but you stop them from having the option of taking their weight off their injured leg while still standing.
In my training, I’m prepared to smash a leg if the opponent has good leg attacks or mobility, but I don’t need to focus on them to the exclusion of other targets to be effective. A couple solid body blows, a leg smash as he starts to protect his midsection, a face shot to straighten him back up and lift his defenses, and then back to breaking ribs if for whatever reason he’s still standing is an ideal combo for me. I’m not picky when it comes to legs, either – you need both to attack or move effectively, and if he’re protecting one, I’ll get the other. In a stand-up fight, legs are a single unit. Striking one effectively damages both. It only really makes sense to focus on one leg if you’re in a hurry and want to wrench one for a submission.
Kick ‘er when she’s up, kick ‘er when she’s down, kick ‘er in the butt, kick ‘er all around!
Go Sabrina Go!!!
Rah! Rah! Rah! Excellent cheer!
2O2BC, I think Chloe is just buying for a bit of time, a second even. I don’t think Sabrina’s going for it. The tour starts in just a second. XD
DragonMan, the girl has found some inspiration and she’s been good at taking away De Sade’s bag of weapons, she’s now on to taking out her legs.
Snowy, I think you’re right about De Sade shaping Sabrina into the fighter she is. Just how long will De Sade’s influence last on Sabrina?
MGC, now is not a bad time to switch your allegiance to Sabrina. After all, Kat and Jen have kicked Chloe out.
Cookie Ogre, I think that your sentiments mirror a lot of other readers here, including Sabrina knocking De Sade off the cage. XD
Darkmark, it just so happens that De Sade is an illegitimate heir of LaFayette’s. But that’s a tale for another time. 😉
Adder, it is a sight isn’t it? lol
Kurt, knowing our little Ultragirl like we do, that’s the real question isn’t it? The Focus?
Chris, I think Sabrina has a few more kicks in her to give to De Sade, per your request. XD
Vekara, this definitely isn’t De Sade’s best moment, is it? And you’re right, she can end it all with two little words. Can Sabrina make Chloe say them?
GoldenGirl, with the action getting more intense, you might not want to sit down…you might miss something!
Hey Champ! Panel 4 is Sabrina laying more kicks into De Sade’s legs. A high-flying move from De Sade would be unexpected and pretty cool.
Zanan, yeah we’ve seen Sabrina’s got an explosive temper and her resolve is shining through. But will it be enough to win the match?
Dyna, yes Sabrina is mocking Chloe!! Waaah! Sabrina’s all charged up and looking to take out what she sees as Chloe’s last weapons.
GhostEraser, way to lead the charge!
finally Brina’s deciphered Chloe’s one track attack and decided to start taking it away from her. Going after the legs won’t soften Chloe up for any of Brina’s known finishers (krystin’s probably been giving her some secret submission lessons that we won;t know about until Brina uses them), but it will take away most of Chloe’s offense. and if you can’t attack effectively you’re not going to make anyone quit anytime soon. then Brina can pick her apart at her own pace.
panel 3 seems to show that Chloe has realized that her taunting has failed to distract Brina from going after Chloe’s main weakness. now it’s time for Chloe plan F if she’s going to survive. not sure if she’s trying to escape out of the cage in the VI or setting Brina up for something. it would require a quick momentum turnaround for Chloe to get the separation beforehand and Chloe’s not an airial fighter so i see much crashing and burning for her whatever it is she’s trying.
Unless she’s trying to goad Brina into chasing her up there and hoping she can knock brina off and send her crashing back to the mat. that’s about Chloe’s only good result out of the possibilities i see on the cage.
I think Chloe’s thought process is “height gives me a little distance from the maniac I got myself locked in a cage with, and maybe if I get a better look I’ll see my reinforcements charging in” more than an attempt at an aerial attack.
BTW, I wonder if this thing is really gonna go on for 20 more pages? We’re getting pretty close to 600, you know…
Sweep the leg! Also, Chloe is such a two-faced coward. I’m impressed she did as well as she has without her lackys.
Chloe’s leg will now be a liability. Go Sabrina! Great call to target the weapon she’s been using against you the whole match.
Did the chanting all of a sudden stop or is it just not there to save space for word bubbles and details? Just a curiosity. Also, simplest tactic in any warfare is to go after great strengths and weaknesses and sometimes they’re one and the same. Choe’s legs may be well muscled, but charlie horses still affect even the strongest thighs. And a well placed kick can bring somebody to their knees.
ah yes chole is falling more victim to her lack of skill. ocne you get those weapons out of her hands and take away her goons and this is what you get. her floundering. chole always seemed the type to me that only shines when she cheating in one form or the other.
That Chole had this coming to her for a long time. 😀
Payback is going to be so good for Sabrina,
If she needs a breather she needs to say I quit. A match doesn’t stop just because Cloe De Sade is a COWARD.
And for the record Napoleon was not French he lead the French but he was from Corsica.
And of course, When the going gets tought, Chloe tries to weasle her way out of it. It seems she didn’t expect Sabrina to have this darker side to her, but she was the one who drove her to it. Chloe is reaping what she has sown, and she can’t handle the harvest
jpiv, I think this has turned into a thinly disguised brawl so of course, Chloe is at a disadvantage. She’s learning the hard way that she’s run out of rope with Sabrina, but we know that De Sade is good for an ace up her sleeve. Just WHERE is Chloe going? O_o
Darkmark, the match will go precisely as long as it needs. 😛 However, Season 1 will go past 600 but I’m thinking not too much further after that. Certainly no 650 or anything like that.
Trevor, that seems to be the sentiment going around the comments, but De Sade might have a trick or two left to play.
RAWF, as far as Sabrina’s concerned, she’s bringing the THUNDER down on De Sade and breaking her in two.
Good catch, Alex! The crowd effects take up a lot of room. Since Sabrina’s talking about them, we can assume that the crowd is encouraging her to whup De Sade’s ass.
Jenn, it would seem that De Sade’s plan was a house of cards. Take something out of it and it’s a big mess.
Marcus Martin, it’s going to be good for Sabrina and many of the commenters here that Ultragirls’ fans. 🙂
Tiffany, it would seem that Chloe isn’t ready to give up. Maybe she’ll turn this back around on Sabrina?
Donny, just like Sabrina, Chloe’s going to stick to her plan til the bitter end. De Sade is not liking this particular Ultragirl… lol
She better not. She’s NOTHING but a COWARD. Without cheating and cheap tricks she has nothing.
Mercy pleas are a weak cover for a weak person. Take it like a man who’s taking it from a Mancini.
Now lets see if this worked.
