And that is the end of Chapter 19 and the Heaven and Hell Pay-per-view. What’d you think? 😀
Season 1 is winding down, but new challenges await the Upstart girls. Who will their future rivals be?
Check out the Ultracool artwork that Sean Harrington of Spying With Lana did! FANTASTIC! You can also check it out at the Rival Angels Facebook page!

Very satisfying ending page. Can’t wait to see how this all wraps up to prepare for the next season.
My opinion of the action, of course, is on the forum for discussion!
Well this is a good spot to start a conversation. So what happened to the Colts? They were my favorite horsie team in the NFL.
So wait.. Maddie is going to marry him!?!?!
Well if you marry a guy who cheats on you while you are dating him maybe he will stop.
What do you think? 🙂
Somewhat disappointment..
rating in storyline: C- to D
rating in art: B+ to AÂ
Bias in ‘Ultragirl’ Sabrina Mancini.. Â Sabrina fought against Katherine and loss, but won against Chloe..
Chloe is fresh, while Sabrina is battered.. that can’t happen.. Â
maybe her nickname “Ultragirl” has to do something about it.. Â
Catgirls should have more length in their match.. more show for the catgirls, also Brenda Rua..
Brenda’s match is somewhat five or six pages.. they were good, but need to show more on her..
thanks to Brenda for posing her shots after match in the forum.. hope to here more update on BrendaÂ
love both Brenda and Catgirls.. (as I holds snowkitten’s head.. as she purrrr!!)
Art base
for years.. following RivalAngels.com
the art is huge improvements are great.. Sabrina’s image, Chloe’s image, Brenda’s image are getting great… Â
Â
Albone does a far better job with the art than I ever could.
Sorry to hear you were disapointed.
I’d give him an overall B…he missed the A by a whisker or an ear. You should have had a catgirl in the audience that easier to see.
Maybe Ultragirl can change her name to Black & Blue Girl BBG for short.
Once can never have to much of a good thing with Catgirls and Brendie.
I do purr good don’t I?
Given enough time and pratice his art will become better and better.Â
          Â
I think Sabrina watches the WWE too much. I mean look at those guys, they just did a Hell in the Cell PPV went through “brutal” matches and 24 hours later they’re in the ring again and I think only one person remembered to sell that fact. The rest Didn’t bother to act like they’ve been hit with a pipe.
I could count a tiny bit of that to adrenaline but that only lasts for so long. I hope that these girls actually suffer some real hardships in the next volume and someone get a few more loses to build on herself.
So far so great! But you haven’t shown us what happened to the other Belles, which I can assume has already happened, now that the three other Upstarts are there. Also, you’re fudging on the soap opera that you began last installment. So we’d better learn about these things fast!
Yes don’t you dare pull a Lost on us and make wonder what happened.
I think I know why this scene was showed before the stuff with Maddie and the stuff with the other Belle’s. This allows for the other “Upstarts” to tell Sabrina what happened with the Belle’s while telling us as well. It did, however, have to be set up beforehand. Both did. As for Maddie, it seems to me to be more like a side-plot, so this scene taking place first doesn’t bother me. Odds are, we’ll be seeing the end of the Hell’s Belles side-plot first, and then the end of Maddie’s.
One reason I say this is that the order of importance of the different character circles seems to go like this (((Sabrina) Other Upstarts/Upstart rivals {Chloe, Valentine, etc}) Other wrestlers and Employees of the corporation and their relations). Odds are, the Maddie side-plot doesn’t coincide very much with Sabrina, but perhaps with Brooke, but the Hell’s Belles side-plot DOES deal with Sabrina directly or semi-directly and is therefor more important to the main plot and will probably come first.
Tell us more Albone or we will plot on your carpet.
*Laffs*Â Yes, she willtoo!
I dunno. Maybe Maddie threatened to castrate Michael or something if she catches him with another woman again. Maybe this isn’t the kind of wedding they’re involved in for love, but rather, Maddie, most likely, has money or political influence or something that Michael wants and he’s only going through with to get that. It’s more common than most people think.
Anyway, I think it’s best to end it this way, with Sabrina, rather than dealing with Hell’s Belles and/or Maddie first mostly because it’s been driven home from the very beginning that this story is primarily about Sabrina, so it makes sense we’d bring the chapter on home with her, then get into it with what becomes of Chloe and the rest of Hell’s Belles and also Maddie’s story.
Yes we all need to remember who the star of the comic is. However I’ve given Albone more than enough material to keep him busy with drawings for a long time.
Okies, so the Ostrich fight was short and strange but it was fun. Â
Group Hug!
I love a Group Hug!

Where is my Group Hug!

