Ah, memories. Some happier than others. If you think Brooke’s flashback sounds familiar, you might be remembering THIS.

Ahh yes, the past always has a way of raising it’s little head, only for the present to smack it back down. It’ll be interesting to see what happens next. Ironically, they actually just showed up now and weren’t really at the wedding. They car-pooled to get there, I bet.

How is it that she and Krystin never crossed paths previously?
If you look at the bios of each of the girls they were scattered throughout the US. Which meant that at the time when they where coming up through the development leagues or when ever these lessons or encounters took place the “Original” Upstarts probably traveled to those areas to train them. That’s the best alibi I got for the flashbacks.

And MGC, I hope Vixxen is a wrestla’. Hate to think someone named their child that otha’wise.

Ah nothing like your mentors showing to make you feel like a nervous newbie all over. I wonder what the mentors thought of their respective prodiges performance in the PPV? This violatile by the minute and I have a feeling Maddie might has this done to get back at Brooke.

When will Brooke gain some self confidence she doesnt need to sleep with people to get ahead if she actually would work on her moves. She has the brute strength if she just worked on her talent she’d be a decent wrestler. I actually feel sorry for her a little bit..

Good memory, MGC! As for Vixxen, she’s not an active wrestler anymore, but more of an…um, administrative assistant to Hazzard. And his current girlfriend.
Annie and Wokinshadoze, yes, the Upstart girls share some of the same friends and while Kyle stayed in one place with Sun in Detroit, Tommy was flying around. Tommy is easily the most responsible and most respected Original Upstart.

Dyna, I actually just saw that video with AJ and Rage…something like, ‘all the rage’ or something? Not to split hairs, but we don’t know for sure that she *slept* with any of them. 😉 Okay, her past is about to come up soon.

I was thinking about it, and this revelation is kinda weird. There was an original group called the ‘Upstarts,’ and the girls trained under them, and Gabrielle hired all of them at once and forced them to stay together and arranged for them to be collectively called by the same name, and at least as far as I can remember, nobody’s said anything about all this yet. Very strange.
Oh well. I’ll buy it, but there needs to be an acknowledgement of “oh yeah, we did that deliberately” or something. Unless that happened ages ago and I just don’t remember it.
Yeah–I liked thinking/knowing that the girls were the original Upstarts, and they earned that name on their own!

Yes, I realize that there’s some big coincidence here for it to shake out like that, but not any crazier than say, LOST, eh?
I thought I remembered something like that being the start, but that’s a pretty mind-bending coincidence if Gabby snatches up the proteges of all four of these guys at once and forces them to live together, and somebody coincidentally gives the resulting group the same name as their mentors’ group. It’s kinda painful to imagine Loretta using the name of a group of famous wrestlers as an insult, too. Hm. I don’t like it.
Eh. I’ll get over it. Not the smoothest trick I’ve seen you pull, though.
Not really wise just struggled with my own self image, and low self esteem issues so I can easily understand Brooke very well, Albone I think you write all the characters really well. Would be interesting to see some of Brooke’s pre wrestling past to see why she’s so fragile like that but yeah.

Well Tiffany, it can be tuff to go through school being bigger than most of the boys, not to mention all the girls. Maybe that’s why she has to be center of attention now. Understandable. But not on my watch 😉
Yeah it is understandable like I said I have my own reasons for having issues like that that I really don’t wanna get into at the moment.

-Sabrina is Jeff Hardy in moveset. Since she was trained to wrestle that way, it wouldn’t be right to expect an amateur wrestling masterpiece form her. Rival Angels needs all the help it can get.
–This is the reason why Sun is in the Smythe Division and Krystin has to settle for the Patrick. Sun has the backing of some influential people and so far, she is making the best of it. With Krystin, we see her training with Tommy Maxwell and, surprise surprise, she thinks she’s going to show up the teacher. She overestimates herself and her abilities.
-“Technical” in pro wrestling today doesn’t mean much since every wrestler has been trained that way. It’s just a term you throw out there when the wrestler in question is unable to stand out from every other wrestler who was trained that way. That’s when you have to have a good gimmick to get noticed. Krystin doesn’t have that yet.
-Marshmallow pie? You must mean Brenda Rua’s native dessert.
JSN what are you smoking? Sabrina has shown us a lot of talent and ability she’s not just an amatur. You just can’t handle the fact that a non heel can win matches, well guess what most of your so called heels even in modern wrestling are heels because gasp they suck at wrestling and need to cheat in order to win.