Fantastic Storyline, I loved it from beginning to Party Time! AAA+
MORE ‘BRINA!
I would hug you but it might spoil you…then again I need lots of attention.
Pounces on you and hugs you and squeezes you and loves on you.Â
*group hug of +5 Awesomeness*
*Involved in group hug*
We can find out what happened in the other storiylines retrospectively. There’s no big rush.
This is a fine ending for the chapter.
No big rush? Speak for yourself.
Great way to end a match, the Upstarts reunion! Now, the real fireworks are going to begin. Can the most important day of a person’s life, not turn into a high-flying PPV event? Tune in!
Although the price of the dinner really could be considered the Gate fee, where everyone gets a front row seat that would normally cost three times as much from the scalpers selling tickets…
Hmm… instead of a shotgun wedding it’ll be a TLC wedding, it would totally beat out the Bachelorette every week easily. 🙂
Wonder what his Bachelor party will be like? Maybe a couple of mixed nude oil wrestling matches. Bring on Kong so he can have some serious fun.
What’d I think of the PPV? I think it was probably the longest PPV in the history of the sport. It lastedd for what? Like, a year? 😛
Well Chris you think it was long for you think about poor Brenda, she started cleaning my litter box at the start of this and still hasn’t finished.
So any words for us to let us know your next ideas to get us in the mood Albone?
A well earned ending for Sabrina and the gang! Like most of the other commenters, I’m looking forward to the resolution of the Maddie and Helle’s Belle’s subplots. I’m also looking forward to finding out where this PPV put Sabrina in the rankings. Is she going to go after the TV championship? Does the victory put her in the World Championship scene? Or is she going to tag with Sun? I’ve always loved a good tag team match, Albone. =P
Seriously though, thanks for the entertainment. It’s been a nice ride so far.
Yes I do hope we get something better then this. A new Angel. Albone replied to me yesterday that there was still “1 more chapter left this season.” But I have seen enough to stubbornly stick by my statement yesterday, despite what Dragon may have said. There is no proof Chloe is as bad as a wrestler as he claims.
Anyway may I ask, if Chloe was such a bitch, why did she not target the arm more? It was legal to do and she could have/should have finished what she started on it. That is one thing I really and truly did not understand.
I think there are 2 reasons. 1. It’s not clear how badly injured her arm was. I mean, yeah, it could have been out of commission but she was able to use it pretty well anyways. Chloe probably didn’t even see it as a weakness, and if she did (this leads into number 2) she may not have had time. 2. As I said, she didn’t really have time to target it. That’s usually something you do when you have the upper hand and the only time she really had the upper hand was during and after Sweet Agony and even then, she tried to showboat a little and Sabrina turned it around on her so fast, she couldn’t concentrate on the arm.
“No proof”? We have the entire match.
Chloe was fresh. Sabrina had already had a three-on-one match that night, plus the attack afterward, plus the injuries from the attack in the alley. So Chloe had a huge advantage going into the match.
At the start of the match, Chloe was using weapons. Sabrina took them from her easily. That’s just embarrassing. Chloe’s supposed to be the veteran, but Sabrina outclasses her that much standing up? Wow.
Then, after the weapons, what does Chloe do? Almost nothing that isn’t based on the body scissors. The body scissors. Also known as the “guard position.” If something is a defensive posture, which you have to abandon to get in a good attack, it is not also an attack.
The whole time, Chloe was desperately fending off an injured, exhausted woman. She never really got the upper hand until Sabrina gave it to her on a silver platter, and then she squandered it. What part of that makes you think Chloe is an impressive wrestler?
Nice fan arts! Â And what a great chapter! Â Bravo, Alan! Â Bravo!
Recently came across this comic most likely through projectwonderful (Why does it link me to so many good webcomics?), and was so surprisingly hooked by it (Never would’ve thought a comic centered around any sport would pull me in).
I love the artwork, I’ve read only an nth of webcomics compared to many, but probably more than most, and it definitely stands out as unique.
I adore the story – I was finally up to date twoish weeks ago, and I don’t think there was anything that really left me feeling unentertained by what you’ve created (But now I have to face the cruel tyranny of waiting between scripts, as opposed to debating whether to go to bed or to read another ten pages :p)
And finally, the characters just work for me. I don’t know, call me simple and easily amused, but it all works so very well. Love it, and just keep on doing whatever you wish to do, I won’t complain 🙂
Two thumbs up and a simultaneous highfive!
Don’t do it, Maddie! Half of Trevor is still better than all of Michael! Noooooo! What’s that, you’re waiting to ditch him at the altar and then stick him with the bill for everything? And then Jen and Kat will run in and make use of the wedding facilities while everyone’s there and dressed up? Awesome! Great job, Albone, and I am curious to see where things go in the next season. I wouldn’t mind seeing Sabrina share the protagonist hat around, but I know that can be a pain to write for. At the risk of agreeing with MGC, I certainly would love to see more Brenda Rua and Catgirls. 😉
You’re making the cake, right, bro?
Nicely done boss. You get a big hug! What’s that? A bear hug? Well, ok….
Sean does great work. I had a chuckle though to see the little tag at the top of the panel “For ages 13 and up.” I’m thinking he wishes he could see stuff like that at that age LoL
Thank you all for your kind words. You’re all inivited to the party! Woot!
   Â
Perfect ending of the chapter, I’m so glad to hear there’s some more wrap up that’s going to be done. I will say I think everyone can agree on more Brenda, a very talented redhead! Yay. I’m still sticking with my guns on Maddie staying with Michael for money and an easy life. So he cheats, she can horde it over him, use it to her advantage. I don’t know why she can’t be independent and just drop him. Who knows I may still be pleasantly surprised. I think the rating was a little harsh, I would have given a better rating, because Albone, keeps it fresh, you’re left always guessing on what’s going to happen next. So what if you don’t get what you want out of the comic, it leaves room for Character growth and improvement. I’ve loved the artwork improvement it get’s better and better. So all around A+. I’m happy to see what’s finishing up and what’s happening for the future.
All that’s missing is Extacy of Gold playing in the background lol
Thanks Dragonman, and I’m definitely checking out the forum!
Dyna, you got your invitation, so I guess she is!
Thanks for the art rating, MGC. I know this didn’t go down like you would have liked but I’m glad you are still here.
Darkmark, I don’t think I can come up with any better fate for Kat and Jen then what your imagination can come up with. 😉 But don’t worry, we will see Kat and Jen and the fate of Hell’s Belles before the end of Season 1.
Alex, the fates of Maddie and the Belles will be revealed before the end and might possibly be the start of a new beginning.
Snowy, I won’t keep you wondering too long. I plan on tying up the loose ends before Season 2 starts. I think we all could use more Catgirls and Brenda, and it makes me recall that comic strip I did with you and Brenda. XD Â What’s coming up next? Wedding!!
@Golden Girl, Yay for the group hug!
Thanks Stygimoloch!
Kurt! Oh man, a TLC wedding?!  With fans in attendance? You’ve outdone yourself with that one, sir. 😀 Hmmmm, this is going to be a Rival Angels wedding…
Chris, I’m glad you were on board the whole time. 😛
Zanan, great questions. While the girls are pondering what to do next, I see readers like you remember UltraDragon. Hell’s Belles in chaos and the new TV champion. So many things, it’s going to be fun to see how things shake out.
BBD, there will be new Angels coming next season, but we have many great ones here too. As for Chloe’s strategy, she felt that her scissors were better than attacking Sabrina’s weak arm, but you might not remember that she went after that arm several times during the match.
Thank you, Lora!
LordBug, I’m so glad you found us! I’m ecstatic that you are enjoying the comic!  And I hope you find it entertaining and I think you came at a very good time. 😉
Cookie Ogre, you know Trevor agrees with you. XD I love the idea of Maddie ditching Michael and the remaining Belles getting hitched. 🙂  As for the protagonists next season…man, wait til you see what I got coming. XD
Ooop, Champ, ribs…!  Whew, always glad to be close to the champ. 🙂
Thanks Vekara, I’m so happy that you are enjoying the story and I think what Maddie has in mind will be…surprising. Maddie has her mind made up, as we saw last update, and we can assume that Michael is on board. What could go wrong? O_o
Donny, EXCELLENT musical score of choice.Â
Ahh… yes. There’s nothing like a good group-glomphing after a hard match. Ding dong, the witch is dead and they all ride off into the sunset… Well, walk off into the unfeasibly bright corridor lights. Meh, close enough.
Damn, now that’s put a cowboy tune playing in my head.
Sabrina might’ve lost the championship, but she won in the end…in life and friendship. And against that French chick.
But I guess that wasn’t really a question, since the French always lose and run away. Amirite? 😛
Cloe is a horrible wrestler that depends soley on cheap tricks and cheating tactics, because of this she has no real talent of her own, and I’d rather see more development of the angels we have rather than new ones but that’s just me, shrugs.

I remember saying that Rival Angels suffered from a lack of main eventers and upper midcarders that could make the next step. Turns out I was right.
I think your being generous to a few of them. I hope when Albone said new Angels would be shown that does not mean more rookies. If they also leap frog this roster then really…RA is a joke league. The roster as a whole has not been impressive…not…at…all with Sabrina easily climbing over it.
Wow. I disagree with pretty much all of that. Brenda and Yvonne are properly placed, but other than that? Yikes. Move all the Upstarts except Krystin down one tier, for starters. Why is Sun above Krystin? No.
Zombie Luna and Lover Lola are ranked higher than the tag team champs after a successful defense, when all we’ve seen from them is a post-match ambush? Huh?
What’s Jennifer Needles done beyond get pushed around and contribute an extra pair of boots to a Hell’s Belles collective fight? Nothing. She belongs at the bottom of the roster with Brooke.
Amanda Breaker is ranked higher than the people she is a lackey for? How? Why?
We haven’t seen much from her, but I’m feeling like Rampage inspires enough fear that she’s probably the Champ’s biggest threat after Yvonne.
Really, due to the story-driven nature of the comic, I think it’s hard to get a good read on most of these women just yet. But from what we do know, or can infer, a lot of what you’re presenting here is just all kinds of off.
I will try and feel flattered…
I believe Mo Chen belongs up in the Main Eventers. Sure she hasn’t been features as predominantly here in RA, but I’ve seen her wrestle elsewhere, and even had a match against her myself. I think Brenda will agree with me when I say she’s top tier talent
yeah pretty much. Needles is completley worthless, and most of them we have not seen enough from to make those kinds of judgments. Also why the rookie hate? That I don’t get at all. Brina works hard trains hard and gives every match 100% so of course she’s going to do well.
I broke down the rookies’ levels and why I placed them there a few days ago. I placed Sabrina at the upper midcard, Krystin as midcard, Sun as lower midcard, and Brooke at the bottom of the roster, and gave my reasons for all of those. Sabrina’s not the best there is, and I’m glad, because that would make for a boring story – she’s talented, physically gifted, but needs to develop more before she reaches the top. Krystin is much more polished, but not on the same level as Sabrina, and hasn’t had a good storyline. Sun doesn’t impress me as much as Krystin does. I like her, and she’s got plenty of attitude, but I think she needs more training to take someone on Krystin’s level. And Brooke is struggling at the bottom of the roster. She’s got a job for the same reasons the WWE Divas do – they draw viewers in ways other than being good wrestlers.
There’s no shame in any of these positions, except Brooke’s.
Again, Mo Chen will try not to feel insulted.
Mo Chen was finally seen in the comic after the Champ’s match, too. I’ll point to the bit about not knowing about the rankings because we don’t have enough info on most of the wrestlers and how they compare.
thats very true Dragon I would debate the sun position. Sun has solid moves especially her air game. I’d say Sun would be close to where Brina is.
Sun’s solid. Krystin’s outstanding.
Sabrina’s amazed me. Krystin’s impressed me. Sun’s proven herself as a pro, but she’s not an exceptional one yet. Needs experience. Needs grit, really.
Remember, these ladies are supposed to be the best. Standards are high.
… and yet Brooke’s still on the roster. *ahem*
Problem with Sabrina is she is suppose to be a rookie, but she seems to be able to beat veterans that have worked as hard as her and for longer. The lack of showing from the roster, just make them all seem weaker then Sabrina…even Rua. I only giver her the nod because she is the champ.
In my first fight, I went against a respected veteran. He was bigger than I was, in better shape, more technically skilled, and far, far more used to the environment. Pretty sure I was supposed to be a confidence-builder going into his trip to the international championships a few months later. On paper, I lost the match by TKO, but no one who saw it believes I really lost. The look of stark terror on the man’s face when I took his never-fail knockout shot and got angry instead of sleepy? Priceless.
The length of a record doesn’t mean a whole lot about who’s better than who. Natural ability, training, determination, all of that matters more. And Chloe was lacking in those areas.
This PPV was the first time we saw action from some of the biggest names in the business, true, but I thought the match between Brenda and Black Widow was awesome and showed that Sabrina has a way to go yet before she’s on that level. If you don’t agree… that’s unfortunate.
Thank God someone was able to totally forget about Sabrina’s loss to Kat for the TV title. By the way, can we also pretend that young fighters don’t win, like the real life UFC fighter Jon ‘Bones’ Jones? I am SO pissed that he beat veteran Rampage Jackson last month that I could just forget about it. I mean, he’s 2 years older than Sabrina and get this….14-1 record. That UFC is just HORRIBLY weak, I can’t see why it’s the fastest growing sport in the world. Oh, and how can I forget that he’s a champion too after only 7 fights. WEAK.
To be totally fair, the loss of the TV title doesn’t count for much when it is admitted twice that Sabrina would have won, despite the greater number of assaults received, if it hadn’t been three-on-one.
Apart from that, though, yeah, rookies are not to be taken likely. Time served is a pretty small factor.
